Past

In the Khurana Mansion around 9 at night, an old lady was sitting in her room with a tensed wrinkled face when she didn't get any response for her call just as the last couple of days.

Geet phone kyun nahi uta rahi hai, humesha toh ek hi ring mein uta lethi hai...sab teek toh hai na where the thoughts that was ringing in her mind and just then her restlessness was brought to end by her bahu.

Geet: Hello Dadi...was all she could say before cut off by a panicked voice

Dadi: Geet aap aur Maan teek hain naa...aur apne hume itne din phone kyun nahi kiya

Geet: Dadi hum bilkul teek hai, aap pareshan mat hoyiye

Dadi: arre pareshan kaise na ho...ek toh apne hume itne dino se phone nahi kiya aur toh aur aap aur Maan apna phone bhi nahi uta rahe

Geet (closes her eyes in dismay for a sec and says in a low voice): Sorry dadi

Dadi (sensing her low and almost lost voice says): Beta sach mein sab teek hai naa...agar koi pareshani hai toh aap hume bata sakti hai...

Geet (couldn't control herself and starts sobbing): Dadi...woh...woh

Dadi: Shh Geet...aise nahi rote Geetu... dadi can't see her grand daughter-in-law crying so badly as she was very much attached with her...her bubbly nature, freshness and happiness that her talks bring made her close to Geet in no time and even her health improved a lot. Her heart was at peace too knowing that Maan has got such a good, loving and caring life partner.

Seeing her nowhere to stop dadi asked only one thing that could possibly be as she cannot think Geet to be upset for anything else ...kya Maan ne apko kuch kaha

Geet (between her hiccups): Na...Nahi

Dadi: Geet apko humse kuch bhi chupane ki zarurat nahi...hum Maan ke gusse ko jante hai

Geet: Nahi dadi unhone kuch nahi kaha...sachhi dadi babaji ki kasam

D: Teek hai geet iss baar hum apke baat mante hai says dadi with a deep sigh as she knows her bahu madly loves her pota and is a big chamchi of him and wouldn't hear a word against him or say anything even if he yells at her unnecessarily but was so nave that she always used to get trap in her plannings but this time she cannot do even that as she can't bear to hear her sobs anymore.

Geet agar aap nahi batana chahte toh yeh sahi per aap ab toh mat royiye, pata nahi apna kya haal bana rakha hai

Aap tension na lo dadi mein bilkul teek hoon said geet who has by now somehow controlled herself from her pain for dadi's sake.

Hmmm...was all dadi could utter with heavy breathing, which alerts geet

Dadi aap...apki tabiyat toh teek hai na

D: Ab apse kya chupana beta...humari BP thodi se low hogayi thi, isliye hospital agaye the kal raat...but knowing Geet will be hell worried continues immediately saying...par ab ghar bhi wapas jaa rahe hai, bas thodi se tiredness hai aur woh bhi thodi rest se chali jayegi

G: Aap sach keh rahi hai na dadi

Haan beta aap chinta mat kijiye aur haan hum nakul ko wahan bhej rahe hai

Dadi uski koi zarurat nahi hai aur hum dono bilkul teek hai, aap chinta mat kijiye

Geet hume kuch nahi sunna iss bare mein

Par dadi nakul ki zarurat apko hai iss waqt..mom aur dad bhi bahar gaye huye hai aur iss halat mein aap akele...bilkul nahi, aur mein bhi kal subah hosiarpur ke nikal rahi hoon

Geet aap yaha nahi ayengi samjhi aap...jaise humne kaha ab hum bilkul teek hai aur humara decision nahi badlega

Par dadi...

Mein apki koi baat mannewali nahi hoon geet

An anxious geet blurts: Par dadi Maan toh thode se gussa hai aur mein sab sambhalungi sachhi

Whereas on the other side Dadi is grinning that she finally getting to hear what she really wants to, but was worried at the same time as to how one can be angry on such a sweetheart. She believes in Geet's abilities to smother down her grandson's anger, but that does mean she is going to back off. She really wants to know if everything is fine between Maan and Geet as Geet always convinces her to not send anyone or come by herself saying everything is fine, but she once wanted to see it and satisfy herself about it, but due to health she cannot do it and so wanted to send Nakul, her most trustable person, to know about Maan and Geet.

Mujhe pata tha...pata nahi unhe itna gussa kyun aata hai agar koi unki nahi sunne toh

Ofooo dadi maine kaha na unhone kuch nahi kaha...actually unka gussa sahi bhi hai, maine unki baat nahi suni aur ulta do-chaar baatein suna diya aur woh gusse mein kisse tour pe chalegaye aur mera phone bhi nahi uta rahe said Geet who by now has gotten some control over her emotions and was trying to do damage control made in her anxious state.

On the other side, it was hard to conclude how dadi felt hearing her bahu because one side she was happy that everything was in open now and she did not even have to put any efforts, disbelief as someone really has answered the MSK, worry for Geet and all the more angry on Maan for being so irresponsible, but a bit satisfied too (but why, you guys will know it soon)

Dadi...dadi...aap sun rahi hai na...dadi

Haan...haan beta

Nakul ki apko zyaada zarurat hai dadi...please aap meri baat maan lijiye aur mein bhi aap se milne aarahi hoon naa...

Nahi Geet...hum apna kayal rakh sakti hai aur yahan aur bhi naukar hai aur sabse badi baat apke mom-dad bhi aaj wapas ajayenge, so akeli nahi rahungi...aur kyunki mein unhe pareshaan nahi karna chahti Nakul ko wahan bhej rahi hoon

Geet at the end agreed to dadi as she does not want to strain her more with her problems in this condition of hers and hung up the call after taking a promise from Dadi to not to stress over this matter and take care of herself.

Next morning brought happiness with it for Geet when she saw Maan in the dining hall reading newspaper while having his coffee as always. At first, it was hard to believe as she always seen Maan just to disappear in a few seconds from the day he took off from home in anger, but then when she saw him moving towards her while looking intently a small whisper, Maan, escaped from her lips and a sweet smile adorned her pinkish petal like lips.

Maan on the other hand sensed her presence way before she has seen him...her scent is so enthralling that he could easily say its her and the moment he saw her he felt real calm but then it turned into anger within no time as he realized what he saw when he entered the house in the early morning, which he really hardly trying to maintain as her smile was making his heart light freeing all the tensions along with melting him with the glow on her face, but the anger as always overpowered everything
