As much as the quiet, soft and caring Maan was lovable to me, I can not tell you how much I am enjoying this Maan. The DD, stubborn, curious, egoistic person! While the earlier one was like air - silent and mostly in the background but still firmly there - this one is like the moon - shining in a sea of darkness, illuminating the surroundings just by its presence, and unmissable! The fact that both these people are still there, the latter one shielding the earlier one in itself, is something which makes me immensely glad! 😃
With the previous chapter, I badly wished Maan would be there at Geet's ceremony and she would feel there is someone for her and half of my wish is fulfilled. I am very sure she'll find out about his presence at her ceremony soon enough and my whole wish will be fulfilled.
I especially liked the line "five years..." It summarised what their relationship has been for him. "A few steps behind her..." In my opinion, the day he matches her step, the day he eliminates the distance of those few steps between them will be the day they will finally feel complete.
It did shock me though, when he broke the thread. I didn't expect it but it happened, yet the more content part is, he had been wearing it all along and he won't find the courage to throw it away even if he now believes he has broken their ties with the thread. Bewaquf doesn't know relationships don't break by breaking a mere thread, even if that thread is symbolised to be the promise of their love!
I really liked Dev and Megha's khatta meetha rishta, and Dev's jealousy at not wanting to share his brother yet being unable to do anything about it. It's cute! 😆 And, I had to stop myself from almost screaming at the big discovery! I am so looking forward to what they're going to do now! 😃
The change from the Naintara Kapoor who kept a high wall around her so she won't have to deal with any kind of relationships even if it was of Tara Di, to that very Tara Di who seems to be a carefree, loving and open person, this change is almost unbelievable and yet I felt so happy to see the uptight Miss Kapoor shedding her walls, stepping forward and giving a sisterly hug to Geet.
Hey, did you even realise what a tempting picture you painted of Maan working late night? Concentrating in his work with sleeves rolled up... 😳
And the age old trick still works so well! I guess there's nothing more effective as jealousy to get a man to act as you wish he would! 😆 I love the smell of jealousy surrounding Maan here! How's he going to react when he finally comes face to face with his competitor? 😆
The only part of this chapter which had my teeth clenched and eyebrows furrowed was when the *put a good gaali in this place* appeared, as unabashedly as ever, looking out to ruin a girl's life just to quench his rapacious thirst! Be warned, Avi, I have very high demands from you for the man's punishment! And I can't write a few good gaaliyan here or trust me I would have!
Okay, a few deep breaths and I have calmed down.
Sharmeen and Bilal? 😃 Her presence reminded me of the oh-so-mesmerising "hi" from the last time! Can't seem to get over it stil! 😳
And what followed was what had me hooked completely! The all-black attire (❤️) and the beauty in white make for a perfect couple! There was one thing I remembered. At the start, the first walk they shared, they were both wearing these same respective colours. Back then, what Maan thought was how he blended in the darkness for her and how she stood out in her white dress. Now, even with black, he couldn't blend into the surrounding for her. Even in black, he stood out for her. The only difference from that time to this was her view, the way she saw him. And now that she sees him, he's all she can see! 😃
Geet's feelings of shyness mixed with desparation, of the long uncomplaining wait finally taking a toll on her patience, they were so natural and innocent. I absolutely loved he aankhon ki guftugu which happened before she landed in his arms. Or more like, he pulled her. What followed was written with quite an attention paid to detail! 😳
Amazing, Avi! And one thing I disagree with you is, you know how to write and not only write, write enchanting pieces! (Refer to Gehraiyan's thread to connect with this!)
Have never heard the song, but surely will!
Loved the chapter, Avi! You know how much because I'm here and commenting on the day you updated! 😃
