Stepping in his room he shut the door behind him trying to shut the haunting memories of his past, dropping down on floor he held himself tight , trying to forget it, till date he hate himself , he hate himself for being so weak , wish he was strong enough to face Reet, wish his heart was that strong to face the heart break, then she would have been alive now...Yes he had accepted that Reet never loved him , she was not meant to be his but still making it understand to his heart that time(past) was difficult for him, that time his heart was not ready to accept it, it was still craving for her one lovable glance towards him but his mind knew it was not possible, you can get anything in life with force and money but getting someone's love is something different, sometimes you get it without any effort but sometime even if you give whole of your life you don't get it..
Yes it was easy to understand but was it easy to accept too, no definitely not for Maan..Love is something illogical, he loved her, he loved her a lot , he was even ready to give her to Rajveer because her happiness was with him, he knew one day he will get used to see them together but at that moment his wounds were fresh , his heart was not that mature to accept everything at once, he needed time, he needed some space, but Reet's presence around him was only making him weak ,he craved for her, he craved for his friend who always stood by him , he wished to go to her and pour his heart to her like he usually do but he knew he can't, as it will weak him further, he avoided her but his ignorance was torturing Reet, he hated to see her like that, closed in room crying all day all because of him, everything was frustrating him, he was not even allowed to ignore her as it pained her and seeing her in pain pained him, there was no one in the world to whom he can go and pour out everything..,that time only one option was in front of him to send Reet away, in that way she will be away and he will get his desired time...was it wrong??
For once in life he thought about himself, he just needed some time to get used to reality, to make his heart understand.. without giving any trouble to anyone,after all it was his problem why should other suffer in his problem but god punished him for that..He took them away..
Like him they (Reet and Rajveer) too have dreamt about their future , though his dreams were crushed but their...his one decision destroyed everything...and for that he could never forgive himself, his one decision cost them their lives , their wishes, dreams everything was shattered just because of him, they left the world...leaving Maan with his guilt, a guilt from which he could never overcome, he wanted to beg for forgiveness but to whom, the suffers were not there...
That's why he decided to punish himself , his one decision snatched their future, a future which was full of happiness, they lost it and now he too don't deserve it , he don't deserve any happiness , any love from anyone not even from his family that's why he distanced himself from them, buried himself in work , but he never knew him distancing himself from his family will hurt his family members, it was stupid of him that in five years , he so blinded by his guilt that he never noticed it, why whenever he do something for himself he ends up hurting others, until Geet spoke about it to him,that his absence was hurting them, to check what she was saying was true he came early next day and the reaction he got made him believe indeed in his guilt he was hurting them, he never knew his mere presence will make them this happy..though he didn't thanked Geet on face but from inside he was really greatful to her..from that day he tried to became more patience and soft towards her, but today her one simple question reopened his wounds again, he was again in the world of his guilt, his remorse...right now everything was suffocating him, there was no relief and he knew today even his office work too would not be able to give him the desired solace , he wanted to forget everything right now and there is only thing which will help him to forget it...
Getting up, he opened his room's door and came out...
Geet who was not able to sleep was in kitchen to have some water when she saw Maan coming out of his room, his current messed up state clearly told her that something is definitely wrong with him, she saw him grabbing the car keys and moving towards the main door..
Geet(st)- where is he going in this state and that too in midnight???, her brain which works in jet speed soon found out the reason and she ran in his direction..
Before he could get hold of the door's handle out of no where Geet came in between him and the door , blocking his way...
Geet- you are not going anywhere!!, she declared..
First Maan was shocked due to her out of sudden appearance and then her words, which sounded more like an order to him...
Maan- get aside Geet!
Geet rapidly shook her head denying him..
His brain was already messed up and on addition to that Geet's weird behavior was testing his patience level..
Maan(sternly)- I told you to get aside so move!, he warned, his warning tone was enough to scare Geet but she knew what he was going to do will do no good to him..if she can stop him then she will use all her power to do so..
Geet(scared)- see Maan I..
Maan(gritting his teeth)- get aside.., he was trying it all to control his raging anger at that moment...
Geet- Maan why don't.. but it was enough for him now, getting hold of her arm he strongly pulled her away from the door,shocking her..as he left her arm Geet looked at it, his fingers left their impressions on her arm
Maan- sorry to pull you but you were testing my patience level.., these marks will remind you not to come in my way!, saying so he turned to leave but at the same moment don't know how Geet snatched the car keys from his hand, she was too quick that even Maan too didn't get the time to react..on the other hand when with a jerk he left her arm her eyes landed on the keys which he was holding in other hand , his grip was not so tight and she got the perfect chance to snatch it!
Seeing the keys in her hand, angered him..
Maan- what the hell!, give my car keys back!, he ordered..
Geet- no I'm not giving it back to you!
Maan- are you out of your mind or what?? , I'm not in a mood to play games , so give the keys back!
Geet- I'm not playing any games Maan..I'm just stopping you for going on wrong path and I'm really very sorry for asking you that stupid question my intension was not to hurt you..it was stupid of me to even ask you that but..
Geet was busy in blabbering , which was hard for him understand
Maan- Geet stop! what rubbish are you speaking?
Geet - it's not rubbish I'm genuinely sorry..I know because of me today you remembered Di..you must got sad and to overcome the past memories you are going to drink outside, so that you can forget it all but trust me its not the solution.. , you are just spoiling..., but Maan cut her in between as he wasn't in a mood to hear her moral lectures
Maan- enough! ,(taking a step forward, seeing him coming close Geet stepped back) give the keys!
Geet(shook her head in no)- no.. and she ran from there,shocking him further
Maan- Geet! , he shouted and ran behind her
Geet- keep shouting but I'm not giving it back! she was on the other side of dinning table while he stood opposite to her on other side..
Maan- Geet I'm warning you don't play games! seedhe seedhe keys de do warna...
Geet- instead of warning me you should understand that it's not good.., and she ran from there too, doughing sofas,tables, flower potes, she ran saving herself from Maan, while Maan chased her , in that moment he forget his guilt and pain and just focused on chasing her..
Geet ran in other side of hall when suddenly he foot got entangled or rather say got hit with one of the table's foot , she was just about to fell , seeing her almost falling involuntary her name came out from Maan's mouth , warning her to be careful...
Maan- Geet...but she stabled herself at right moment.. and again ran ,though she left bit pain but she ignored it and ran..as she was more determined not to get caught by Maan..
Maan shook his head at her childish behavior.., Geet ran upstairs to save herself.., climbing steps took lot of her energy..she turned back to look at Maan but he was not there, as Geet stopped to take a sigh of relief...with in a mere second she found herself trapped between Maan and one of the pillar..
Maan- game over!
Geet- no.., snatching the keys from her palm he gave her a victory smirk , and stepped back ,Geet for one last time tried to make him understand..
Geet- Maan please don't it with yourself.. it's wrong..alcohol is not the solution of your problems, I know you miss Di ,but getting drunk and forgetting her for a while is not the solution.. please understand.., she was destined to leave accept the fact, by drinking will just spoil your health nothing more..don't you feel Di too must be feeling sad to see you like this..at least for her..,she pleaded to him , her words made Maan to wander the little Geet is now really mature..she knows the right and wrong but wish he could explain her his real reason for drinking..
Ignoring her words he turned to leave but as he took a step forward something red on floor caught his attention, looking at it carefully he doubted something, he looked further , there were more such red drops, he was clear that it were blood drops, he followed the path which led till Geet's feet, her toe was bleeding while she looked depressed... rather than worrying about her toe, he shook his head on her carelessness ,coming back to her , he grabbed her hand and made her sit on nearby chair..
Maan- dare you move from here, I'm coming just in minute!, ordering her he left, leaving behind a confused Geet to wander what happened to him suddenly??
Within a minute Maan was back with first aid kit..
Geet(st)- first aid kid??
Glaring at her , he bent down and held her feet, shocking her further..
Geet(shocked)- what.., but even before she could complete her sentence he uttered..
Maan- you are always first in lecturing me about health but when it comes to you , the same careless attitude, right?
Geet- but..
Maan(sternly)- chup!, glaring at her he said, which made her shut her mouth..
Maan- what is this??, he showed her , her bleeding toe..
Geet- babaji ye kab hua??, tired of her nonsense Maan ignored her question and focused on dipping the cotton in antiseptic solution, when he was done he brought it near her toe to clean it up but Geet shouted..
Geet- no don't touch..it will pain.., innocently she complained..
Maan- yeah..when you were running like usain bolt tab toh pain nahi ho raha tha!, he taunted..
Geet- mujha pata thodi na tha tab!
Maan- oh ! now you know so it will pain, great logic!, he teased, Geet made a face on his remark, while Maan carefully cleaned the wound..
Geet- ahh...slowly.., she cried, Maan stared her at her antics.., then examined her wound
Maan- your nail is lucky, just got saved by an inch or else by your grace it must have been out of your toe right now!
Geet(blabbered to herself)- it is your mistake only!, hearing her blabber he asked
Maan- what?
Geet- nothing.., she focused on her toe , after cleaning her wound ,he applied cream and bandaged it, while Geet eyes kept moving from her toe to Maan through all this process, when he was done he got up!
Maan- done!
Geet to got up from chair, while he watched her carefully..
Geet- thank u..(after a pause), mm..will you give me support till my room..woh if I will put my feet on ground then bandage will get dirty na..
Maan- hmm..come, he forwarded his shoulder towards her so that she can put her one arm around his shoulder and walk.., Geet felt bit hesitant but still tried to do that, Maan felt her hesitancy.., when she put her arm around his shoulder he stopped her..
Maan- wait!, confused Geet looked at him, while Maan moved ahead and picked her up in his arms, shocking Geet but he ignored her shocking expressions and walked ahead with her in his arms...
Coming to her room, he placed her down on bed..
Maan- sleep and don't wet the bandage in morning , let it heal..
Geet- ji..
Saying so he turned back to leave but Geet words stopped him..
Geet- Maan don't go there please...
Maan- don't worry running behind you has already tired me , now I don't power to go out!, saying so he left while Geet smiled thinking finally he agreed to her!
