Aditi, even I have seen many fathers completely ignoring his children and stop being a father to them. It happens mostly when he marries for the second time.
Coming to the update. It was emotional one yet again. But this time I did felt for Rano unlike Mohinder. In fact a lot than I had thought.
Geet remembered Maan seeing oily parathas whilst Tej guessed it to be Armaan. Maan's memories are replacing her and Armaan's memories for Geet. Like that lakeside view in Chennai which happened to be Geet-Armaan's place, but she remembered hers and Maan's first meeting when she went there post Maan's secret was out.
And Im happy to see her acknowledging Maan's importance in her life. Maan has been her strength throughout and today the words were out of her mouth. So now even Rano knows Geet has chosen a man for herself. I liked how Tej couldnt hold himself back from questioning her this time when she was the one talking about Maan for the first time.
So Tej had gotten the love of his mother as well step father. Compared to Geet, he indeed had a lot better childhood. Though I understand accepting a new man as your father is difficult for any child.
As I thought, Rano's side of story was heart wrenching. I felt for the woman so much. She said the same thing what Mohinder said about his and Rano's married life. But if there was Neeta's entry in his life then there was Shekhar in hers. And he was the person she had desired or maybe dreamt of. No wonder she accepted the divorce without any fuss. Just wondering did Mohinder ever came to know that she too had started falling for Shekhar?
I can only say both Mohinder and Rano made wrong decisions when it came to Geet. She dint needed time to cope. Heck she was just 6 year old. What would she do of time? She wasnt exactly a mature girl who with time sort out her mind and make peace with the situations. The girl needed only love, care, affection, security and assurance. Her active mind of age 6 probably started having thoughts that none of her parents loved her for Mohinder thought to send her to hostel cos of her temper tantrums and Rano couldnt muster enough courage to meet her when she visited her in hostel with Tej cos she thought she failed to be a mother to Geet. That was the biggest mistake both Rano n Mohinder did. Mohinder in his selfishness and Rano is her fear.
I totally understand how it must have been for Rano to see Shekhar fighting cancer. This FF had started with Geet's depression after she lost Armaan. How she lost will to live and felt empty. So Rano must have been in the similar situation. So I get it why and how she stopped being a mother to Tej and Geet and devoted all her time to Shekhar. It wasnt a choice made by her that she would ignore her children. It was something that just happened with time. This whole thing also made me realize the difference btw Rano and Mohinder's love for their children. Mohinder in his selfishness of having a peaceful life ignored his children cos he was probably living a happy life with Neeta and his son Neeraj and thought Geet dint needed him cos she was happy in her own world. Whereas Rano ignored her children cos of the grief and sorrow she was living in of losing her beloved husband. She ignored them cos she herself was fighting with her life. So I do understand her reasons better unlike Mohinder. Im sure she wouldnt have ignored them had she been living happily with Shekhar like Mohinder did. But yes I do find faults in her decisions. She was wrong but forgivable unlike Mohinder.
No one better than Geet can understand Rano. Had she hadnt lost Armaan she would have been angry at her mother but she exactly knows the grief and hurt of losing a loved one. So forgiving Rano was a lot easy for her cos she empathized with her mother as she has experienced the pain. Rano dint call Tej cos she dint wanted to be selfish even if she needed him. See this is the reason why forgiving Rano is easy.
Glad that Geet decided to stay with her mother and got the peace of mind she was looking for. Strangely she hardly missed Armaan in this. She decided to meet Maan before leaving for her studies? Now what does that mean? MG arent going to be together after this? Geet got the closure she needed and searched for. So I hope she doesnt punish Maan more by going away from him.
Anyways, finally Maan makes an entry. Gosh I so wanted to know his thoughts and how is he doing?
So even in Maan's case Geet is becoming more important than Armaan that he feels these 6 months the hardest than those 3 years after he lost Amy. Gosh, the guy is suffering and only suffering. My heart goes for him.
Surprisingly Maan was in Shillong too. That definitely made me grin. At least the guy felt at peace there.
Awww finally he sees Geet. The way you expressed his every emotions at seeing Geet in front of his eyes and having her near him inspite of he being bound by her promises was beautiful and serene. I could so feel his love and every emotions. The guy loves her madly. So much that just seeing her soothed his heart and healed his wounds.
Geet sensed his presence, now that is something. Specially when she dint even know he was there. That must be the best feeling for Maan that his Mishty could feel him around her.
The song you chose for this situation was so apt. So beautifully it went by the scene and suited Maan. I super loved that moment. Geet searching him madly and he just watching her keeping his promise of not showing his face to her until she want. Just why this guy has to love her so insanely?
He goes to Rano and gives a packet along with a letter and continues his game of hiding until Rano gives the packet to her.
Geet side of story...
Im really happy to see mother-daughter bonding so well. That at least she got her mother back if not her father who anyways dont deserve them. Even Rano must be happy having spend these 2 weeks with her daughter. After all that lady was living all alone for so many years. She needed her loved ones too even if she dint express thinking that would sound selfish.
Geet missed Maan more since she has now made peace with her past and was strong enough to let go of everything and meet Maan. Again Im pleased to see the desperation of her at meeting him.
His letter, again, just why he had to give explanations? He feels he dont have the right to call her dear and immediately explain his presence there. His starting words were really pinching me.
Awww so the brown packet was Armaan's diary. I guess, now I know how he survived without her for these past 6 months. He had her diary which probably might have brought her and Amy closer to him a lot more. He returned her gestured by giving Amy's diary to her and hopefully in that she will get her answers as to why Armaan hide his identity from her. She needed to know Armaan version of story as well before confronting Maan and listening to his side of the story.
I really cant wait to see what in there in Amy's diary. I hope he has also written something on his and Maan's relationship in there.
Update was emotional. Loved the emotions it evoke in me while reading it. Simply amazing Aditi.
