Today's night seems to be never ending for maan..holding his geet's hand..his eyes were themselves sparing a second to look at the wall clock present in the room...the slight movement of the second hand too seems to take ages...how he wished that this night passes in blink of an eye so that he can see geet all safe and sound around him..but seems like nothing is in his favor today... sighing he looked at geet's calm face... and spoke...
Maan- bas karo geet...don't punish me this much..its getting unbearable now...just open ur eyes and look at me...please...please...
His whole night passed in murmuring this only...
Finally the morning sunrays made there way inside the room not only illuminating the room but also the life of maaneet...the new sunrays brought new hopes with them...
The bright sunlight finally disturbed the never ending sleep(for maan) of geet..she was disturbed which caused the slight movement of her facial muscles and maan who was just naharofying her face from last night..how can he miss that slight movement..finally his geet was waking up from deep slumber..his heart was finally feeling the tinge of happiness..after few more disturbance she finally opened her eyes only to see the worried eyes of maan looking at her..
Maan- gee..geet..., from his dried throat , her name escaped..and unknown to him a tear of happiness to fell from his eyes and landed on geet's cheek..
Feeling the wetness ..geet's attention got diverted , her hands moved to her cheek and touched the teardrop...she looked at maan..specifically his eyes.. to her surprise there was not a single trace of tear in his eyes and but then what is it in her hand..confused she looked at him..
Maan- u r feeling good geet??..is there any pain?? U r feeling okay na??, worriedly he asked...
This pain..this concern...this worriness..was something new which geet is witnessing in maan..she was confused by his behavior...
Whereas her silence was making maan more tensed..not getting any answer from geet in response to his questions..was increasing his worry..
Maan- geet..kuch toh bolo...he was desperate to hear her but geet was busy in analyzing his actions not caring to answer him...
Maan patience finally broke and he got up to call the doctor...that's when geet noticed his bandaged hand which was unusually red...her brain was not so fast to conclude anything but when she noticed him limping...a blur memory of their accident strike her...her eyes roamed at her surroundings and she concluded that she was in hospital..she tried to get up but the pain in her back didn't allowed her..few drips were attached to her hands..she got to know that her forehead is bandaged when she touched her head..that's when a thought strike her that even maan's had a bandage on his forehead and his hand...
Geet(st)- was it blood...this thought worried geet..now her eyes were fixed on room's door in his wait...
Soon her wait was over when she saw maan coming inside with a doctor followed by Vicky...
Maan- doctor see geet is not speaking anything..i asked her so many times but she is not answering anything..i ..don't... doctor has to cut him in between..
Doctor- mr.khurana please calm down..let me first check...turning towards geet she asked.. Mrs.khurana are u not able speak anything??
Geet- I'm..okay doctor.., meekly she said.., doctor looked at maan and shook her head..
Doctor- are u facing any difficulty while speaking..
Geet just shook her head in no...
Doctor- hmm... after that doctor checked her up and asked, r u feeling in pain??
Geet- slight pain in my back..i tried to get up but...
Doctor- that's because u have few wounds on ur back..they will take time to heal till don't put much pressure on ur back..hmm..geet nodded her head, anything else??..geet eyes moved on maan's bandaged hand which was soaked in blood..she wanted doctor to change it but was hesitating..following geet's gaze doctor saw maan hand..
Doctor(st)- god! Doono ek jaise hi hai...worried for each other.. then doctor turned towards maan and said..Mr.khurana she is fine..u don't have to worry unnecessarily and if u don't mind..can u know allow us to change ur bandage..she eyed on his hand...
But for maan it was only geet's health which mattered at the moment..if geet is okay then he is okay too..not even glancing at his hand and he spoke
Maan- no need doctor..i'm okay!
All other present in the room were surprised by his answer...
Vicky- but bro..its red..change it..
Maan- red??, that's when his eyes landed on his own hand ..oh..
Doctor(shook her head on his careless attitude)- I'm sending a nurse she will change ur bandage and did u take ur medicines mr.khurana?
Maan-a..a..y..but he was cut in between by Vicky
Vicky - no doctor...last night I tried but he denied..vicky complained while maan glared at him..
Doctor- ur careless attitude about urself will harm u mr.khurana...saying this doctor left.. leaving behind geet who got worried about maan health...she too wanted to scold him but didn't have that much confidence or say she was hesitating to do so..
Maan- don't u thing u spoke too much today?
Vicky- bro..i just told the truth..what's wrong in that..
Maan- I will...but Vicky didn't wait to hear any of his lecture and ran to geet..
Vicky- thank god geet u r okay...tumne toh hume darra hi diya tha..now be a good girl and jaldi jaldi think ho jao...cheerfully he said, which brought smile on geet's face..maan too moved closer to them..and smiled seeing her smile..for a second both eyes met but soon geet averted her gaze from him...
Vicky sensed the awkward silence between them and he felt like a kabab mei haddi ..so deciding to give them their needed privacy he left making some excuse..
As he left..maan sat beside geet and looked at her..the memory of his confession was still fresh in her mind..and it was making situation more complex for her..it seems that so many things were still left between them to be talked about but at the moment nothing was left to talk...
Finally maan initiated to break the wall of silence between them..
Maan- so u are angry on me ..that's why u r not talking ...maan complained.., his statement made geet confused, she looked at him with the same confused expression
Maan- now...don't give me that look geet..i asked u so many questions but u didn't answered any but when doctor asked u ..u answered her immediately..
Geet rolled her eyes on his assumption..
Maan- now too u r not answering...u are angry right?, hearing his painful voice geet was going to say something when they got disturbed with the knock on the door..both looked up only to see a nurse with a tray in her hand...
Maan(annoyed)- yes??
Nurse- sir...mam have asked to me to change ur bandage can I come inside?
Maan- no need..u can go!
Both nurse and geet were shocked after hearing his reply...maan waited for the nurse to go away so that he can continue his talk with geet but when she didn't he was highly annoyed..
Maan- I said go!
Nurse- but sir..., maan was again going to speak but this time geet interrupted him...
Geet- u can come inside, shocked maan looked at her...U need to change it maan ..she eyed his bandage or else It will get worse...
Maan- first say u r not angry on me and u will answer my all questions then I will...he spoke in low voice which was just audible to him and her..
Geet surprised to see his childlessness..in this few minutes only she saw these many shades in him for the first time...
Seeing her silent, maan said- that means u will not talk to me..thik hai..i'm sending the nurse back..as he turned to face the nurse...
Geet- I'm talking to u!, she uttered those words which brought an automatic smile on his lips
Maan- u can come inside!, he called the nurse inside..
While on other side..
Vicky thought to go and inform sameera about geet getting his conscious and to get an update on nishi too...
As he entered in sam's cabin , he saw her packing her stuffs in her bag..
Vicky- are u going?
Sameera who was busy in stuffing her things in her bag looked up and saw Vicky..
Sameera- my night shift is over ..but will be back here after freshening up...how is geet and maan??
Vicky- both are good..geet has gained her conscious..
Sameera- that's good news..i will go and meet her.. she was ready to go and meet geet but Vicky stopped her
Vicky- nahi...don't go now...
Sameera- why?
Vicky- I think bro and geet will need sometime together..so..
Sameera- oh...okay will not disturb them now...baad mei..
Vicky- by the way how is nishi?
Sameera- she is stable but as doc said she will take time to get her conscious..so we have to wait..
Vicky- hmm...
Nurse was finally done with changing maan's bandage..as she can't warn him so she requested him not to move his hand much or the stitches will again open...not paying much heed to her requests maan just nodded his head in acceptance..soon the nurse left and maan got the chance to talk to geet again..but as soon as he uttered geet..dadima arrived there to disturb maan...
Dadima- geet finally u r okay..we were so scared for u..moving to her she kissed her on her forehead showing her affection towards geet..
Geet- I'm fine now dadima..
Dadima- hmm..then she looked at maan and asked..aap toh thik hi hogaye..
Maan- ji dadima...
Dadima- I have brought breakfast for u both..eat fast so that u both can have ur medicines...then she helped geet to sit up...
Maan- dadima be careful...she have...
Dadima- maan I know..before coming here i had a talk with the doctor,don't worry..
Placing the breakfast in the plates she offered one plate to geet and other plate to maan..both had their breakfast followed by their medicines silently...
Dadima- u two rest..i will go and ask doctor about ur discharge...
Maan(st)- finally!!!! Now I will get my chance...
Inside maan was happy that finally dadima is leaving them and now he will get the chance to talk to geet alone...but his happiness was short lived as when dadima was stepping outside the room at the same time Vicky along with sameera entered inside the room...
Maan(st)- not again...
Whereas geet was surprised to see sameera there..
Geet(surprised)- Sameera..
Sam- surprised to see me!!, coming close to her she hugged her carefully..
Geet- yes..but...
Sam- will tell u the whole story later...but I'm surprised for the first time instead of shying from me u greeted me with ur surprised reaction..loved this change in u!
Geet- nahi..aisa..
Sam- hai hai..leave it..how r u feeling now?
Geet- I'm good..but how come u r here..
Sam- will tell u everything later...it's a long story...u should rest...
Seeing sameera, maan remembered that she is the one who saved is geet and gave a new life to her and him..saying thank you to someone was rare thing for maan but when there a perfect reason to say it then why to back out..forgetting his previous encounter with sameera, maan finally said thank u to her..
Maan- sameera..thank u...what u did for geet is...but he cut him in between..
Sameera- maan no need to say thank u...that was my duty to save geet..agar mei geet jagah hoti toh geet bhi wohi karti jo meine kiya...so don't make it a big issue like I have done some mahaan kaam..
Maan- I can understand ur view but still thank u..
Sameera- ur thank accepted , happy now..
Geet- thank..u ..kissliye..
Sam- question bank start again.. geet kaha na sab baad mei..u should take rest now...but geet is not any less too..she too forced sameera to tell everything ...and then their talks began..and soon Vicky too joined them..
Poor maan..he was finding a chance to talk to geet but one or other comes to disturb them...soon yash and meera too came there to see geet and maan...
Getting bored by their continuous discussion and same questions again and again ..he left geet's side and went to seat on the sofa present in the room..
From there he saw how much geet was happy to be around her friends..he wished to see this happiness always on her face...
Don't know when when his eyes closed while glancing on geet..and he slept..
After meeting the doctor dadima came there, she was surprised to see the visitors...
Dadima- guys I know geet is okay now..but don't u all think she needs rest too?
Then only all realized that there were disturbing geet's rest...but before they can say sorry geet said- no dadima..they were not disturbing my rest..i was enjoying their company..
Dadima- hmm that I can see..anyways I have asked doc about the discharge..till evening she will discharge u both..her eyes were looking for maan but not finding him ..she asked, where is maan??
All looked here and there and finally saw him leaning on sofa while sleeping...seeing him sleeping all faces were covered with sweet smiles..
Dadima- finally he is taking rest...
