Chapter 20
The secluded part was in our line of vision as we hid inside a dirty van. The place was a dirty one and a tall figure was smoking a cigar looking around carelessly. I felt Geet clutching my shoulder's tightly as one of our spy waved a hand in our direction. He is hiding behind a large tank and I could see him loading his gun. From the past 2 hours we were observing the area and we spotted only 3-4 men. We tried to trace their phone signals and it was success. We tracked the conversation and it was a lady at the other end. She was on her way to this place we should assure Lee's safety and then arrest that b**h with evidence. So assuming the number to be 4, I waved back indicating that we are ready.
Geet, if there is any danger you should inform me through this Bluetooth. We will cover you up, while you go and take Lee. Now switch on the Bluetooth and be ready.
She nodded tightly as her eyes scanned the surroundings.
Don't worry Tesoro. Our baby will be fine.
I was well aware of the risk that we are going to put up. If our assumption is wrong, we could get killed. I hugged Geet tightly as she trembled in my arms.
I love you Geet.
She gasped and looked at my face clearly shocked. I chuckled and pecked her lips.
Trust me. We are going to get our baby doll back.
She smiled and kissed my cheeks before we focused on our mission.
The men hidden beside the trees crept behind the Man1 and twisted his neck shutting his mouth. We followed them as the cost was clear and 2 other men with me covered Geet as we entered the door unlocking. One of the men spotted us quickly and he began firing us, but our trained men tackled him on spot. There were numerous stairs confusing us but before we could think more men came out from other rooms. Our assumption was certainly wrong.
Geet's POV
As Maan and other men were fighting, I clutched the revolver that was hidden inside my jacket tightly. I dint know where they kept my baby, but I noticed my Lee's doll crushed on one of the stairs at the right end corner.
Maan, Right end stairs. Going to look for Lee.
Geet.. No.. wait
I could hear his voice from bluetooth, but I couldn't help myself to listen. Its my baby's life. I dashed towards the stair and looked the entire floor frantically. Not finding her I was about to give up, when I noticed a small room hidden behind the pillar. I stepped towards the room and heard a faint crying.
Lee..
Mo..mmy..
My heart lurched seeing my baby's face red from crying. I dashed towards her and hugged her tight showering kisses all over her face.
Oh! So you found this bi**h.
How could I forget this sound that's my constant nightmare? I turned around clutching Lee tightly. She was wearing an evil smile on her make up filled face still looking the same.
How are you my Geet baby?
Don't call my name or I swear I will kill you.
Aww!! Seems like you are not so happy to meet your lovely mom. I m so hurt.
She touched her chest faking a hurtful look.
You were never a mother. You killed my dad.
She locked the door and sat on a chair that was in the corner.
He was your step dad sweety. I would have left him if he never meddled in my business, but that b**d.. he never left a single penny, even for you. You should be furious with him.
I m glad he did that. Otherwise you would have killed me too.
She let out an evil laugh and I cringed at her high pitch voice. Lee looked more scared and buried her head in my arms.
Why are you doing this mom?
I was tired of her sick attitude. I just want this to be over.
Money baby. It was all a game. I had to adopt you to get George's attention and after we married I loved' him and his so called daughter so much. But he was pretty clever in understanding my motives so he changed the will before I killed him. Then there was Charlotte. Then again that man's daughter was much clever than I thought. She transferred the properties to your name till her legal age. But I have a plan. You just transform that billion dollar properties to my name and I will leave you.

Her face dangerously transformed into a serious one as she thrust the papers.

I don't know what I felt at that moment. But I felt glad that she is not my biological mother.
Suddenly the door slammed open and Maan was pointing revolver at her.
Aww!! You are so handsome. But not so intelligent. Just put the revolver down. Otherwise I should have to press this button.
Her hands held a remote controller now pointing at Lee. Panicked, I checked Lee's dress and saw a bomb attached inside her dress.
Now be a good girl and sign these damn papers sweetie.
I looked at Maan and he blinked his eyes assuring me. I bend down to take the papers that were thrown my way but not before shielding my daughter behind me. Then without thinking I took the revolver and fired the bullet at her direction continuously taking everyone by surprise. I saw her limp body before everything turned black.

Lee's laughter was heard in the entire house as I prepared cookies. It has been 2 months after the incident. I dint know how the case was dissolved but our name was not given to any press. Maan has pulled lots of strings to do this. He insisted on staying with us in the apartment when I declined to live with him. Lee was traumatized slightly but with the help of psychologists we pulled her out.All in all i felt relieved. I have nothing to fear now.
Oh god!! What have u done to my room?
Maan and Lee stopped laughing and looked down pouting. The whole bedroom was a mess. Sheets were crumbled and the pillows were lying over the dressing table. Curtains of the window were dangling.
Get ready for the school Lee and you Mr, don't u have to go office?

Maan mimicked her actions and I hid my smile that crept up. Ignoring their innocent faces, I stomped out and went to kitchen. These 2 are going to be the death of me. I heard the faint murmurings and from the corner of my eyes, I saw Lee pushing Maan to my way while he nudged Lee.

He nipped my neck hard finding the sensitive spot and I shivered in delight. His nose trailed along my shoulder and I felt my gown slipping away.

I sighed thinking about their sudden love for Annie. Something is cooking in these devil's mind.
