There was silence for few sec ,, both wr staring at each other with lots of emotions in their eyes ,, both wr holding back their pain nd wanted to pour out ,, now few things wr clear between them nd they started trusting each other .
Trust nd communication r d base of relations .
Maan kept d mug back on table nd settled near Geet ,, held her hand in his bandaged hands ,, Geet was looking quietly at him waiting for what he was going to ask ?
Maan : Geet , my past , present nd future is connected to u ,, right or wrong all my steps bring me to u ,, me nd my parents didn't know few things regarding me , but u r d one who knew everything about me ,, I was wrong , I accepted , but I didn't know how I stoop that much low nd ruined ur all happiness ,, i was very controlled person nd nd never thought to take advantages ,, that was d 1st time I lost my control over me ,, I m surprize how I lost my sense in few shots ,, I took many time before that incident nd still I took many times but I remain control ,, I don't know how...
Geet: u wr drugged that time ,,, they drugged u mr Khurana .
Geet cut his words nd cleared his doubt ,, Maan was staring at her shocked mumbling ... drugged !!
Geet: yeah ,, they wr planned ,, well planned ,, they wanted to trap u for money ,, one of ur friend gathered all info regarding u nd planned to trap u with that girl ,, u wr a money wending machine for them .
Maan stunned : how u got to know about them ?
Geet sighed : there is no use of it ,, u didn't try to know d reality nd trusted them blindly nd I m sure they gave u a big blow ,, I saw her with an another Richie rich .
Maan lowered his head ashamed : they did ,, they stabbed me , not even me but my whole family including u suffered a lot ,, dad got a mild stroke bcoz of my mistakes ,, I ashamed them , hurt them .
Geet felt a lil relief knowing that he didn't think to ruin her deliberately but d damage had done nd he was d reason ,, she sighed .
Geet: cn I ask u one thing ?
Maan; u cn ask anything Geet , there is nothing to hide from u .
Geet: what they did , how they cheated u ?
Maan fumbled remembering those pics : aammm,, I cn't say that ,, that was very awful nd Dad knew that .
Geet: aamm ,, did they blackmailed u framing u in some ...
Maan: hummm ,, but I didn't know how nd when they use me ,, I want to dig out d roots but dad became serious nd took promise from me not to think about that matter ,, I don't know how he handle that ?
Geet: matlab,,? They blackmailed uncle using u .
Maan: no ,Dad dealed with them , not me nd don't know how , but she asked 2 cr for settlement .
Geet gasped : 2 cr ,,, I m shocked , u r very intelligent nd didn't get any doubt nd clue that they wr playing with u , trapping u ?
This revelation stung Geet nd her mind co-related that with her too ,, a Q poped in her mind ...what wd his family thought for her if they come across with d truth of her past ,, Maan didn't remember anything regarding that night too ,, a girl whom he loved nd trusted , dream for settle down had cheated them , blackmailed them ,, what if they think like that for her too ,, they cd suspect her too for gaining benefit from them ... NO ,, I won't accept d truth in front of them ,, it cd tarnish my respect nd this healthy relation with U&A ,, she boosted her decision inwardly to keep quiet .
Maan: I didn't know when she got those pics with me nd her nd who helped her ?
Geet: pics ?
Maan: humm,, my pics in a very compromise condition , but I didn't remember when I behaved like that ? In my sense I never try to cross my limits .
Geet: that is why she drugged u which have effect for few hrs nd then normal ,, they cdn't do that if u wr in sense so drugged u but showed that u wr highly drunk nd lost ur control ,, one of ur close friend nd her BF helped her ,, they planned .
Maan shocked : her BF ?? who ?
Geet : I don't remember his name but he was ur friend nd they both loved each other.
Maan: Dev !!!! was his name Dev?( he had that doubt)
Geet: yeah, yeah , Dev he was her BF , nd they planned to drugged u that nyt.
Maan hesitantly nd sadly : they drugged me nd that is why I didn't remember how I mistreated u ,, I m sorry Geet , I m sorry .
Geet: what is d use of it talking about that ,, my presence in KM was wrong ,, my interference in ur matters was wrong ,, meri bhi galti thi ki mai aapke alert kerne gai ,, chup rahati to accha hota ,, mere kahane se bhi kuch badla to nahi ,, mujh per to kisi ko trust tha hi nahi ,, sabne muhe hei galat kaha , kisi ne ek baar nahi pucha ki maine ku blame kiya ?
Maan: hum galat thy Geet tum nahi ,, tum kabhi bhi galat nahi thi ,, tumhe kya maine to mom-dad ko bhi dukh hi diya hei ,, shuru se aakhir tak sab galti meri hei , lekin mai ab sab kuch theek kerna chahata hun ,, sabko khush dekhna chahata hun ,, tumhe sab khushiyan dena chahta hu jo meri wajah se tumhe nahi mili ,, mujhe ek mauka de do Geet .
Geet looks at him puzzled ,, he again started d same thing ,, she didn't know what he want from her ? Accepting d truth in front off all was not d solution ,, d result wr fearing her ,, what wd come to face for her nd in what way?
Geet: I already accepted many things mr khurana ,, living here in KM ,, trying to keep away d bitterness of our past ,, accepted ur friendship ,, trying to trust u nd talking to u ,, things r tough for me too ,, if ur past hurt u then mine hurt me ,, I think d rapport which we all have is satisfactory for all ,, I m not blaming u nd complaining u for anything ,, lastly I don't want any sympathy for me nd Manu from u nd ur family ,, I m happy where I m .
Maan: G e e t ,, plzz trust me this is not sympathy ,, this is my ,,, this is my ..
Geet: guilt , regret ..?
Maan looked at her painfully ,, he wanted to say that this was his love for her but stopped thinking that she wdn't trust his words ,, it was true that she was trying to reduce d distances between them but trusting on his words that he was falling for her was totally imposible ,, she was accepting his love for Manu but for her ... it's a long way go go .
Maan: I know u r adjusting Geet , nd I m thankful for that but ur distance hurt us all ,, it's hurt me when u call me mr Khurana ,, it shows that u didn't accept me as ur friend ,, I m not able to win ur trust ,, I m failed.
Geet: essa nahi hei ,, u did a lot for me as a true friend ,, I trust u ,, believe me , but don't force me to accept those things which my conscience doesn't allow ,, I don't want to see anyone in pain so requesting u plzz ... don't do this again , like u did few hrs back ,, plzz don't hurt urself like this ,, it's put me in guilt ,, I don't want to become d reason of anyone's pain ,, u all doing a lot for me nd Manu nd that was enough for us ,, we r happy what we r getting ,, plzz don't do this again .
Maan's throat chocked nd he asked in a hoarsely tone : ess dard ko mai kisse kahu aur kaise sahu Geet , tum hi bata do ,, mai ku na sochu tumhare aur manu ke bare mei ? How cn we ignore that who is Manu's dad ? U cn't understand my pain Geet .
Geet: nd u , cn u understand mine ?
Maan: I want to ,, I want to Geet ,, I want to share ur pain ,, I want to give u nd manu all d happiness ,, I just want a chance Geet .
Geet: we r happy nd u r doing a lot for us mr khurana.
Maan: mr khurana ,, haannn ,, mr khurana ... is this ur trust ? is this ur acceptance Geet ? No.. u didn't accept our friendship by heart Geet ,, I m not able go gain ur trust ,, if u r happy nd trusting me then why this Mr khurana ? Why not Maan ?
Geet fumbled nd staring at him ,, she remembered when she called him by his 1st name ? how she called him Maan openly , she never took his name
Maan: it's hurt me ,, Geet when u took my surname like a strenger,, call me Maan , like u called me when ur heart really trust me without any if nd but .
He pressed her hands which wr in his hands looking at her with painful eyes ,, Geet didn't have guts to bear those pain ,, his pain affected her,, his pain which showed that he was regretting from d bottom of his heart ,, his pain forced her to think for him , to think why his happiness nd pain matter to her ?
Never underestimate d pain of a person . In all honesty everyone is struggling . Just some ppl r better at hiding it than others.
