A/N: Thanks to all my readers for your support. Never thought my OS idea would reach so far. Thread 6 it is..😃
I did promise a Maaneet part next but the teaser is the part of the last chapter that I had left incomplete.
The rest of the update will be Maaneet.
TEASER
She had not seen him all morning. Roundly blaming it all on Geet she rubbed her nervous hands on her pants as she placed her lunch box on his desk. Geet with her weird philosophy of thank you's. "I hope you know how hard this is for me", she thought. It was going totally against her nature to do this but she had to do it to quiet her Bambi.
She placed the envelope with the money he must have paid for the doctor and prescriptions under the lunch box. There were a lot of small notes that she had to put in since she did not have time to go to the bank. It was close to lunch time anyway and she wondered if he would make it to the office today at all. Seeing him walk towards the office all of a sudden, she was flustered and hid behind the door. Great timing, Sir! She wanted to leave before he came but here he was, totally confusing her as usual.
He stopped as he walked in and looked at the lunch box on his desk. It only served to remind him of all he had done wrong. He walked over to the window deciding how he wanted to deal with this. She took the opportunity to slip out and run into the adjoining empty office. She observed him through the connecting window as he came to his desk.
His lips curled at the sight of the envelope. That was so much like her, fiercely independent. He opened the lunch box and saw his favorite alu-tamatar ki sabzi and masala pooris. She had doubled the lunch she normally made so that he would not be left hungry.
Her eyes melted as she watched him dig into the food hungrily. Her face curled into a smile as he licked his fingers.
As Dev happily finished the lunch and washed up, another pair of eyes that had been watching the interchange decided to step in.
"Dev beta! Aaj hum aap ke saath lunch karenge.. Bohut dinon ke baad aap ko apne haathon se khilane ka mann kar raha hai..", Savitridevi chimed as she brought a large lunch bag in with her.
