The Downpour... Part 66

Maan looked Geet surprised. "Mama wanted Geet to come back home! No .. it cant be possible!!!'' He turned to SD, "Dadima what have you talked her?''

SD was also surprised. She has talked Rano and made her understand the situation well then why suddenly she called Geet back!!'' she thought but did not want Maan to feel low, she smiled and said,

"Don't worry Beta, I have talked Rano and told her everything. She was upset before but after our talk she understood that it was not Geet fault''

"Then why did she call her back Dadima!!!'' Maan stood up in anger.

"I think I should leave'' Geet did not want to be witness of their discussion she excused to leave,

"Geet where are you going??'' Maan stopped her, When SD interrupted,

"Maan let her go for now Beta''..

Maan looked her and she blinked eyes in assurance. She turned to Geet, "Okay Geet you go and take some rest, and you don't need to take tension, oaky!!''

Geet tried to smile and moved head in yes. She left.

"Dadima how can you let her go alone you know she can't handle everything alone. You know after this news now media will follow her everywhere!!!'' Maan was very angry and disappointed.

"I know Maan beta. Don't take me wrong but just try to see things from her parents side, how they would be feeling seeing her daughter photo in newspaper. Their lives are very different from us Maan they don't have habit of living among media and all gossips. Give them time Maan I am sure, they will understand the thing''

She patted his face and smiled. Maan was though convinced yet he was not comfortable with the thought of sending Geet alone, to tackle everything alone. He decided something.

Geet was packing her bag. She was very upset and disappointed too with the turn of event. It seemed that everything was on verge of end in her life. She could sense that nothing was going to be good again with her, she did not want to leave Maan, she did not want to leave this house, her house. A strange fear was forcing her to feel fear that she would not able to come here again, meet Maan again, she was crying silently.

After finishing her packing she called Rano and informed her that she was coming back. Rano sensed Geet cry and her aloofness. A mother could not see her daughter crying, she consoled her saying,

"Geet Beta I trust you beta but I can't make you Papaji understand. You don't know but since the time your photo has been seen in paper hundreds phones calls have made our life like hell. I don't have any answer nor do we know anything. Its not expected Geet and we were not ready for this. It affected your Papaji health also that'

"What happened him Mama!!!'' Geet interrupted her in middle shocked..

"He is fine now Beta but I can't handle everything alone. I need you here Geet''

"You don't worry Mama I m coming. You and Papaji trust me I don't need anything more Mama!!!!'' Geet was relieved with after motherly consolation like the biggest burden had been removed from her heart. She wiped her tears. "Mama you please don't cry, I am leaving from here in few hours, you just take care Papaji''

"Haa Beta, you take care yourself also''

Geet disconnected call. But before she could keep phone on bed again she got many call from random friends. Again same words of congratulations and again same questions that 'was this news correct; she had to hear. In frustration she switched off her phone and threw on bed.

After some hours,

Geet dragged her bag downstairs. She had been waiting for Maan from every minute but he did not come for once even, that amazed her. She badly wanted to hug him and shed tears over his heart. She wanted him to come and stop her from going. She had no idea what Dadi said him, what they had talked in her absence. She had fear if SD would not accept their relation, she was scared and wanted Maan to make her fear free like always, with his pranks, with his love but he was not there for her.

She looked her phone, thought, "Perhaps he would have called me??'', In hope she turned phone on and checked, she had no message.

"Mai hi phone kar leti hu''

She dialled his number. It rung but Maan did not receive, her disappointment increased. Her heart said something was terribly wrong. She stepped toward Mansion with thudding heart.

She was in hall, looking around for Dadi or Maan but both were not there. she looked up to Maan room, gave a thought to go there and check and she steeped there. she was stood on door and pushed door little but room was empty. With worried face she came back down and saw Nakul, she asked,

"Nakul bhaiya, where is Dadima and Maan sir?''

Nakul said Maan is in study room and Dadima in her room. Geet nodded. With silent steps she went to study and saw there Maan, was busy on phone and she could hear his shout over it.

She heard everything standing on door. She guessed with the word he used that he was yelling on newspaper person. He was very engrossed in his call that did not see that Geet was there. After many minutes, he cut the call and turned back and witnessed Geet, completely fagged.

"Geet'''

He rushed her and took her in his secure arms.

"Are you okay!!'' He asked. Geet was silently resting her face over his chest. She could hear his loud heart beats but she was not sure what to reply!! "Was she okay??'' she questioned herself. She could not say truth that no.. she was not okay!! Nor could she tell lie because he would find out truth in no minute. She remained silent.

After many minutes of silent Maan released her, made her look him. He cupped her face and let his eyes travelled over her face.

"Don't worry, everything will be fine, Let's go!!''

She narrowed eyes in confusion, "Lets go??''

Maan smiled, "What did you think Geet, I would leave you alone??''

Geet was surprised, "Is he coming with me??'' she thought.

"Of course I am coming with you Jaan. Now don't waste time we have to leave'' he started dragging her with him,

She stopped him, "But Maan.. Dadima??''

"What Dadima Beta.. Dadima wants same Geet, how can I let my Bahu go alone ??''

Geet eyes widens when saw Dadi in front of her and she was smiling. Geet could not gather reality she was still puzzled.

"Geet beta, don't be surprised. I have no problem with this relation in fact It was my wish too!!'' Sd mouthed a kiss lovingly to Geet, "Don't take stress Beta, just go there. at this time your parents need you more and don't worry, I will come there in couple of days to talk them' SD winked, made Geet totally amazed with the brilliant nature of this old lady, she hugged her tight crying.

"Thank you Dadima..''

SD caressed her hair, she consoled her and after few minutes, she moved back wiping her eyes. She was happy, in fact very happy having these amazing people in her life. She cursed herself for thinking opposite about them even for a second. She smiled, after a long period in a day.

"Jaaiye beta, aur jaldi wapas aaiye!!'' SD lovingly kissed Geet head.

"Aur Maan take care of my Bahu okay!!''

Geet felt tickle hearing Bahu' word. She smiled in shy where Maan was happy to see Geet happy.

"Ji Dadi''

He said and both started travel to Geet home'
