Maan stood there puzzled and pained and confused thinking of that day, "What happened That day," Geet's sudden soft voice pulled Maan from his thought and he looked at her, "I don't know Geet, that day I was busy with my meetings and presentations and that night I had an party to attend and Naina too said ok to come with me, at night i came home around 7.30 to freshen up and take Naina to the party, Dadi maa told me Naina was in her room and asked me to call her up,"
"when I went to her room, She looked confused and puzzled, when I was above to held her shoulder she freaked out with my touch, as if this was the first time, we used to hold hands and dance together in parties but her sudden freak out was strange, but I thought maybe she was into some other thoughts, I asked her whether she was ok, and she said an yes, and she went and got ready and came with me to the party without any word, Everything went well and Naina was very much disturbed even in the party and so I decided to ask her to go home, and so I told her to go home and I will catch up with her later and she too accepted and went away,"
"After she went I had a drink and it was just an small peg and suddenly I felt I was losing my sense and was feeling dizzy, I don't know what to do, so I asked for an room to rest up and got an room key and went and rested up, I had no idea when I had blanketed out, but when I opened my eyes it was morning and my head was paining up, and after that I came home, but when I came to the Mansion, I found Dadi maa upset, and she started to scold me for no reason,"
"She said I had made Naina upset and she was crying all night, I was confused and went to Naina to ask about it but she refused to speak with me, and on that day I had an important meeting and so I went away as it was getting late, that day was the worst day of my life, all my meetings went bad, due to my head spin, I turned frustrated and angry, and with that I came home and started to shout at everyone, Dadi maa, Naina and everyone,"
"That was my big project and I can't let it go out of my hand, I was into it right then and didn't speak with Naina or Dadi maa after that, I was only thinking of the project, I got irritated even to hear another voice into my head, one week after that was a mess, I know I was over reacting but can't control myself over things, I yelled, shouted, argued, I was hovering up on everyone, and after that I got my deal finalized and everything turned normal, only in business I guess, after that week Naina stopped talking with me,"
"And one night as usual when I was walking towards the terrace, I saw Naina there talking on the phone with her dad, pleading him again to take her home and she didn't want to marry me, I was shocked, I was confused, I didn't know what was happening, but she didn't tell this to Dadi maa, the next day I tried to ask her for an reason, but she just refused and went away, I wasn't hurt, but I was worried about Dadi maa, what she will do or think as she was so attached to Naina,"
"One day when I came from office, Dadi maa called me and said Naina's dad called and said about now Naina was pleading him and asked Dadi maa to do something about it, Dadi maa said Naina was so freaked out with my anger and harsh behavior these days, that's why she had told like that and Dadi maa wanted me to make it up for it, and I told an ok, so Dadi maa planned for a outing for us, Me, Naina and Dadi maa went to Goa for three days,"
"There Dadi maa and Naina took one room and me another, I tried my best to make Naina feel better, I bought her flowers and sweets. Ofcourse it was Dadi maa's plan and Naina was getting more away from me, and on the third day morning Naina was gone. Me and Dadi maa got scared, but Naina's dad called and said Naina came to their house and is safe, Dadi maa blamed me for that too and I got frustrated, I can't turn into an prince charming, and change my attitude suddenly but I did try my best, me and Dadi maa then came back to Delhi,"
"And the next day," Maan stopped and looked at Geet who was staring at him with her big wide eyes, fully gotten into his past and travelling with him, Maan took an deep breath and turned around, and looked at the wall, "Next day, Naina's father called and informed us that Naina attempted for suicide but fortunately she was saved at the right time, and she was in the hospital, Me and Dadi maa went to the hospital, and saw her in the ICU, I felt worse looking at her, she was not special to me, but still it pained, I was mentally prepared to lead my life with her, and started being comfortable with her and suddenly this was heart breaking"
"Till I didn't show it out, and on that night, in that hospital, I again heard Naina begging her dad that she can't marry me and was warning him that she will die if she was married to me," Maan stopped for a second as her exact words hit his ears. "No Papa, please, I can't marry him, he is an monster, he will kill me with it and he is not an good guy Papa, please, please, I will do anything but will not marry him please, he is not an human at all" her voice made him shattered again, her tear pouring eyes was still fresh inside his eyes,
"Maan" Geet's voice pulled him back from the past thoughts, and he turned around her, and grin up a bit, "hmm, and after that, I went and told Dadi maa to stop the engagement she is planning, but she said, it's nothing, Naina is just scared and so will convince her, both Dadi maa and Naina's dad wanted us to get married, Naina's dad was money minded, I found out this when he sue me in the court for Naina's death, and got me out after getting an lump sum form Dadi maa," Maan said with an disgusting grin,
"Naina died" Geet asked slowly analyzing his statement, Maan's expression changed up, and he turned away, as he didn't want Geet to see his pain, he closed his eyes, and calmed down

"Dadi maa, please, now too it's time, stop these things, if she doesn't want to marry me, why to force her, please, she was even ready to die" Maan said as he looked at Dadi maa, he didn't wanted this engagement to happen, after seeing how badly Naina doesn't want to marry him, "Maan please, relax, now she is ok, she was scared seeing your anger and rudeness but me and her dad made her understand and so, she is ok now" Dadi maa said, "Dadi ma, I don't understand this, why you and Naina's dad is so, so stubborn about this" Maan said,
"Maan, because it's too late to stop it, you both had gone public, every media and newspapers had news about you guys as on-to-be wedded couple, if something goes wrong, it will create a mess and both of your life's will be troubled," Dadi maa said, "Ridiculous Dadi maa, for those media and public, we can't spoil our life's, can we" Maan said irritated, "Maan it will also affect your business and character, and forgot about everything, now everything is fine, just get ready for the evening and Naina too had gone to parlor," Dadi maa said and went away, but Maan was still not satisfied, yet believed everything will be fine,
In evening Khurana Mansion was decorated like an new bride, crackers were filling colors in the sky, media's, business peoples, relatives, everyone were there, Khurana Mansion was in an celebration mode, Maan came down and everyone started to wish him, and as the time went up Dadi maa went to look for Naina, "Maan" Dadi maa's high scream came up and Maan and others ran up towards Naina's room, to find her dead on the bed, her face turned blue along with her body and blood flowing from her mouth, Maan looked down to see the poison bottle on the floor,
"Call the ambulance" Maan shouted but Maan's family doctor was there in the party and he came up and checked Naina up, while Maan and Dadi maa look at him with fear, "I am sorry Mr.Khurana, she is long dead" he said, pulling Maan into shock of his life, "Naina, Naina" Naina's dad cried up, Maan stood up and went and stood there out away from all, "Happy aren't you Maan" suddenly Naintara's voice came up, and Maan was in no mood to argue, and she used it for her good,
"I told you, no one, in this world would tolerate your monstrous behavior and angry attitude then me, but no, you didn't listen, Naina was an baby, I even warned her and her dad, but no, they never listened to me, even though Naina was my cousin sister, she was like my own blood, when at last she found she can't handle you for her life time, she begged everyone to leave her alone, but you, you, forced her and finally killed her," she said, "but Maan, I know it was not all your fault, she didn't have the guts to face you and handle your attitude, for that what will you do," Naintara said in her sweet tone,
"Just leave me alone" Maan said and went away, he went into his room and locked himself inside his room, he didn't want to come out and see anything that is happening out, he went inside his bathroom and ripped of his brand new sherwani and throw it away and stood under the shower, "Papa, please, I can't marry this monster, his anger will kill me, I am scared, please, please" Naina's voice came to his ears again and again, "Ahhh" Maan roared at his highest in the pain smashing his heart, when he closed his eyes her sweet smiled and friendly gestures came to his mind, hurting him more,
"Maan, once we got married, I will go to Harvard, what if someone proposed me there" Naina's voice came up, "don't worry, everyone there, knew about Maan Singh Khurana, and I don't think anybody would have the guts to propose to my wife" Maan said, "hmmm, too much build up ah, let me see the reality there," Naina teased, "Naina" Maan scorned and she smiled and Gave an quick hug, "Good night Maan" she said and ran away, Maan opened his eyes and felt an sheer pain, "Maan, I no need to talk with you, just leave me alone, I can't hear any more lies" her anger and pain full words reached his ears,

Maan was standing there burning in the pain once again, his eyes closed, Geet slowly stood up and went towards Maan and touched his shoulders and Maan opened his eyes, and Geet saw the liquid dancing inside his eyes, and it killed Geet inside out, Maan got hold of himself and grin up a bit in pain, and pulled from Geet, "Hmmm, after that, Naina's dad sued me that I was responsible for Naina's dead, and Media, public, my business clients, everyone thought so, everyone said, my arrogance attitude killed that girl,"
"I am not fit for an girl's love, I am heartless and brutal, and everything, even I too thought that, I am heartless and not fit for any girls love, so I myself increased my anger and rude attitude, especially with girls, to keep them away from me, so that no one would think of marrying me and ended up like Naina," Maan said and turned to Geet, and held her hands and kissed it, "until, you came into my life, your love, changed me and re kindled my soft side again, made my heart beat again and convince myself, that I can get love and an happy life,"
"Geet, this is why I was keeping you away from me, now and then, this is why I hate the word marriage, this the reason Geet," Maan said and held Geet's face in his hands, "now tell me Geet, do you too think, I am responsible for her dead, do you too think I should live all my life in guilt and love less as an punishment for what I did to her, I know I am the reason, but still I never wanted to be the reason, I don't know," Maan stopped and looked into her creamy eyes, "Geet, what do you think now Geet, what do you think, or feel about me now" Maan asked,
Geet's tears flowed up and before she could answer, she saw Dadi maa walking up towards the study room, through the window, Maan had locked the door but forgot the window, Geet looked at Maan who was waiting for her answer, and then she saw Dadi maa coming close, Geet didn't want Dadi maa too see them like this, so she pulled Maan's hands away and run away, and opened the door and sneaked out through the other way,
Maan was shocked and shatter by Geet's behavior, "she just ran away, without telling anything, does she think like all others, that I am responsible for Naina's death, I am to be punished" Maan's thought pained up, "will she leave me and go away" Maan thought and stood there frozen up,

Maan had gone to the office after that but in office too Maan couldn't concentrate on anything, he was scared really, he wasn't able to imagine an life without Geet and her love, he even thought of killing himself, if she goes away from him, he can't simply bear the thought of Geet going away from his life, Maan was ready to do anything, to make Geet stay, he thought to call Geet, but he didn't want to force her either,
Geet on the other hand was roaming in the mansion, she was badly hurt, not because of Maan's past but by the pain he was having, she knew, how difficult it would have been for Maan to keep everything inside him, with no one to share to, and she felt really bad as she couldn't answer him there, she was 100% sure that Naina couldn't have kill herself scared of Maan's anger, it seemed silly even for her, even when Geet was forced to marriage, she didn't think of dying, and also having Naintara as her sister why would she do that,
Geet mind was filled with questions and pain and concern and worries, Maan got an sudden meeting with his clients and so he called Dadi maa and told her not to wait for him, and to have dinner and sleep up as he will be late, Maan cursed his fate as today he really wanted to talk with Geet and this meeting came up, Maan decided to complete the meeting as soon as possible and get home, but Maan's fate hit him again, his meeting got delayed much as his clients caught up with traffic and they came one hours late, and when Maan completed the meeting, it was 11.00 pm,

It was 11.30 when Maan entered the Khurana Mansion, the hall was dark and he knew Dadi maa and Geet would have slept up, and so he went towards his room, Maan paused for a second before Geet's room, he thought to go in but changed his mind and decided to talk tomorrow, Maan went to his room and freshen up and came out, he had no heart to hit the bed and so stood near the window thinking what will happen now,
Geet who never slept saw Maan's room lid up when she came out of her room to check on him, "he is back," she said and walked towards his room and saw him standing near the window thinking deeply as she entered the room, Geet knew he was deeply hurt, and pained, and she never wanted to increase it anymore, she wanted to have him peace, she wanted her love to be the cure for his pains and she every well knew what she should do, "Baba ji, help me" she prayed as she entered in and walked towards him,
Maan suddenly felt an cold hands circling and holding his long arm and he turned slightly to see Geet holding his arm and laying her head on his arm bicep and looking at him with a smile and twinkling eyes, Maan immediately forgot all his pains and an smiled appeared on his lips, He slowly pulled her up and looked at her still smiling face, "didn't sleep yet" Maan asked and Geet nodded an no, "why" Maan asked and Geet blushed slightly, "because of you" she said,
"Me" Maan asked slowly, "Hmmm, without your good night kiss, I couldn't sleep, it turned into an habit now, without seeing your naughty smile and getting your good night kiss, I will never be able to sleep now," Geet said and Maan looked at her with an smile, "so you better follow it forever" Geet said and Maan looked at her with an smile bit more, "Maan, I love you" Geet said and Maan smiled more shaking his head, and held her face in his hands, "Geet you are turning smart, these days" Maan said slowly,
"Without getting into the topic, you answered all my questions with your smile and took away all my pains with your sweet words," Maan said staring deep into her eyes, "Geet, to tell you the truth, I was scared today, from morning my heart was fearing that I might lose you, Geet, I don't know how to live without you," Maan said and Geet smiled and kept her hands on his hands, which was holding her face, "either do I, I can't live without you, not your past nor the future, nor anything, will change my mind and my love for you, I love you and I will love you forever" Geet said with an smiled that promised him everything,
"Geet, I love you, I love you more than anything in this world" Maan said and Geet smiled and hugged him leaning on to his rock hard chest, and held him up snaking her hands around his neck, Maan felt peace now, all his pains, guilty, worries had vanished away in thin air, Geet's love was an invitation by god, for him to an new life filled with love and happiness, he felt the blessing of god with her love, and promised himself that he will cherish and protect this blessing in his hold forever,
