maan waiting for his geet whom he did hurt the most by his words, he is waiting for her to get back into his life , will geet return to her maan whom she loved the most but he broke her. will she accept his love for her ?

part 1

A man was standing facing a portrait then an old lady comes there and switch on the light

old lady: maan

m: dadima what are you doing here its too late dadi you have to sleep.

d: that is what i am also saying maan its too late even you have to sleep, anyway i just came here to tell you that your geet is coming back maan your wait is going to end.

m: (with twinkling eyes) are you saying truth dadima really geet is coming back?

d: yes dear

but soon maan's happiness changed to sorrow thinking how he hurt her but dadi put her hands on his shoulder saing as if i know your trauma and said him not to think much and asked him to sleep.

maan went near the portrait and caressed it saying

m: jaan i am waiting for you to return its been 2 years and 6 months almost that i havent seen you i know that i have hurt you the most with my words. see me mein kitna unlucky hoon i have realised your importance and your love for me only when i lost you, plz forgive me . saying this maan went to bed thinking about the past.

past( nearly 3 years back)

a girl in her early twenties was travelling on her bike at ten in a lonely place away from city, actually she is returning back after meeting the little kids in the orphanage while crossing a street she saw a few drunken men there but she isnt afraid seeing them and continued her driving but due to her bad luck her pyari bike ditched her stopping abruptly and seeing a beautiful girl those men approached her and tried to touch her but she escaped them and started running as they are not one or two to handle while running she came across a car and the driver pulled the breaks in time and stopped before he hurt her. he was so angry and about to give her a piece of mind and then he saw the men chasing her and understood the situation and helped her by fighting with him and when one among those men escaped that man and try to touch the girl she kicked there where it hurt the most and the person collapsed on the road crying with pain, the man who saved her was surprised to see her bold avtar and was quite impressed.

man: hi i am maan, maan singh khurana.

girl: hi geet, geet handa.

m: if you dont mind i can drop you where you want to go as you cant get any transport from here.

g: are you trying to take the advantage of the situation mr.

m: its completely your choice ms to come or not. and sat in his car and geet too followed him and sat beside him.

m: by the way can i know what r u doing here at this time.

g: oh actually i came here to visit the children in orphanage and there is a birthday celebration was going on of my little friend kartik and i couldnt say no to him and i didnt realize the time when i realized i started back to my hostel and while going my bike ditched me which i left there (talking to herself looking up babaji plz meri bike ki raksha karna mein kal subha jake leloongi)

maan was quite surprised with her talking that much and it was a limit she is asking god to take care of her bike he thought she was a unique piece

g: and where was i yeah when my bike ditched these men came there and rest all you know.

maan sighed a relief as she stopped her bak-bak. but his relief was shorted lived as she again started saying her belonging to mumbai and came to delhi to complete her studies and everything and nothing and maan was like mein iss ki help kyun ki and at last shouted

m: chup bilkul chup ek shabd bhi nahi till we reached your hostel.

g: meekly ok

maan felt bad for shouting on her and wanted to apologize but think against it as she was a stranger and he maan singh khurana never apologised and will never and moreover if he apologised she will again start her bak bak. later he dropped her at her hostel.

g: thank you so much maan and sorry to trouble you.

m: its ok geet actually i am sorry to shout at you ( inner voice maan y did you apologies to her, he was confused at his behavior)

g: its k. then bye good night maan saying this she moved towards her hostel.

as days moved on geet became busy with her studies and friends and maan with his work and gf ( sam) .

1 month later:

d: maan i want you to meet a girl whom your dadaji wanted you to get married , it was his last wish so plz maan meet her once.

m: dadima plz you know i love sam then y r you doing this dadima and i also know you dont like sam .

d: yes bete i dont like that girl as i dont get good feeling seeing her and also feel that she is behind your money and dont love you. any way end of discussion and you are meeting her today and i dont want any excuses saing this dadi went away giving him the address of the girl he have to meet.

maan tried calling sam but she remained unavailable as she is busy in her shoot as she is a model. he was very frustrated with the happenings and went to get ready as he want to meet the girl and say no to her.

maan was standing in front of the address given by his dadi it is a hostel which looked familiar to him he went inside and told the receptionist to call the girl geet handa seeing the name in the paper with him he remembered her and thought he was going to meet that bak-bak queen and groaned .

there geet came down in a baby pink suit with pony looking cute to meet the prospective groom who came to meet her.

g: maan ? what r u doing here.

m: well its our parents who wanted us to meet.

then the realisation dawned to her that he is the one who came to meet her. she took him to the lawn where they sat on the bench and geet started

g: omg , i cant believe it anyway maan i want a favor from you i want you to say no to this marriage.

m: i will come straight to the point geet even i dont want this marriage as i have a gf whom i love and want to get settled down with her but my dadi was adamant on getting me married to you and i am not in a position to say no to my dadi as her health is not good and cant even marry my gf now as she is busy with her career.

g: hmm i want to complete my masters and want to takeover my father's business maan so even i cant marry now at same time i cant say no to my family who are equally as admant as dadima.

m: dadima??

g: yours, i know her since childhood as your dadi and dadaji used to come to our home as your dadaji and mine are best friends.

m: oh.

g: maan idea.

m: what????

g: we will say our family that we need time to decide about each other and can avoid them for some time till then your gf will be back and i can complete my studies here and then i will be flying to abroad for further studies as i have my scholarship.

m: great idea we also no need to hurt our families.

g: geet is always a problem solver. anyway friends?

m: smiling at her shook hands with her and repeated friends.

there started maan and geet's friendship they told the families that they need some time to decide geet's family was ok with it but dadi was not the one to bug the lie but she kept silent and thought to see what her pota is going to do.

maaneet used to chat with each other and they are quite comfortable now.

one sunday:

g: (on phone) maan why are you sounding so dull.

m: nothing geet .

g: come on maan i am your friend you can tell me.

m: wo dadi ki health teek nai hai unki bp budgayi hai.

g: what? and you are telling me now wait i will come there just msg me your address.

m: no prob geet i can handle.

g:nothing doing i am coming thats it.

m:k then i will pick you in half an hr.

g:no maan you just msg me the address dadi needs you there.

m:hmm k.

geet reached within half an hr and met nukul who lead her to dadi's room.

g: hello dadi app kaisi ho saying this geet hugged her fav dadi whom she loved from her childhood.

d: (dadi was soo happy seeing geet and hugged her) ab yaad ayi dadi ki, and she turned her face

g: sorry dadi maf kardo and geet catch her ears and gave a puppy look which melted her dadi

d: waise app aj yha kaise

g: oh maan said about your health and i couldnt be in hostel and came here.

dadi was surprised hearing geet say that maan told her about her health and was more elated that he shares his sorrows with geet and it showed dadi a ray of hope of maan knowing what is a true love and she has complete faith on geet who can make his life colourful and joyful other than being workaholic.

maan who is standing outside dadi's room was quite surprised seeing the convo of his dadi and geet and an unknown smile appeared on his lips seeing there rootna manana and geet pouting face with those puppy dog looks.

m: geet when did you come.

g: just now maan.

m: hmm k did you had your break fast?

g: oh... mein

m:i know you must have been sleeping till the time you called me right?

g: oh i was sleepy isliye soogayi

m:then come we will have our breakfast as its nearly 10:30 so chalo told maan sternly .

g:dust dhanav cant he say that sweetly.

dadi who heard geet calling maan dust dhanav started laughing seeing her maan giving glares to geet and surprisingly it didnt effect her.

g: dont give me those looks chalo ab late nahi horahi hai kya?

m: hmm lets go.

after breakfast all three of them started talking and it was geet who was talking more and dadi talking in between and maan was a silent spectator . later dadi asked geet to stay till evening and geet agreed to it after lunch dadi retired to her bed to rest on insisting of both maan and geet. geet feeling bored asked maan do he have any video games to play and maan was like who will play video games at this age but didnt say anything and just said hmm and took her to a gaming room.

g: wow maan this place is so cool.

m:hmm

g: wowww maan there are all the video games which i like the most come we will play.

m: no geet i am not interested you play.

g:i know maan you are afraid of loosing .

m:no i am not.

g: then chalo we will see who will beat whom.

they both sat there playing and maan was quite surprised geet playing it too well but he is also maan singh khurana he will also not loose they are playing and enjoying there game without giving a care to the surroundings and time that is when dadi came in search of them to call them to have evening snacks and was quite surprised to see both of them playing video game and was very happy seeing maan smiling and enjoying and captured the pic of a smiling maan and maan and geet together in her phone and then called them to come down.

d:geet app na har Sunday yha ayiyega hamein bhi bahut acha lagega.

m:ha geet we can also enjoy playing video game and next time i will definitely win.

g:that we will see maan, and for now i have to go so bye dadi and bye maan.

d:geet wait maan will drop you.

m:ha geet even in the morning you didnt let me pick you so no more arguments come.

g:acha baba k , bye dadi.

d:bye bete and call this old lady in between. later both maan and geet went.

in car:

g:maan can you take me to the xyz book stores as i need to get a book.

m:oh sure geet.

after purchasing the book they returned to the car when geet saw a gol gappa stall and squealed in happiness and maan was shocked to see geet squealling and asked her the reason.

g:maan gol gappa she said with a twinkling eyes.

m:no geet its not hygienic.

g:plz maan plz plzzz.

m:oh k go and have.

g:no even you have to come and dragged him with her and even made maan forcefully eat those gol gappa's and even had selfies on geet's insistence saying it as a happy time and memories should be cherished. later maan dropped geet in the hostel and returned home with a sweet smile playing on his lips thinking about his day. dadi was so happy seeing her pota being happy. in all this maan didnt think about sam even once and cursed himself and called her but she said she will speak later as she is busy and cut the call maan was sad thinking that sam has no time for him. at the same time he received a good night msg for geet and tthey chatted a little while and went back to their sleeps peacefully.

next day

s: hey maan how r you?

m:fine. what about you? you dont have enough time for me now.

s:oh come on maan you know right that i am working hard for my career anyway just called you to tell that i am in us and will be returning only after a week or two.

m:what but when did you go?

s:yeaterday night as it was an argent assignment which is also a great chance to me.

m:hmm k.

s:k maan bye have to rush.

evening:

g:maan where r you?

m:office mein.

g:r you free right now?

m:hmm bolo.

g:i need your help for completing a project, will you help me .

m: hmm k geet then meet me in the ccd near your hostel.

g:k maan thank you sooo much.

maan helped geet in her project and geet finally completed it.

g:thank you so much maan you simply the best, you are my savior.

m:oh shut up we are friends remember so no need to thank me.

after dropping geet he went home.
