The Myth

The test of a true myth is that each time u return to it , new insights and interpretations arise.

A saying Or belief Or fact Or superstition Or Myth ... these words play an important part in ppl's life ,, many blindly believe or live their lives on some belief nd myths ,, from d time of d bith of a child to till his/her end some belief never left them ,, those ppl trust a priest who himself a human being nd it's also said that human is a bundle of mistakes ,, then how cn a priest be trusted blindly ? Does a priest's words r more important than an innocent child ? If yes then where is humanity , love , care nd family bonding ? Where r relations nd their warmth ? Where is Truth nd Reality ?

Reema: maa we have to talk clearly to Maan ,, he has to cop up with us for time being ... baad mei jo hoga dekenge .

DM: haan , tum theek kahati ho Reema ,, abhi to jo sabko pata hei ussi se sab ko handle kerne ki koshish ker sakty hein ,, engagement mei kisi ek ka hona jaroori hei , warna sab baten banayenge ,, uska to pata nahi per Maan to hei aur baat ko handle kerne mei help ker sakta hei .

Reema : esliye ,, we have to talk to him to support us for d sake of family respect .

DM: hummm,, bas Babaji ye shaadi theek se hone de ,, sab khushiyon ko grahan lag gaya hei ,, atleast Dev ki life to happily set ho .

Reema: chaliye Maan se baat kerte hein ,, then I have to plan for dinner .

DM: hum,, chalo.

Both d ladies wr going to move when Maan entered there with heavy heart ,, both startled for few sec seeing him there , but it was Maan who eased them.

Maan: oh it's good mom u r also here ,, I come to spent some time with DM ,, DM r u free ?

DM: yeah beta , come , I m always free for my kids .( DM gestured him to sit near her on bed )

Reema: we both r coming to talk u Maan ,, r u not tired ?

Maan: no, I m fine mom .

DM nd Reema exchange a look nd then looked at Maan with a faint smile ,, Maan sensed their hesitation , nd d gap between them ,, there was a time when his DM nd Mom rightfully talk to him , shared every thing related to family ,forced him to accept their wish nd today they wr shunning to talk d family matters .

DM: Maan , as we said that we r planning to set Dev's marriage nd there r few things for d whole family to face or to handle some Qs regarding u ,, we hope u won't disappoint us again if we ask u to co -operate us ,, now we don't force u but for d respect of family or as d elder son , u have to attend d engagement nd marriage ,, r u willing to join d family in this imp function ?

Reema: u don't have to do much ,, only ur presence is enough to shut d mouth of ppl,, we want only lil co-operation from u .

Maan hurt : mom , DM plzz , trust me , I won't disappoint u ,, i'll do what u'll say, but why this prob ? what r u hiding ?

DM sighed : Maan u don't know what happened after u months back ,,( Maan gulped hard nd looked down ) u left secretly without talking to us ,, we didn't know what u had said to Geetika ,, but what she disclosed infront of all that was right nd we wr guilty nd ashamed in front of her nd her family ,, though Yash was success to make her agree to stay with us in KM that saved our respect nd reputation in society nd relatives ,, Bcoz of her lil stay in KM we r able to hide d truth that marriage of ur nd Geetika doesn't exist ,, u broke up that marriage nd she too refused to go with this relation where u admitted openly that u r in love with some one nd cn't accept her ,, u rejected her nd she rejected u nd us nd at last left for ever ,, but ppl r still in this impression that everything is fine ,, we said that u went for ur MBA to Canada nd after sometime Geetika too left for US for her study .

Maan looked at DM shocked nd puzzled ,, many facts popped up at once in his mind ,,d matter of his affair with Sam nd his forced marriage was disclosed ,, she rejected this relation , she lived in KM for d sake of his family respect ,, she left for ever ,, she went to US for higher study ...US ? Maan very hardly opened his mouth nd asked .

Maan: what do u mean she left for ever ? r u not in her or her family contact ?

Reema: no,, she broke all her ties with her family too same day u left her ,, Yash nd Daimaa requested her a lot then she agreed to live here ,,she was here with her Daijaan nd stayed in OH , she came in KM only when some guests arrived ,, otherwise she very hardly talked to us .

Maan shocked : she broke her ties with her family , but why ?

Reema: there was a lot ,, her family too was at fault ,, that poor girl suffered a lot bocz of both d families ,,we tried to keep her with us giving all d rights like a Khurana family member but she refused .

DM: now we have doubt that she was not a Manglik too ,, her Janam kundli was wrong .

Maan again shocked : what ,, wrong ,, matlab ?

DM: huumm ,,, there was a big MU related to her DOB ,, her parents never checked that nd Pt made d Kundli with wrong DOB ,, Geetika nd Daimaa too wr unaware nd got d truth when in anger she asked her janam kundli to tore that .

Maan: what ?

Reema: yes ,, her parents too wr in shock after getting d truth when Geet nd daimaa reveled this biggest mistake ,, what we all thought nd what had happened?

Maan puzzled : but why she broke her relation with her family , they had to support her ?

DM: they r very orthodox , sply darji , her dadaji ,, after ur rejection we wr ready to keep her with us with all respect but she refused then her darji , bua nd parents forced her to go with us,, darji said that she was married nd her place is in her husband's house ,, they won't allow her in their home if she'll broke her marriage ,, that cd ruin their repect in pind ,, in anger d matter went far nd she refused to go in that house too breaking all d relation with them ,, then Yash nd her Daimaa requested her to stay in KM for d sake of her security nd our respect ,, she was here for 1 nd half month nd then went for higher study to US ,, for few days she nd Daimaa wr in our touch but then they cut off ,, we don't know anything about them.

Maan was hell shocked listening all that ,, his family was saying that she went to US but she is in Canada ,, they didn't have any contact with her then how she got that he is in Canada nd in that college ? What is this mystery ? One thing is cleared that she lied to his family that she was going to US .

Again so many Qs aroused in Maan's mind ... Why she lied to his parents nd why she choose d same college for MBA ? Why she didn't react seeing him with Sam ? What was her intentions behind this lie ? She hates him nd she was preg ... OMG !! means his parents didn't know about her preg bcoz they wr not in her contact ,, he was also wrong nd thought that his family helped her to sent her there ,, she informed his dad about Sam .. Gosh !!! he was so wrong ,, Maan's head was spinning with all those truths which wr opening one after another ,, Like him there wr many things which his family didn't know about Geet ... Geetika .

Reema: Maan , we want that u keep this truth wrapped that Geet is with us ,, she is studing in US nd won't able to join d function bcoz of her bad health or Exams ,, we have to lie , nd u have to support us in this .. plzz ,, we r already at lose nd don't want to face d loss of Khandaan's respect ,, ppls will raise so many Qs nd fingers at you nd Geetika , which cn tarnish our image in society nd friend circle .

Maan: aammm,, I understand Mom ,, I won't do anything wrong ,, i'll handle it as u want .

DM: thank u Maan ... ek bar ye shaadi ho jaye fir aage ka sochenge kaise handle kare ?

Maan wanted to disclose d truth about Geet that she is not in US but she is Canada , in same college , in front of him ,,He became restless knowing about d mishappening , though he was d main reason of this damage but he didn't want to keep his parents in dark any more,, he wanted to share d truth about their Geetika's where about nd about her preg ,, they have right to know about her well being as they still mentioned her as their DIL .

Maan feared nd gulped hard,, his heart burdened ,, he didn't know what wd come to face after disclosing this truth ? He cursed himself that his one wrong step brought so many troubles for all , scattered every relation ,, 1^st he lied nd hide d reality of his intentions of running away from here , nd then Geet ,, Don't know what she wants? The truth of Geet's preg was not easy to digest , it put him more in pit of guilt nd his family cursed him , he didn't know how his dad wd react .. God!! Plzz save me .

Maan garnered himself nd took a long breath , decided to disclose d truth ,, he looked at his DM nd Mom with painful eyes nd exploded d bomb of Geetika's truth .

Maan meakly: DM ,, Mom ,, Geet ,, I mean Geetika is not in US ,, she hide d truth from u .
