PART 2:
past in grey
Beta yeh saree kaisa hai?? Geet made a face getting irritated with her mother's continuous trails to plead her to wear the saree ... Wearing a salwar was a big issue for her coz she used to get ready in her jeans and tops so that she wont take much time to reach college.
Here her mother was asking her to wear something which she wouldn't never like to look at, while other women giggled ... she was needed to get ready for her mehendi and madam was busy throwing her tantrums.
Finally her mother succeeded in making Geet wear that saree, she stood in front of the mirror observing herself ... very feminine, from head to toe!!
Nazar utaarna padega teri, saying Rano kissed her daughter's forehead with love and warmth, dekha meri beti ko?? She is beautiful ... She stood there getting confused with her mother's needless cries. It was a saree she wore, that's it ... yeh maa itni senti kyun ho jaati hai babaji?? Geet thought!!
The next day was the day of their marriage ... She saw him for the first time, he was handsome. Everytime his hand touched hers during the wedding ceremony Geet's heartbeat would go higher and she would get lost in him. The symbols of marriage gave her a strange confidence, he was just hers!! Her veins surged with extra blood after being claimed by Maan with the marriage. One thing she failed in understanding that her heart had silently accepted him.
Geet was not allowed to do anything in the mansion, the only work she did was to prepare sweet as it was the ritual for a newly wedded which was indeed loved by the whole family but the one who had to praise was missing. Earlier she felt she needed time to accept the marriage as it just happened in a week, but she didn't miss the romantic moments which Maan's elder brother Dev and his wife Meera were having. That morning she realized how easily she accepted her husband after the praises she got to hear from her mother.
She checked out the room, their bed room to be precise. Things were organized and placed in order, she carefully observed everything around. The photo frames around which seemed to be close moments with family, she understood Maan really loved his family. She opened the cupboards and stared at his clothes which clearly spoke of his personality.
@London,
How irresponsible could you get?? Did you even make out this was a silly mistake?? I had to rush leaving my wife and family on my marriage day!! Maan spat at his partner Arjun for being so idiotic with the work he had given him and it was not that difficult to be mended without his presence. He was already guilty for leaving Geet and coming there and to add to his misery Arjun messed up all the left over chances to cobble.
He had to start over with the paper work from the beginning, Maan sighed and sat in his chair trying to take a deep breath ... Relaxing himself. All he could sense was his wife's beautiful face, that carved body, she was everything which he thought off!! Behind that beauty was her brains, he felt so proud knowing she was the topper of her batch in engineering and she managed getting a good job with her hard work.
He unlocked his phone and glanced at the wall paper ... it was the picture of hers!! He couldn't stop himself from taking her picture hiding from others the very first time he had actually seen her, his woman!! His would-be!! And now his wife!!
Back to their room,
Geet then pulled the drawer of Maan's worktable ... it had only files and papers. Suddenly her hone rang, she jumped back and hit her head realizing the tune. It was from home ... her mother, she picked it up and listened, beta papa is coming there to take you home ... Maan nahi haina iss liye ... tum ready rehna, in all the words that her mother spoke her mind grasped the line about Maan. How come they knew that he was not there? A disappointment ran through veins, she couldn't stop herself from asking, Mamma aapko kaise pata ki Maan yaha nahi hai?
Beta I spoke to him early morning, tumhara phone unavailable aaya so I called him ... Ab tu ready reh puttar, papa waha aate hi honge!! She hung up definitely not approving what Maan did, he couldn't inform her and go? Does it mean it didn't matter to him? Or is it that he was bound with a responsibility of her and he was running away trying to escape?
Her thoughts had to end when she heard the room door click open. She ran into the arms of her father, she missed him more than she thought she would ... Bete chale? He asked seeing his daughter lost in some world. She was missing Maan probably he thought. As they made their way down Geet again saw the cute pair of Dev and Meera, his hand on her waist ... Meera was pushing him away pleading him to sopt his naughty touches. Geet's hand automatically reached her mangalsutr clutching it tightly, what if Maan was seeing someone else and he felt on the pretense of work? The mere thought scared the hell of her, she took the blessings of Pammi and dadima before leaving. A kind of fear still resided in her, she avoided speaking much to her parents ... Didn't know on whom to go angry on!!
The whole day she didn't come out of room with her mind occupied with so many thoughts. She then even felt like taking her mother's mobile for Maan's number and call him but that ego went higher. Her heart said ... he left, so its his duty to call not hers to call and beg or plead. But then she was educated ... even if he was cheating on her nothing would break her, she had a job which she will join and become independent. But somewhere she felt the need to be loved, just being settled or independent is not enough in life.
Laying on the bed, Geet stared at the papers ... it was the appointment letter ... joining date was in two days, she will divert her mind from then, what about those two days? She cant let her mind to ponder on her useless husband's thoughts.
Geet hugged her teddy bear looking at the screen of the mobile ... this is the third time she was receiving a call from the same unknown number. Not for once did she guess ... May be MSK would call her!! didn't know why she picked it up and when she did the silence from the other end irked her, Hello ... Aap baat bhi karenge?? I am cutting the call if you are trying to flirt around ... you got a wrong number for it ... Andar karvadongi for such blank calls, the person on the other side held his head dramatically ... I am Maan!! Phone slipped off her hand, she sat like a statue hearing her husband for the first time.
Precap: Same!!😆
