TV Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa gearing for a grand finale

Another season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa is coming to an end and judge Remo D' Souza is upbeat about the improving standard of the show. "In terms of sheer talent, this was the best season," says D'Souza naming Drishti Dhami and Shaan as the two non-dancers who made the biggest progress during the show.

"I believe Drishti, together with Lauren and Shonali are the top contenders for the title." Some people have found the physical intimacy in the choreography a little too much for the family audience. Remo says the intimacy is dictated by the dance form. "Some dance forms are more sensuous than others. I think it is all in the mind." The purists found comments like, "Oh! You learnt Bharatanatyam in a week" offensive but Remo justifies what Madhuri Dixit actually meant was Lauren learnt the steps required in the act in one week. "To learn Bharatanatyam you need several years. But I do feel such details about the dance forms should be explained to the lay audience."
