With all the smiling faces and the reflective chandeliers, I moved towards the priest. I was moving to a stage with no groom. I quizzingly looked around to search for his face but he wasn't there. My heart started to pound and my eyes started to well up. My mum could sense the uneasiness and joined my father.
" Geet, why are you worrying he's stuck in traffic, he'll be here soon. Beta just relax"
I was gently placed near the fire and made to wait

The wait turned from minutes to hours. Was this another of his practical jokes, my heart sank rapidly. From a far distance, the lights of a car shone, at once I got up to open the door. I knew he loved me. I opened the door and hurried towards stony path. I hurriedly knocked on the drivers window. Why was he coming out?
The window slowly unravelled Shane instead of Ryan. Sorry Geet Ryan told me to leave this for you. I'm so sorry. What did he mean by sorry?
Everything was just confusing, I made my way back towards the stairs, when I finally opened the letter

Dear my loving Geet,

I'm sorry for having to do this to you. I have found someone else, I thought loving you would erase her memories. I love her not you and as your best friend I can't hurt you. I woke up to a smiling waitress. It took me a while to understand what she was saying.
" A latte please with little sugar and some cinnamon"
She placed it gently on the placement near me and left. How much had I left behind. I quietly sipped on my latte when an announcement was made.
" The next station approaching will be our final destination. Please have your boarding passes ready for check in. We will be arriving shortly at Gare du Nord.
