Hello Geetians. I am a long time reader of this forum and now i have decided to take the plunge into writing. There are two reasons for taking this step 1) I want to improve my English 2) This story is bugging me for many days so I am itching to pen it down.

Actually the story is the one I wrote in my teens.Like all my others stories, this one never got completed, but it never really exit my system. When I close my eyes, I can still see the yellow pages and cover of the gigantic notebook.

Anyhoo, I decided to write that story again. IPKKND is my first love. I came to this forum ( IF) through Arshi. But then I discovered GEET and fell in love again. ( However stupid it may sound, but I had never watched GEET before I came to this forum. I am not a big fan of Indian soaps.) So love can happen twice 😛 But GEET is my eternal love. The acting is super, the chemistry is sizzling... but I don't need to say all that. There are more ardent fans here than me, and certainly some will tear me apart for mentioning IPKKND here ( which is a very bad copy of GEET, but the actors have done a marvellous job). So when I decided to write y story again, only MAANEET came to my mind as the lead couple.

Sorry, got side tracked... which will happen a lot here :)

Okay lets start

Heer's eyes were frantically searching for Ranjha. Her soul didn't want to leave her body without a last glimpse of her beloved. Each breath she took seemed to pierce through her body. She could hold no longer and heaved her last...

There was complete silence for a minute and then the hall thundered with cheers and applauses. The cast members came on the stage and bowed in front of the audience. Heer's eyes were still searching for somebody. When she found the person in the crowd, her eyebrows arched a little.Her questioning glance was met by a furious one and she knew she was in big trouble.

So how was it? Please share your thoughts. I am not going to put demands for likes or comments as I am a very irresponsible reader myself :)

Chapter 1

She came out of the dressing room which was adjacent to the stage. She was about to turn round the corner when Sudeepto called her. " Hey, you are coming to the party tonight, right?" "Of course yaar. Malini se maar thodi na khani hai." Smiling she turned to go, but stopped short seeing those eyes full of fire. She smiled meekly. " Did you like my performance?" " Stop it Geet. I came here taking the risk of being recognized and you are asking if I liked your stupid performance? You are making plans to party all night and here I have been having sleepless nights for the last one week."

Geet felt guilty and said ' Sorry Annie. You know Malini had planned this after show party for ages. But I will call Sudeep and refuse him. Let's go home." But Annie was no where near to be pacified. " No need to be so benevolent Ms. Heer, jao apne Ranjhe ke saath. Main apni problem khud solve kar loongi." Saying that Annie turned with a huff and left. Geet shook her head with a smile and went to look for Sudeepto.

When Geet entered Annie's room, she could hear soft sobs. She climbed the bed and lied down hugging Annie's back. Annie turned around and wiped her tears. " Geet you promised that you will do something. How can you be so calm and cool. Why haven't you thought of a plan to get me out of this mess." Though Geet wanted to chuckle, but the despair in her best friend's voice made her to compose herself.

" I have told you many times Annie. There is nothing to be afraid of. She is not going to eat you alive." Annie tore her hair in despair " And I have told you many times, you don't know her, I do. She is not what she shows. She is a witch ( her good manners didn't allow her to use the B word). I am telling you she is going to make my life hell."

" And how will she do that? She won't be living here and you will also go back to your hostel. You will meet her only rarely and I don't think she can do anything here when everybody is around." Annie sneered at Geet." Huh! Can't do anything when everybody is around! As if we haven't been meeting each other sneakily for the past seven years. Did anybody ever guess that we are friends? And she is way up our league Geet." Geet's heart pinched seeing her friend's distressed face. She could have done anything in her power to get her out of this misery. But she knew things were beyond her control. Why don't you tell your brother?'

Any guesses, what is Annie worried about?
