Once upon a time I used to say it as Touch-ee😆
When I was younger used to read these words in books. Touche, Rendezvous and pronounce them exactly as they sounded.
Believe me I have embarrassed myself enough on words like this😆
my favorite one was Hors d'oeuvres.
The first time I read it I fung away the book in disgust coz I though they were serving horse flesh as an appetizer. I thought the missing 'e' in horse was a publication error🤣

Like wise I had once been seriously offended by my boss on my first job, when one moment he was cracking up at something I had said and the other moment he he said 'Get out of here.'
I just turned around walked out almost in tears. Long story short, needless to say he had a good laugh at my expense when he learnt that I thought he'd been serious when he had used the so called Americn slang.😆
Damn the complexities of the English language.🤢

As for war, you betcha there is going to be war...most definitely... and it is all going to start with a carrom striker. Just wait and watch😆
I have the whole thing written, but it's in the future😉

I have watched Dookudu, but some things always get lost in translation

Finally finished reading all the updates and i really really loved this FF a lot. From its title to different characters to its story line n its pace, everything. More so cos of the Marathi flavor and being a Maharashtrian myself (okay not completely, half marathi n half bengali) it was more fun to read the interactions b/w Geet-Rano-Pari lots. Though your marathi is very typical n pure types where as mine is all Mumbaiyya type with marathi, hindi n english words mix, some words did went above my head despite being Maharashtrian but still i preferred reading the marathi dialogues only cos it was fun that way. But the best part about your updates is the narration you give at the end. I really look forward to read them after every update n yes every time i was sad when they werent given in some updates. So please please do continue giving them.

Coming to the story line n its characters, they are really unique in their own way. And the bond they share b/w them makes it more special. Its just difficult to chose who is more favorite n who touched my heart more. Each one of them have a story to tell n they all are so different from one another n yet they are so compassionate n loving. But yes, somewhere i have a soft side for Handas. For they dont share blood relations n yet there is so much love not just b/w them but to also give it to others by simply making them their own n tying to themselves for lifetime. They all are so compassionate. I loved n admire each one the bonds b/w every characters. All shares different relations but each one have touched my heart with the same warmth n love they have for each other. This FF had great humor, emotions, pain, hurt, betrayal, planning plotting, love, bonding, feelings, some awesome witty lines, over all an entertaining package it was.

No one could actually tell that Geet isnt Miri's biological mother. Geet's love for Miri was shown in the first update itself but the intensity n depth of it shocked me with each update n when the whole past was out. Both have already seen too much in this life n my heart goes for both of them. I really cant imagine the pain, hurt n guilt with which Geet might have gone when the harsh reality of her life came in front of her in the form of worst nightmare. At once her life was completely changed n she lost her mom, masi n brother also a family which she all her life called n believed as her own. She truly is one strong woman, even after so much of pain, she is so compassionate n has so much love to give. And her will to stand on her legs again made me respect her a lot more. And Miri too, god that poor kid lost her grandma n baba, no wonder she is so insecure. But damn Brij n Baba were really up above any blood relations. They both knew the truth n not once they made Geet feel that she is not their own. Cos of them Geet-Miri could be back to life with same zeal. I cried so much when the past was unfolded. I have no words for Rani's family and also for that husband n his family. Family for whom their name n 'jhoothi izzat' means more than their own child's happiness deserves no respect. But yes people like Anita n her son who helped them so selflessly made Rano lucky. I loved Mohendra n Rano's bond too. Coming to Brij's role is this FF, its total opposite from the show. I simply cant imagine him all shy n blushing. His bond with Geet is no doubt special but with Pari its something altogether different n unique. And Pari, gosh she surprised me totally with her profession. I could never ever guess her to be an inspector at start when she goes all dreamy n desperate for Brij. Her bond with Geet is also so damn heart touching, she can actually to go any extent for her n vice-versa. Both can do anything for each other. I would definitely want a friend like Pari, she is a pataka n badass character. And she has so many shades to her. She is also damn cute with Miri. Almost like second mother to her. Her scene with Miri were hilarious. Specially when she used Miri to get on Maan. Though she was wrong in using a child's innocence but for a change i dint mind it cos Maan deserved it somewhere.

I like as well dislike him. He is just the best when it comes to his family, but only when its about his family. Otherwise he is very judgemental n may be that is cos he has seen the world n was betrayed by his own people. But then i also feel that doesnt give him right to hurt others by his harsh words. May be at start his actions were justified given he himself had heard it from Geet using the same words his chacha used. Even second time was also okay, i understood him there too. But definitely i was mad at him when he hurt her again when he tried to test her friendship with Pari n to see if she deserves a friend like Pari. There i definitely felt he had no rights to judge her friendship with others or for that matter any relations she shares with others n what all she deserves n what not. And what he did at police station was just outright rude n mean again. Until he accepts to himself about his feelings, he is just gonna be pushing her n himself like Dadi said and end up drowning in pool of guilt n may be even self-hatred once he actually come to know how gem of a person she is n he misjudged her. Its like he just turns blind n deaf when it comes to Geet. Many times Dev n Dadi tried making him see the truth, defended her even Pari did. But he is just he. Anyways his this one flaw wont change the other facts, that he is the best brother, grandson and son. Also i dont completely blame him for what he is today. People around him n may be the harsh reality of this cruel world n his own experiences has made him like this. Responsibilities at young age made him like this. His love n protectiveness for his family n to keep them safe n away from any hurt made him what he is today. And more over his scenes were really less n most of the time he was shown arrogant and rude so i cant form any strong opinion on him. May be his softer side is yet to be shown properly. Though Pari thought him quite good lesson in her own way, i m really hoping to see good friendship b/w them as well. What he did for Brij n her was sweet. He is the man of his words. After seeing how it was so difficult for him to apologize to Pari i thought he would not be able to apologize to Geet as well. But damn he surprised me, and m glad he did. His curiosity over knowing about Geet n her past is quite amusing though. I mean at one side he gets all logical n tries to make himself understand over n over again that he doesnt care n Geet means nothing to him n other side he cant help but be interested in knowing about her. She actually brings the extreme in him n may be even make him feel human other than his Dev n Dadi. She brings the emotions in him n he hates that fact. And m interested to know how Maaneet bond will grow and how he will win her. Cos she is insecure too n fears and doesnt want to get involve in any relationship.

Dev is a sweetheart. He too has seen a lot at a very young age just like Miri. Lost his parents, suffered physical disability n was in guilt for 5 long years. Just like Miri my heart went for him too. He is such smart n ambitious kid n so mature at such a young age. Wants to grow big quite early n admires n loves his brother dearly. Helps his Dadima in her naughtiness but that side was out when they met Geet. Geet is bringing him out of his shell n for that i really love her. I guess her bond with everyone in this FF is special n unique. She spreads love wherever she goes.

Dadima is a kid at heart. She is damn adorable n anyways i love her when she plays a cupid b/w Maaneet. Her love for Maan n Dev just warms my heart. And m so glad Geet has got a mother in her. And Dadi's silent treatment whenever Maan tries to know anything related to Geet is cute.

Yash's entry has made things more interesting. I wonder how will be his character n what twist he brings in this tale. Dev is already getting protective of Geet so what effects he is going to have on Maan babu, m so curious to know.

Hey Sanjana first and foremost thank you so much for taking time out and giving such a detailed comment on the story.
I do not want to analyze this beauty of a comment, but rather just want to tell you what it means to me😳
You have no clue what it means to me as a writer when a reader gives such comments.
It boosts my morale by leaps and bounds. It obviously strokes my ego(a very bad thing indeed. Got to slap that damn egoistic thing down constantly😆)

But more than anything, it just overwhelms and humbles me that something I scribbled randomly would evoke such a response.

My husband is very much a part of my writing in the sense that I keep asking him for feed back until he gets fed p with me.😆
But the one thing he always likes to read is people's analysis of the characters. He's even told me several times to ask readers what they feel about the characters.
When I read out your comment to him, the first thing he said was, see this is the exact thing I wanted to know.
Needless to say, he absolutely loved our comment.

So yet another marathi reader. I have quiet a few reading this story and I am very gad. I had serious doubts when I started this story about writing it in 3 different languages, but that is how, many homes in India are. We speak different languages within the same house. In our house we spoke Marathi with our dad, however our mom was Goan, so she spoke Konkani to us. Plus me and my sister spoke either Marathi or English to each other. And that is why I decided I was going mix a couple of languages into the story. National Integration for many of us starts right at home. If you are a half Bengali and half marathi I think, you know exactly what I mean😃

As for the narrations, I am always unsure if anybody reads them a t all and am always in doubt bout writing them. But if I know that there are readers who are reading it then I will definitely write them, though I might not have something to add each time.

. I have always said this a and I will say it again. Looking at the characters through a pair of eyes other than mine, alwa😳akes me look at the characters with renewed eyes. A different perspective always refreshes my mind 😃

Thank you once gain for this wonderful comment. I have already read i three times and I have still not absorbed it completely. I will need to read it a couple more times at least to feel anywhere near satisfied
🤗

I have watched Dookudu, but some things always get lost in translation

I think the first time I heard that word was in Princess Diaries 2 when Julie Andrews agrees with Chris Pines. Didn't bother to look up what it meant and just thought it was some Genovian word for saying I agree.

But for "Hors d'oeuvres" LMAO!! 🤣 I can't really say it even now but I did know it was some fancy shmancy word for appetizer like things in high-fi restaurants!

Get out of here! *wink wink* Sacchi aap ro rahe the? I thought you would give one of your witty replies back. I do remember laughing with my dad with certain slangs they used here like "yo". The first time I heard "Oh that sucks" from my swim coach, I scrunched my nose in disgust thinking even mature elders are using that word.

Haha that movie was fun! But not a fan of that skimpy heroine Samantha though... 😕

Your welcome n m glad my comment dint bore you. Cos i love to blabber n sometimes feels i go overboard, specially after seeing the length of my comment. It always make me think, did i spoke too much? Or what if my comment or any word offend the writer if i say something about their characters n their actions. But then i cant help it, specially when its a story on my most fave fictional characters Geet n Maan n couple Maaneet n their awesome journey portrayed n presented by different writers in different concepts n story line. Their name itself brings out the emotions in me n makes me feel so connected cos of the special place they have created in my heart. And what could be more better way to remember them than reading such awesome stories written by you amazing n talented writers? 🤗

And about ur hubby, wow i must say i m quite shocked to know that he helps you in writing stories through his own feedback. (may be cos i have really never seen or heard such about a man who could actually help his wife to write something on fictional character who are not even on TV screen anymore or may be the simple fact when people call us girls/women mad for being crazy for a show n their characters) So happy to know that man like him exist too who supports, helps n encourages their wife. 👏

But about you reading my comment to him, i can only say, m quite embarrassed. He really must be thinking us to be some really crazy specimens on planet earth. 😆

About your writing way n different languages, i loved it n please continue. I would definitely loved to see more of Geet-Pari's conversation in marathi. And of course hindi n english is constantly there.

In fact when Geet asked about wanting to learn some bad words, i was like she can definitely use some decent words likes.. murkha, kaartya, gadhava, nalayaka, so on (these are used by me since i hate being bad mouthed n to bad mouth, so for girls like me this suits good) 😆😆 i mean i would loved to see Maan's reaction on the underlined words used by Geet which of course he wouldnt know the meaning of, when he gets rude to her the next time.

But then to think of it, Pari is already filling the quota for Geet by her colorful words.

Anyways enough of my bak bak, m really happy my comment dint offend you, as i was quite worried thinking, i wrote so many negative things about Maan. 😳
