Chapter 3
As I stepped out of the elevator on 40th floor, I was momentarily paralyzed with amazement and fear. Its the most beautiful set up I have ever seen.
The reception desk is made of light cherry wood color and the lighting effect at different parts gave a royal look to the lobby. In each corner palm plants were planted and instead of chandelier, i have seen in most offices, small lights were given so that the top arch design got an exquisite look. The glass walls gave an amazing view of the city from top. Mentally i saw a vision of pissed MSK throwing me through the glass wall from the 40th floor. Shaking myself from that horrible thought, I concentrated on other matters like floor. The marble columns and the furniture complimented each other very well. Precisely the whole floor gave both an intimidating and welcoming look.

He chuckled and went back to work.
Taking a deep breathe, I walked towards my destination. MSK's cabin. Knocking the door firmly, I entered when it was answered.
I looked up at the stunning man who was gazing at his file keenly. Oh my!! He is so sexy and hot. The pictures in net dint do any justice to describe this beautiful build.
I don't do interviews in hallways Mr. Mathew.
His voice startled my staring session. He looked amused as I it's a new thing. Oh yea!! Men don't stare men, rt? Once again straightening my back, and adjusting my specs, I walked towards his table confidently.
Good morning Mr. Khurrana.
He nodded and gestured me to take seat. How rude!
He went through my fake certificates and I took my time to study him. His chocolate brown eyes are beautiful but at the moment it looked distant and cold. The straight pointed nose and M shaped lips added more sexiness to his face. One can easily say that the broad shoulders and flexing tanned muscles under the business suit are the results of regular gym visits. I wonder why his ex betrayed such a stunning man. My eyes wandered back to eyes and I met an intent stare. I smiled at him awkwardly.

Surprisingly I sounded more confident and manly. Practice makes a man perfect!! He ran his fingers through hair which I find more sexy even in this complex situation.
Working with me will be difficult Mr. Mathew. I am quite demanding and efficient. I need staffs who work like me. U should be available to me 24X7. You think u can handle enough stress and workload?
He said eying my body suspiciously. Of course, he finds it amusing for a man to have such a small body.

He gave the file back and continued his work dismissing me.

Yeah, I know. Khurrana's offices are always done in a grand way. They should keep up their name.
Natural light flooded through the open windows. There is a large wooden 3 sided desk at the centre and a small couch at the corner. 2 chairs are placed on the other side of the desk. There is an iPad and a laptop placed for office use. A shelf full of neatly arranged files is placed on other side.
This is your phone and I have saved it with all the office staffs number along with MSK's.

Yeah. After all, you are his secretary. Remember to keep the phone switched on all the time. Here is your flat key and a car will drop you on and off anywhere. Tomorrow I will prepare your contract papers and give.

Hearing his words, I felt a little guilty. Here I am starting my new job with a big lie.

And that's what I am going to do.
Alex helped in my works and after 2 hours, I was able to do my works without any help. Since its my first day, Alex handled all the phone call and I studied the history of staffs here, in each dept. MSK's zone/top floor is female-free one and he interact with them only when needed. He thinks office romance is not healthy for professional life. I prepared notes for the meeting he is conducting tomorrow mailed it to my and Mr Khurrana's id.
After a long exhausting work, I felt the need to go to washroom. I have seen it at the other end of the hallways while Alex gave me a tour. Putting the system in sleep mode, I raced towards that direction. When I reached there, I saw one or two males lingering there. Oh no!! Obviously I have to go to men's washroom. I was about to turn back when a voice called me back.
Gautam, is that you?
I recognized the voice immediately. Its Reid from reception.
Man, where are you going?
He jogged towards me and placed his hand around my shoulder. Reid is taller than me. So I felt quite small and awkward since his body is touching mine. Adjusting the glasses, I tried to escape.
No. I have to go. I forgot to mail something.
Oh come on, you are working from morning. Take a break. I will introduce men over there.
Practically, he dragged me there and introduced them. There was one from finance, design section etc. I remember reading their job profiles. I nodded at each since that's what men do, right?
The washroom was quite spacious and numerous cubicle were present, each separated by glass wall. On the other side, there is a shower room, a large mirror with all men's toiletries. Suddenly I hear some unzipping the jeans and doing their business. I dint dare to turn and closed my eyes tightly to take my mind from imagining not so decent images.
Hey, Are you alright?
Yea. I am just doing my eye exercise.

U know, its good after gazing at system for long time.
They looked at me weirdly, but let it go.
I ran from there making up some excuse. God! That was so embarrassing.
Whole day, I dint get to see MSK as he was out with meeting clients. As it was my first day, he dint took me and told me to get familiar with Khurrana atmosphere. Driver dropped me off at the new flat, saying Alex has already shifted my belongings here. My flat was on 10th floor of 20 storied building.
Lee's innocent laugh echoed the whole floor and all my tiredness flew away. Its so soothing. Only one man can make her child laugh this much. Mike. Mike was tickling her stomach and making funny faces making her laugh wider.
Mommy missed u so much Angel.
Lee looked in my direction and stood up with the help of chair, and pointed a hand motioning me to pick up. Rushing to her, I cradled her in my lap and murmured sweet things.

Guiding her small hands, I helped her to tickle him, and he pretended whine making her more laugh.
The whole evening we spent the time together and I shared my first day happenings with him. He was laughing out loud when I mentioned washroom's incident. Later Alex too joined them and we all had a fun night together. it felt so good to have a normal life away from all the nightmares.
