Maan did not know either. But he was going to find out.

He made her lie down and slid besides her. Geet cuddled up in a bundle and faced her back towards him. He stroked her hair and patted her head continuously. "sleep baby. I'm right here. I wont leave you." After a while, geet drifted off. Veer sighted. He kissed her forehead and sat on the bed resting his back on the headboard. Geet was still clutching his one hand and he did not dare take it back in case she might wake up. All these years of taking care of her, he had seen her in worse states, but rite now, she looked totally broken. he couldn't understand why she would think he would leave her. She was not supposed to be stressing herself. Everything might get worse. He glanced at her and thanked god that she at least looked peaceful in her sleep. He had to find out what was going on in her head. She was the only family he had left. He couldn't afford losing her. he gathered her closer and kept stroking her for his own peace of mind.

Maan , Dev and Yash knocked the man unconscious and brought him to the headquarters. They put him in one of the rooms where they usually kept people they bought for questioning. He was blindfolded so that he does not recognize any location.

Captain ram and Varun had seen them coming out of the elevator with the man. They were surprised. They were not supposed to be bringing anyone. But Maan had heard the man's conversation and he could not let the chance of saving those girls get away.

"Leave him to me Maan. Yash and Dev will give me an update and I will question him"

Maan smirked. He knew his brother had his own way of getting people to speak out.

Varun continued. "Veer called. He's not coming today. He told me geet was not very well"

Maan face changed to worry. Before he asked, Varun cut him. "There's nothing to worry Maan. She's fine health wise. You need to go see her though"

Maan did not waste time asking further questions. He made his way out, got into his car and started driving towards Veer house. He hoped everything was fine.

When he reached, Veer opened the door and allowed him in. He asked him about the location and maan told him that they got a man. He then looked around the house hoping to find her.

"She is sleeping maan. I don't think she slept the whole night. I just got up from there myself."

"How is she? What happened?" Maan asked

"Its nothing serious. But we need to talk." They both took a seat and Veer started telling him what happened.

"She was looking tense yesterday maan. I managed to cheer her up and I thought she was fine. But when I woke up in the morning, she was crying in the kitchen. When I asked her, she said she was tired and she wanted to sleep. But after I put her in her room and started leaving, she stopped me. She told me to stay with her, and to not leave her ever. She told me she won't bother me and she wont be a burden on me anymore. She was pleading to me. Not to leave her"

Maan remained silent. They both remained silent and then veer asked him.

"Did anything happen between you too Maan? Why did she want to come back here so badly yesterday?"

Maan shook his head. "No, nothing happened. Everything was fine. The past few days we were all busy and I did not even spend a lot of time in the house. But I felt her avoiding me. I didn't pay much attention. Before that, we were totally fine. We talked about things and she agreed with me."

"What things?"

"I told her that I was serious about this relationship. I even talked to her about marriage in the long run." Then maan realized. So that's what's bothering her. How did not I realize that? She had already thought about ending this relationship. That's why she was avoiding me. That's why she was afraid that she might be alone one day if veer leaves her. Maan was shocked. He had not realized the extent of geet's insecurities.

"What happened Maan? What are you thinking?" Veer asked him

"Veer! Who told geet that she could not conceive? When I talked to her that day, she said that she was next to being infertile and did not want to drag me in that. She even talked about not being able to have a normal sex life. Who told her these things. I don't suppose you or Sahil did."

Veer looked shocked. No one talked about these things with geet. "Of course not. No one told her anything. She is still young. And she's never dated anyone before so we could talk about her being able to have sex."

Maan sighted. "This girl has been reading about all this stuff on the internet. She's already made up her mind about not getting in a serious relationship with me or anyone because she cannot have kids one day."

Veer still looked surprised. He shook his head. "I was not aware about all these things. I guess she realized all these when you talked about marriage." Veer rubbed his forehead. "All this time she's been so insecure? I can't understand that! I wonder why she would think that I would leave her though!"

"I don't know Veer. I really don't know" Maan said. "You have to find that out from her I guess. Let me go see her" He headed towards her room.

"I made her sleep in my room. Go there"

Maan went into Veer's room and there was geet lying in the middle of veer's bed. Maan went closer and he could see the tears stain on her cheeks. Her eyes were swollen.

Veer came in some times later with a syringe in his hands. "She's not had her medicines today. I don't want to wake her up. I'll give her an injection. It should work out. Can you please turn her on her back for me." Maan did as he was told. He slid her shirt up and veer plunged the needle on her lower back. Geet flinched. "It's ok...you're fine baccha" Veer murmured.

"Sahil told me these injections are stronger." Maan said while putting her back in her previous position.

"Yeah, they are. But she missed two doses already since morning. So it doesn't matter. I prefer her taking tablets. These injections are too painful. They are mostly painkillers for when she's on her periods. She usually has a bad time with the pain then. But I really don't want to wake her up."

Maan's face was serious again. He had started understanding geet's condition better. He had to give credit to Veer for taking such good care of her.

"Lets go eat something. I don't think you've eaten anything since you got back. Until then she might wake up" veer said before they both headed into the kitchen.

Part 11

Geet woke up and realized she was in Veer's bedroom. She sat up and winced. She knew what it was. Stupid injection!! All the previous events flashed into her mind and she remembered how she had broken down in front of Veer. How am I going to explain that now? She got up from the bed and started walking towards the kitchen. She saw Maan and Veer eating. She entered the kitchen and veer saw her first.

"Geet! You are up baccha. I thought you were not going to wake up at all for today"

He acted completely normal to her. Perhaps because maan was there.

"Come geet. Take a seat. Your brother is serving us food" Maan said smiling.

Great, everything is normal.

She sat down and rested her back slowly. It was actually hurting. Veer noticed her.

"I used the injection today baby. You were sleeping and I did not want to wake you. Is it hurting too much?"

"Just a bit" Geet replied.

"You're a strong girl." Veer said rubbing her back. He put the food on the table and she didn't give time and started eating. She was starving.

Then Maan got a call from Varun. He called to tell him that the man had actually told them a lot and they had to make further plans now.

"I'm leaving Veer. I'll meet you tomorrow."

Going over to geet, he kissed her forehead and told her softly. "we need to spend some more time together. I've hardly talked to you since a while. You were hell bent on coming back with your bother yesterday"

Geet didn't know what to say. She just nodded.

Maan signaled veer that he should talk to geet. Veer signaled back. Then he left.

Headquarters- Meeting room

"Good job people" Captain Ram said. "We need to start for an extrication plan immediately. The man you guys got in the morning started singing like a puppet after Varun started questioning him. There is a warehouse near the dock in Woodbridge. I already got the satellite images. The girls are being kept there. Today it's Saturday, and they are shipping the girls on Tuesday morning. We are carrying on with our operation on Monday morning. Is that all right?

Everyone expressed their agreements. "Aashi!" Captain ram continued. "Get me the exact coordinates as we plan our moves from where we are entering. Find out where are the cameras and other security gadgets."

"Yes sir, I will be able to disable it as you guys start making your moves"

"Meera, yash, Maan and Varun...you guys sit together and prepare the operation step by step. Where is Veer? I need him too!"

"He's...busy today. With geet." Maan said

Captain ram looked at him and nodded. "Update him on everything as soon as you can."

Then he turned to everyone else back again. "You guys are the best. Best of luck. Need any other resources, let me know. ok?"

"Yes Sir" They replied.

All of them went and sat at the table.

"I'm going to make coffee first. Anyone?" Meera asked

"I think everyone wants a cup" Varun said, a big grin on his face.

Meera was going into the kitchen. "Meera can you please switch off the lights in the detainee's room. We don't want to give him the advantage of light." Varun asked her.

Meera said yes and went into the room. As soon as she entered, she didn't get time to react. The man flung from his chair still tied onto it and stabbed her with a knife in the arm." She screamed and hoped that someone heard her.

Part 12

Varun was in the kitchen looking for Meera. She was supposed to be making coffee. He glanced at the other room where the man was kept and the lights were still on. He had a bad feeling about this. He hurriedly went into the room. He was shocked. Meera was lying on the ground clutching her arm. The man was still tied to the chair, which had fallen upside down. He understood what happened. The bas***d took the knife he had used and had flung himself at meera as soon as she had entered the room. Luckily, he still could not move from the chair, or else he couldn't imagine what he'd have done to meera.

There was a lot of blood on the floor. He bent down towards Meera and made her stand up. "He flung at me with the knife! bas***d!" he could tell that she was scared. She was not armed and was unprepared to what was coming towards her.

"ok...come on let's go. We need to take care of that wound. You will need stitches...let me call maan. He'll take care of our man. Apparently he was not enjoying his stay so much.

Geet glanced at her brother. He was doing the dishes. They would have to talk at some point bout why she broke down like that. Veer was done and he turned and walked towards her.

"Let's go out today. I might be busy the next few days so we can use this time. Ok?"

Geet smiled. "Ok, lets pick up Aashi too and then go to the beach. We'll have fun together."

"She might be working geet. But let me call her. We can leave in like an hour."

"ok" Geet replied.

Varun made meera sit in the kitchen. He went to get the first aid box. When he got back, he examined the wound. It was a deep in her right arm. "You will need stitches Meera. Hold the cloth on your wound, I will disinfect it"

"No! I don't need stitches. It's not that deep. Just disinfects it and put a bandage. The bleeding will stop. It will close up by itself." Meera replied.

"I'm the medic Meera. So shut up and let me do what should be done." Varun said.

"You shut up! You don't talk to me like that. Give it to me, I'll do it myself." Meera stood up and started taking the antiseptic from his hands.

"Shut. Up. And. Sit. Down" Varun gritted his teeth and gave her a stern look.

Meera looked at him with her eyes fierce. She was not going to relent. But Varun was more stubborn, he continued staring at her until she turned her face and sat down "Do whatever!"

Varun gave her a wide smile. "Good girl." Meera just remained silent with her face turned sideways.

Varun cleaned her wound with the antiseptic. He knew this should be hurting like hell. But the woman in front of him did not even flinch. She was doing a damn good job in hiding her pain. Her arms were slender, but muscular. He could see that she worked out on a regular basis. he applied the stitches and put a bandage. "It's all done sweetheart. Tomorrow I'll change the dressing when you come."

Meera nodded and started to leave. Varun caught her hands and turned her to face him. He touched her cheeks. "It's all right to show that it hurts Meera, you don't have to hide..."

"Thank you!" She cut him off and went to join the others.

Varun watched her leaving. He couldn't help it but damn, he wanted to see the real Meera. the person she was trying so hard to hide.

When Varun joined the team, he saw Aashi leaving. "Where are you going?" he asked

"Oh Varun, Veer just called me, he's going to the beach with geet and he's coming to pick me up. He asked if you guys want to join." Aashi asked looking at Varun and Maan.

"You guys go." Varun replied. "I have to start working on this operation. Maan can go. He can use the distraction"

Everyone said goodbye and they parted

Maan and Aashi were waiting in the store downstairs. Veer and Geet walked in a few minutes later. Maan had his car so he suggested geet come with him and Aashi and Veer can go together and they all got into their car.

Maan looked at geet sitting besides him. She looked fine and happy. It was good because he had a lot to talk about when they reached the beach. Once and for all, he was going to clear all her misunderstandings and hopefully make her stop feeling insecure.

"Are you going to go for a swim geet? Or are we just going to be on the beach? Maan asked.

"No, just a long walk on the beach today. It's too chilly to go swimming." Geet replied back.

After a while, they reached the beach. Veer got out of the car and came to maan. "Aashi and me are going to be in the car. Geet wanted to have a long walk. You go together. Is that all right Geet?" Veer asked

Geet smiled at her brother. "Ok. But don't do anything mischievous with Aashi. Ok?"

Veer shook his head and shuffled her hair. "Ok mam, I wont" he returned her smile and walked back to the car.

"Let's walk barefoot Maan. Leave your shoes in the car."

Geet took out her flip flops, got out of the car and they both went on their long walk.

Part 13

Maan held geet by the waist as they were walking. She was having fun. She's always loved the sea and the beach since she was small. He's known her since she was born. He used to care about her like everyone did, but he never knew that one day he was going to fall in love with her. He still doesn't know how it happened. One thing he knew was that geet always liked him. he smiled when he remembered something Varun had narrated to him.

Past:

Geet was 12 years old. She was staying over at their place and maan was still at school that evening. She went into Varun's room and sat in front of him. "What does having a crush means?" she asked.

Varun was surprised and then he laughed. "Who told you that baccha?"

"There was a guy at school today. My friend told me that she had a crush on him. I didn't understand." Geet replied.

Varun smiled. "Ok come, I will explain."

Geet got on his lap and he explained. "This means that your friend likes the guy. You know, the romance type you see on your shows?"

"Oh, ok..;" Excited by this new piece of information, Geet had sprung out of his lap in a rush. But before that, Varun held her and made her sit again.

"Wait where are you going so quickl!. Now you tell me. Who do you have a crush on? Tell me, it's just going to be our secret!" Varun had asked her

After a lot of persuasion, geet had said his name.

"Maan! you have a crush on Maan." Varun smiled and shook his head. "Don't you think he's too old for you baccha?"

"No, I like him" geet had replied.

When Varun had told maan, they had taken this very lightly.

End of past

At that point, he didn't even love geet. He used to have his own girlfriend.

"What's so funny. Why are you smiling?" Geet asked.

Maan took her waist, grabbed her closer and asked her with a husky voice. "Someone told me you had a crush on me when you were 12 years old"

Geet's eyes widened. Then she realized that Varun had told him. "I hate Varun. This was supposed to be our secret." She was angry but then said lightly. "Anyways I was just 12 at that time. Who knew what was on my mind!" When she started walking forward maan grabbed her arm and came close to her. "You don't like me now?" he asked.

Geet stared at him. His close proximity was affecting her. Her hands were on his chest and maan was holding her waist. She could feel his hard abs. she wanted to feel him under her fingers. She looked into his eyes and replied. "Yes I do"

Then maan's face turned serious. "So when were you planning to break up with me?" He asked her.

Geet was surprised. How did he know that I was thinking about doing this? She tried to loosen his grip on her waist and he tightened his hold. She winced. Her injection spot still hurt. Maan looked concerned and loosened his hold.

"Is it the injection?" He asked.

Geet nodded.

"Does it hurt like that all the time? How long does it take to go?"

"It will be gone by tomorrow! It's fine" Geet was not looking into his eyes.

He did not leave her. Slowly he rubbed her back to soothe her.

"Geet! We need to talk." Maan said

Yes they needed to talk. They sat down on the sand. Then maan asked her

"Who told you that you cannot have a baby one day Geet?"

His question surprised her. but she replied. "I know Maan. I read about it a lot. I can conceive but there's not much chance. Why do you ask that?"

Maan didn't say anything and didn't answer her question. Then he asked her another question. He looked so serious and a bit angry that geet was scared. "Have you ever had sex? What do you know about it?"

Geet's face changed completely and she became expressionless. She did not understand. She realized he was waiting for an answer. But then,she forgot about his serious face and got mad. "Why are you asking me these sorts of questions? You know I've not even dated anyone before. How am I supposed to have had sex and ..."

"That's the point I'm trying to make Geet! You don't know. You don't know anything. You don't know anything about making love with someone. Last time you threw all the crap about not being able to have a normal sex life, not being able to conceive and you've been building up all these insecurities about god knows what."

"No. it's not true." Geet said "I don't want to talk about all this. I love you. But I don't want to be with you. I've already decided. Yes, I am going to end this relationship. I want to learn how to take care of myself. I'm too dependent on everyone. Everyone has worry about me all the time. I'm no longer a baby now. That's how everyone treat me. That's how you treat me. You always saw me just like a kid. Someone you had to take care of when Veer and Varun was not here. You care for me, but you don't love me. You are right. I don't know anything about sex and...and I'm...I'm not right for you. You wont be able to spend your life with me."

Maan could see the tears forming in her eyes and how desperately she was fighting not to let them fall and not let him see it. "Geet, look at me... don't hide from me." He made her turn her face towards him. "You really think I don't love you, I just care about you?" He asked gently.

In some way it was true, that's how it was before he left the army. But now his feeling have changed. "I told you what you mean to me now Geet. You are a grown up, mature woman now. You are beautiful. You are strong, courageous, kind and sometimes you are childish., just like the kid I used to take care of, but I love you. I care about you deeply. I left the army because I couldn't bear the fact that you were sick and I couldn't even be with you. Doesn't that mean anything to you?"

Maan looked at geet intently waiting for an answer. He knew she was aware that he loved her. She was just insecure and that made her unsure. Slowly, she let the tears fall and looked at him. She looked so vulnerable. "I know you love me. I know" she whispered.

Maan took her on his lap and hugged her to his chest tightly. He let her cry. She started sobbing badly. He could feel his shirt getting wet. Since they got together, this was the first time they both were sincere to each other and got their feelings out. After a while it subsided, and he continued rubbing her back and kissing her hair while holding her. Her head was on his chest and his chin rested on her head.

Then geet spoke. "You know. It used to hurt so much. Veer was there all the time ad he couldn't do anything. He just held me and let me cry until the pain subsided. And then he realized that this was not normal. The pain was not normal. You had just joined the army at that time. When he brought me to Sahil and we learnt that I had endometriosis, everything changed. He had to take care of me all the time. I still have a lot of pain when I get my periods maan. I can't bear it sometimes. I try to be strong, but I can't. My back and my legs hurt all the time. I need to take my medicines on time and I can't miss them. Veer is my brother. I'm already a burden on him. But I can't drag you into this. This is not only about kids or having sex. It's a lot more. You don't want to spend your life with me maan. Believe me."

Maan stayed silent and continued stroking her hair. Then he spoke up. "What if I tell you that I love you enough to be with you all my life geet. What if I tell you that rite now if I reject our relationship, I wont be able to settle down with any other woman."

Both stayed in the same position. Then geet spoke with a heavy voice. "Please Maan. Don't"

"You heard me Geet. I love you and you believed me. You told me you loved me too. You've loved me for so long. Shouldn't you be strong enough to accept that we should be together?. Irrespective of how your health is? We can overcome everything together. You should believe that. We wont be able to make love like normal couples, but there's a lot of way geet. You still have the possibility to conceive, if you cant we'll adopt. But we will be together and face everything that comes, together. When you will be in pain, I will hold you. That's what you do when you love someone. You let them help you and you lean on them when you need."

Geet lifted her head and looked at him. she could see the sincerity in his eyes. She pressed her head back on his chest and remained quiet for a long time.

Maan knew she was thinking. She was in a phase where she was accepting what he said. Things were going in a good direction now. He could feel that he had managed to convince her.

Finally, she lifted her head from his chest and looked him in the eyes. "I love you" she said, "I love you so much."

Maan wiped her tears and replied back. "I love you too" she smiled.

"So we're in this together?" Maan asked

Geet hugged him and buried her face in his neck and nodded yes. "Forever." She said.

While maan and geet had left for a walk, Aashi and Veer had stayed in the car. They were looking at the waves. Aashi could see that veer looked worried. She knew it had something to do with geet.

"What happened Veer. Is geet fine?"

Veer nodded yes at her. Then he moved his seat a bit to the back. "Come here Aashi" he motioned her to come on his lap.

Aashi was hesitant but finally went over. Veer settled her over his lap. And slipped his hand under her shirt caressing her belly. "God, I missed you so much." Then he closed his eyes. His hands making patterns on her tummy. Aashi rested against him. "Geet is fine." Veer said. "She's just a bit insecure. But I trust maan, he will take care of her."

The silent went on for some more time and Veer started speaking again. "You can't believe the horrors of man Aashi. We are used to it. But it still affects us so much." The things that happened in Mexico was taking a toll on him. After sharing with Aashi ,he felt lighter.

"I know Veer. But you are doing something at least, right? You have the chance to make a difference. You should be proud of that. You are such a brave man. You take care of geet, you take care of the whole world. And now, me too." She smiled.

Veer opened his eyes and looked at her. "Did I tell you how much I love you?"

He took her lips and kissed her softly. He kissed her slowly.

His hands found her jeans and he unzipped it. It travelled inside her panties and he was already touching her in her most intimate place. "You are already wet baby!"

Aashi broke the kiss and looked at him, then she blushed. Veer smiled. "I love it when you blush"

His eyes were passionate. "I want to pleasure you" he said. He started rubbing her and kissed her at the same time. Aashi could not take it. she was moving her hips when Veer trapped her with one leg. He continued rubbing her and she exploded. Her orgasm came on full force. After that, she just slumped down on him. Veer was satisfied.

After some time, Aashi sat up. She could feel his hardness from under her. She looked at him and veer laughed. "Don't worry about it. You're staying over at my place tonight. I'm going to have my way with you." he hugged her and kissed her forehead.
