I think I am doomed.
- Finished reading the tale and enjoyed it so much.
First, the whole concept of a story within a story was such an unparalleled idea, at least in the forum that it immediately grabbed my interest. Secondly, it was special because it was so relatable. Meera, an achieving and diligent student until of course Geet happened to her, then how she becomes a procrastinator, felt like it was my story you were telling. You know how the forum shadowed her everywhere. And that note about not writing stories anymore now at least I am in cognizance of one reason why people put on notes and then disappear. Assignments! The way Meera keeps delaying finishing her project only to finish it a night before was so spot on. I've done that so many times. I'm still going to do that, I think. Then, there's a part about living the heroine and imagining the girlfriend as a thin, bony girls. So true again.
Now, about the story. A nerd, an arrogant but charming playboy, and a bet, best ingredients for a very palatable story I can totally understand why Meera couldn't stay away.
The thought process of Geet was so accurately done. When she's thinking about the difference between a nerd and a geek, it's so true. Then her first impressions about Maan, that was also well written. Then, how on knowing him from close, her perception changes. She warms up to him. Maan at first seemed a caricature
character, you know going by the rules, smart, good with girls, not one of my most favourite kind of heroes, but gradually I started liking him when I saw him treat Geet riend and more instead of a bet, then how there was faulty judgment on his part when he gets back with Sam, then realizes his error of judgment. The struggles of coming to terms with the fact that G meant more to him was greatly done. Then the unforgettable prom night and their union.
Really enjoyed the ride. Thank you.
A little revelation. All the time I was imagining Noah Centineo as Maan. 😆
