PART 41

Next morning geet made sure she got up before maan. It was a beautiful morning, she felt something unusual in a nice way. Her lips curved into a small shy smile glancing her husband who was sprawling on the other side of bed. She smiled adjusting the pillows before heading out for shower .

Next whole week went by quickly. Maan was held up with demanding clients and in the events of their new launch. He was so packed in the work that he practically stayed back in office at night. The client burden was too much to handle, hence RK chose to handle the rest of the escalated matters.

Rk was not satisfied with maan's efforts towards geet but he couldn't complain due to his commitments to the project. Geet could see both of them striving hard to get things right. She decided to do rest of the works which did not require their interference. The work load in KC all of a sudden was too huge to handle. Every employee worked extra but Geet and Maan worked late nights. Geet made sure RK went home at time while she stayed back with maan in his cabin.

She wasn't used to see him so stressed out, upon pondering a lot, she took up his work little by little. Correcting the blue prints, rectifying the mistakes ,resolving emails she did it all so that he could breathe a little. It was later maan could sense a little less burden, and he felt healthier. He was constantly on the laptop working, he dint even realised Geet was around him, in his cabin until today.

Today when she placed the coffee mug on his desk, he noticed her bangles , She was wearing a sari. It wasn't because of the sari, he felt she was very anxious around him. She was constantly twirling the end of pallu , biting her lips maybe making an effort to say something. He waited for her to speak but, she began walking back to her seat . His brows arched as he grabbed the hot mug while gazing her top to bottom. She looked heavenly !She was clad in deep orange reddish sari. Her blouse was sleeveless with a little fringe on each corners. He almost clogged the coffee, the minute his eyes fell on her petite waist.

He immediately averted his eyes and began coughing. " what a surprise wifey! Maan singh khurana you are in for a lovely treat he thought.

"but whats so special today? All other times she wore sari, was for certain occasion he was keen to know.

But a mail popped up and he got back to his pending work . Geet observed him from the corner of her eyes, feeling his distraction but couldn't apprehend the reason .

"babaji.. Geet cribbed looking around people decorating KC effortlessly for their Boss s birthday party .

"babaji..RK sir ne toh bol diya decoration karo..cake cut karo par par.Maansir. .

She Just Prayed To Babaji for Maan" s Positive Reaction.

"he he hehhe...Geet..sab decorations hogayi hai.. aaj toh maan sir ka birthday hum bilkul special tarah se celebrate karenge Adi said chirpily

" you are sure na adi sir.. She uttered nervously pushing back her glasses..

"he he he...haaa geet... Adi comforted her though he was equally worried and scared as geet.

"this is gorgeous...mishty.. I am sure maan will love it " said RK as he stepped in the mail hall.

" really dad? Geet asked as she ran to hold his arm for support. " ha beta... He patted her arm. He knew maan wouldn't like this decoration it wasn't MSK style but today he wished to celebrate his birthday . Today years later he was with him on this day, it was more than a reason for him to rejoice.

"lets call him now mishty... Rk pronounced making everyone halt ...Geet nodded and handed him the phone.

" Yes dad... he spoke over Bluetooth while looking into some files.

"okay dad, should I come to your cabin...??

"Alright dad ill come out...in a minutewith that he stood up and strode outside..

"SURPRISEEE

The moment he entered, a loud roar welcomed him. " Happpyy birthdayyy Maan sir, MK, Maan he heard them say.

He was welcomed with whole staff wearing birthday hats with unsure smile on their faces, RK smiling widely with his arms open while geet and Adi almost hiding behind his arms.

"happy birthday son Rk wished him embracing him tightly... " god bless you son

Maan smiled and embraced him back I almost forgot its my birthday "

"well but I cant let you forget... He pinched his cheek. Sweetly.. Dad please... Maan warned him and straightened himself..

" maan sir seems fine..hai na Geet.. Adi commented nervously.. Geet nodded heaving a peaceful sigh .

Everyone came ahead to wish maan..His staff members, tasha , adi , sahsa pinky...but geet stood in the corner quietly with eyes on the floor.

Maan slowly glimpsed her.. waiting for her wishes.. SO the sari was treat for me...she wore it for this occasion . he chuckled .

"Its time for cake cutting...adi pinky get the cake...Mishty beta what are you doing there..come here..

Adi and pinky left to get the cake...while geet took tortoise steps towards them.

"what happened..mishty... Rk questioned her as she stood next to him... " Nothing...sir.. she shook her head...

" babaji...how do I wish..maan sir.." Poor geet was trying to wish him since morning but just couldn't say, either was immersed in laptop or he was yelling someone over call.

"ohh...this is a important call..i shall be back in a minute.. Rk said picking up his cell and moving out..

Maan stood next to Geet and cleared his throat " chasmish... He said sweetly

" hmmm...yes sir...

" yeah sare decorations tumne kiye??

She nodded her head, pushing back her glasses.. yess... he smiled..

" achaa... so cake bhi mere liye... " he pointed the cake adi was getting...

She nodded again..

"phir wish kyu nai kar rahi ho...?

She dint reply...just clasped her hands together..

" chasmishh...

" yes...sir...

" yeh...ballons bhi mere liye... He pointed balloons placed in the corner.. She nodded..

" so yeh sab mere liye??everything for me? She nodded again..

"acha...phir chasmish...yeh sair bhi mere liye..hmm.. he whispered huskily gliding his hand under her pallu to her creamy waist..

"hmmm..? She jolted with his touch and raised her eyes up..

" bolo na... he slightly pressed her waist..making her squirm.. She looked everywhere but him... Everyone was busy with themselves and thankfully no one was observing them..

"say it geet...

She raised on her tip toe, smiled at him gracefully and whispered slowly

"Happpyy...Birthday...maaan making his heart stop. It was the first time she called him maan, after pestering her so long..today she whispered his name.. It was his best birthday gift..The way his name sounded in her voice ..it made him feel special..

He kept staring her eyes, which reflected her love, those cheeks turning pink giving away her feelings and her smile...

"he he he he..maan sir geet... adi interrupted their beautiful moment..breaking their trance.

Geet looked away and tried to step away...but maan held her firmly. She glanced him..but he was looking straight...still holding her hand.

"lets cut the cake maan sir...Rk sir bhi aa gayeAdi said as Rk arrived ..

Maan nodded...held her hand leaning down to cut the cake along with her. This gesture made geet so overawed and surprised too. Not just geet , Rk too was overwhelmed with maan's response .

Everyone in the room clapped as maaneet cut the cake together. Her hand was cold , but his fingers glided in hers making them feel better .

He took the first bite and fed RK.

" i am so proud you beta.. Rk blessed them wholeheartedly..

Maan then took the cake and fed geet.. and the whole office cheering for them. Geet had a small bite and smiled at him .

"Geet tum bhi maan sir ko cake khilaao... Adi suggested...

"mai...?

" ha...yeh lo..take this .. He cut a small portion for her to feed Maan.

Maan grinned seeing her blush, as leaned to him to feed the bite . He held her hand not letting her do so..making her halt..

"Sorry guys... I don't eat sweets... He denied formally and thanked everyone...Thanks for the party guys...and..sorry geet... His stern smile made her puzzled .

Maan dismissed everyone and staff resumed back. Rk and geet were only left confused with his behaviour..

" babaji... unhone cake kyu nai khaya?? Mujhe toh unki harkate samjh hi nai ati... She pushed her glasses making a long face before entering his cabin.

Maan noticed her , looking at him with those confused expressions. He chuckled inwardly and pretended to look in the lappy..

The whole day passed by.. His clients came in and wished him. Every time some one wished him, she looked away and maan would smile.

Their sweet session was observed by RK who was present in Maan's cabin few times. It was best he left both of them alone, as his sons had other plans it seem.

" mishty..I am soo tired I am going..home..Rk told her ready to leave..

" ji..dad... She glanced at maan and stood up...grumpily " mai bhi aap k sath chalti hu I am done with my work... she said looking down..

Rk smirked raising his brow at maan..who shook his head... gesturing him no..

"chale..dad.. Geet said picking up her hand bag ready to leave.

Maan stood up making a annoyed face shaking his head.. NO DAD NO he imitated

"mishty...beta...how can you come...he hugged her side ways.. Dekho na Maan is piled up with work.. You helped him finish and then come with him..okay...

She dint want to stay, but RK was right. There was so much to do and at least she can help him with his burden .

She nodded sadly and said bye to Rk.

Rk lovingly patted her head glanced at maan, who just grinned and left them alone.

As soon as RK left ,Maan's cell rang ..he crossed his chair and flipped to the other side..

" yes ...

" whats the plan...my son?

" meeting is scheduled at 9pm at TAJ "

"that's like MSK, happy birthday son enjoy your date..He smiled hanging up..
