i second sdlife di and vrinda di..

Consider that u are a writer and give regular update...still there is no enough likes are comments means what wud u... when u leave all ur other works to just make a smile creep on their face with ur update...

I have knwn many have left important functions r works in Geet forum just to b active in here so that their regular readers dnt feel upset... what 1 gives back is silence..

If u want u'll like and comment when the writer threatens of shifting their works to protected blogs and after few days again.. its like bethal going to it original place...hanging upside down in a tree.. till then it is on Vikram's neck...this is wat writers feel...

writers so have a family to look after .. their classes and other works.. when readers can give excuse of all this in not commenting.. y sud not a writer give.. is it a big fault..

Thank u dear but these wont be understood by such readers... and i would really suggest who thinks writers asking for likes then they shd not read their updates and specially the ones who have commented here saying so many things abt writers

even if we let go of likes and comments if u want

We writers are too human beings.. We too have a normal life... Other than writing we have a personal affairs and many other things to deal in our day to day life..!!

And as far as the story is concern... When someone begans writing a story..no one knws..what future has store in for them.. I mean... how will we knw..that our life will get messy or busy... or so many porblems will arise...

We arent prepared for such problems..no one is!

And that time...usually writers back out..or i should say take a break...

I knw.. story plot is most harmed in the process... But seriously.. If one has to face so many problems... then dont u think its better to focus on ur life and...let aside the writing part??

And writers do come back and complete their story.. there is no such rule..that u have to follow the writer... if u feel writer is taking too much time... move on..

Being a writer is hard...guys!

m not saying being a reader is easy.. Thats equally difficult..

I have been a reader and a writer so i knw..

But instead of talking in terms of readers and writers..y cant we simply understand each other's pov...

wouldnt we find a much simpler soultion????

Gf has fair amount of good readers...

who understand..their writers... and vice versa so i guess thats y ours peaceful forum..!!

@Idunno N @writers too.. Well I don't know whether U guys will like this or not my sayings but Writer n readers both are important.. writers are not wrong asking for Ur reviews if u are reading their story.. off course U should .. if U can read their update.. U can take 2 min to share ur views.. n haan abt asking for like nos.. well writers log may be this could happen that there are very less readers reading ur story.. so also U are getting less likes.. or may be u guys also right that many are reading n not giving reviews.. but yeah.. for that no limit won't give u good alternative.. in this matter I can say Avi's funda is good U can share with those who read n comment .. So idunno writers are not wrong actually.. jo padhte hain woh apne views share kare. unki story pe.. koi bhi chahega .. unka work jo dekhta hain read karta hain woh apne views de.. nahi toh how will they also get motivation.. ? n will get to know whatever they are doing is good or bad.. ? n how will they also improve..? n YUp for those writers who write after long time.. I can say.. just like readers wait for U n ur update .. just give them time to come n reread ur story.. sometimes who write 5-6 stories.. after long time span.. readers also forget story concept so they also need time to catch up the storyline.. like readers have wait for ur updates for this long time patiently sometime writers also give ur reader some time.. I think understanding should be from both side.. one way can't be right.. well that's my POV.. I am not saying anyone is wrong here or right.. everyone as their own POV.. N I am so sorry if my POV offends anyone..

Idunno ... u have stated something with outmost straight forwardness

.. I m basically just a reader .

but I can understand the feelings of a writer who like all of us has his/her own life n commitments ... but still takes time to write for us ... n entertain us

so them expecting back "Likes" n "comments" is quite natural

because they DO need some response back ... its nt fair if we enjoy the story ...but dont respond back .

. they need somthing to motivate em to do more .just imagine us doing somthing ... with no response back ... gradually our interest in that fades away

but when it comes to some ... writers even with all the amazing repsonses and comments they get ... they yet dont update frequently ( not updating frequently is not the problem here ) but they start new stories which again is left in mid ... I would ask writers like these to at least post a summary for the stories which u dont end ... because the loyal readers out there are waiting for you to update one day ... in this case "some " writers truly does ignore the feelings of a reader like Idunno said

when it comes to writers like this .. I second the thot of Idunno ... these days I stopped reading works which are incomplete for long no matter how amazing it is .

but abt the Amazing writers in GF we will always support you ... its coz of u that the memories of Maneet are still alive in our hearts 😊

but ... as a reader .. I request you to leave a note or give a summary ( if u can ) if u have any personal problems .. so that the reader doesnt wait for months and months

and pls dont start a bunch of new stories n leave all of em incomplete ... as a reader I prefer a complete story to 100 incomplete ones

this is m personal opinion ... I am sorry if I have hurted somone s feelings

Indeed.. regular updaters should get their likes n comments I agree with Shobha di too.. becoz they too spare their time.. for writing story.. n If readers have some issue abt time atleast inform that writer that .. abt ur issue..

N yes Regular updaters has full right to ask abt likes.. becoz they too spend their time for writing out of their schedule.. n offcourse they re not wrong in asking likes for their story.. becoz I noticed this when they say they are quitting suddenly then likes increases.. so that's also unfair.. I liked Suhi's funda here.. she posts blog link here n then send possword to those only who read her story n give views.. becoz on IF problem is.. their are silent readers who read their story n don't even bother to give comment.. n this can't be controlled here.. So updates on blog n comments here on IF.. best way to do that... So that both Regular readers n writers won't suffer... Well I am here talking abt golden mean.. becoz in both way it will be good.. n noone good will suffer.. writer n reader both..

i m nt here to offend anyone but just giving my pov...

i dont totlly agree wd post neither disagree with it...i guess this is like other side of coin...

frstly as wrtr point ...they are right to ask like n comments on dre hardwork...its nt easy job to write n than post n as writer most difficult job is think about plot...how to give twist n turn or give different maaneet scene...lots of imagination n time...so if they ask like n comments or some kind of appreciation than they are totlly correct n above all its their story so they can do wat they want to do...

but what prblm as reader i face is amount of likes...what the parameter...but here if they goes by no. of views than that can b misleading as i myself visit one thread many times...i read stry frm phone when free and comment through lappy...n while reading story from phone so many times some work cum n have to close window n than re open it...n above that i check thread to see how many likes are left...so i myself contributing to no. of views many times ...but agree with pm funda of writer....if they are sending that many pm thn they deserve that many likes n comments...completely agree on that n thn they should wait till they get complete quota or remove person fr pm list or worst go on blog...

as reader i think writer should be regular nt by giving updates when they r busy in personal life or dnt hv time but by restraining themself by opening so many stories which they dnt update regularly...starting sum new stories n reaction are so heart welcoming for writer tht they sumtime ignore old stories...not tht every writer do that but some do tht ...

if they can handle 4- 5 story at a time no issue v reader are glad about it...but thn just updating 2 stories n neglecting other 3 is nt logical to me as may b i m reading tht 3 story only so as reader i m disappointed tht u r coming online...u r updating ur new story but u forget old one...

sweta is my closest friend on gf but she know i m always nt in favor whenever she start new story...i always ask her to bank the episode of new concept till she is finish on gng story...like scared love is updated so long back...i frankly froget where she stopped what was the point...because her attention gt shifted to other stories n unknowingly she gt biased towards new story...n story lost there charm...same goes with pooja's pathshala...one of my fav story ...i used to bug pooja so much n alwys was on her thread asking fr update...bt sumwhere that zeal is lost...i still like dre story...bt nt used to wait like i used too n enjy it...

i named my two very gud frnds just as an example...with hope that they will understand me rather than misunderstanding my point as they know they are special fr me n same goes for their stories...
