Naintara let out the breath she was holding. He was moving on with Pari! While it pierced her heart it meant that he would be safe and out of Suraj's way. It also meant that she was free this evening, he would not be back at the apartment tonight. She had a secret mission that she wanted to complete. Knowing that he was out of harm's way, she would be able to easily slip out of town and be back before anyone noticed. Making up her mind, she crossed her fingers that he would leave early so she could get her mission completed.

"Dev Khurana here", he answered the phone. It was the detective agency whom he had hired to keep an eye on Naintara. The private detective following her had an emergency and would be gone for the night. They did not have a quick substitute but someone would be there quickly he was assured. He ignored the nagging feeling that the message gave him, too heartbroken to do more at this time.

I look away from him as I say "Pyaar kya hota hai, I am not sure. Maine bharosa kiya hai. Vishwaas kiya hai. For me that is what love is. Someone who is always there for me, with me at every step and for me there would be no one but him ever."

"Bharosa. Vishwas. Did he make promises to you Geet? Bohut tareef ki hogi about you, your beauty right? What happened then? I have never seen him around. Why did he leave? If he has done anything wrong, I will...", before he can say anymore, I clarify. "He never made any promises. Tareef? No, he never said anything to me".

"Never said anything? No promises? Yet you still have faith in him. Kyun? Why are you still waiting for him? He has moved away and you are still here", Dev is confused by me.

He dusted the snow off his hair and coat before opening the door to the townhouse. It was open like she said it would be. The sound of her ghungroos caught his ears and he smiled. She was practicing again. He stood near the entrance to the living room watching her elegant twirls. She saw him and stopped with a flourish.

"Maan, you are covered with snow. Let me get you a towel", Sameera ran towards the bathroom before he could protest.
