The Downpour... Part 13

"Why are you worrying for me now? It was you who had hurt me when I was living my life peacefully. You ruined my peace, my life for a whole year and now, came here asking why I fear you?????''

Geet's words were rolling inside Maan's mind. He tried hard to understand the meaning she stated, anything which he could connect with, but failed. Every alphabet seemed alien. It deepened to the core that his self- ability to think, started lowering down in frustration. He wanted his answer back in any case!!

"I would meet her. I want to know why she said that. Why she fears me. Damn I never saw her before never met her then how she can blame me like this!!!!!! ''

His banged on table in frustration that the guy sitting in front of him drew back suddenly.

"Sir, are you okay???'' He asked closing down the file they were discussing over.

Maan came back in sense. He looked around then him then file on table and composed himself.

"You can go now. We will discuss it tomorrow''

Guy nodded and left. Maan rested head on chair-back and tried to cool his mind. He wanted to be relaxed but how???

His phone rang. It was reminder call from Annie for party which he had almost forgot due to all occurrences. Though he did not want to go but thought it might be good for him for forgetting everything, he agreed.

"Geet you stay here I come to meet my friends. May be they can help us''

"Asha. why don't we talk to our parents? They can help us better'' Geet suddenly got idea and suggested.

Ash became tensed. "No Geet please don't call them. If my parents get to know about this they definitely would call me back!!! They were always against of my decision of living alone in an unknown city and now, if they will know that how worst could have happened with us, at any cost they will not allow me to stay here. I don't want to go back Geet please try to understand!!! You don't need to worry at all I will definitely do something but promise me you will not tell anyone. Neither my nor your parents.. Promise me please Geet''

Though Geet was not convinced but she did not want Ash to leave her dream just because of her, she agreed. Ash left saying will try to get back home soon. Geet was not keeping well. She had fever but did not tell Ash. She did not want to become burden on her for further. She was still scared but thought to take some sleep till Ash is back.

Maan entered in disc with his full attitude. It was a known fact that in spite of facing worst hardship in life, it never could be seen on his face. He would never leave any chance, people to throw question on him about his private life. And same he was trying to maintain now.

He enjoyed party with full zeal. He smiled with Annie and chatted with Arjun. Some offered him drink that he took and some girls came for dance that he refused. It was not common hearing about him to be tagged with anyone so easily. He was the person who used to select the best for him, be it in any genre of life. He was the king of his territory and always had been maintaining this position with his strong effort, not letting anyone to ruin his skill.

But seemed, today Geet had entered in his domin without any knock. He felt his efficiency of keeping things preserved, were reaching on peak that his shield could be exposed to the world. He was happy when had entered but slowly everything had started annoying him. He wanted to be calm but this loud music and crowd were not letting him do.

"Bhai what happened, why are you standing here silent???'' Annie asked. Maan was stood in a less-crowded corner of hall.

"Nothing Annie I was just tired. I think, I need to be fresh!!!' He excused to go restroom and left from there.

He was stood in front of mirror of lavatory. In mirror he could see Geet reflection, crying and uttering those words!!! He turned back at once. "Why the hell she can't leave my mind!!!!!''

He felt like scream.

Someway gaining his compose he came out of washroom and began to go back in party when his eyes fell on a girl. He felt her familiar. She was drunk and was dancing with boys.

"Asha?''

Maan surprised to see her here at this late night!! He searched for Geet around but could not locate her.

"Is she alone in home??'' he started worried.

"So what Maan let her live alone!!! Why the hell do you need to be worried for her!!!!'' His mind yelled.

"Hmm,, right. I shouldn't be worried for that mad girl'

Thinking he left to party and let him-self swim with the flow. A girl offered him for dance. Maan agreed. He had to forget Geet, her every memory. They started tapping their foots on song was being played but he was still not able to concentrate.

"But what if, those men come back again!!! She is alone. What if something bad happens….'

He could not think further. His mind stopped him and heart started hastily to go and check her.. Only for once!!

Failing with his own arguments he decided just once to meet her.

" Hm!! That way I could ask her everything why did she say that''

He excused saying has to leave for meeting early morning and took way toward Geet flat.

In very next hour he was stood before her home and knocked. He heard her voice from inside asking "Who's there??'' He thought, he heard her voice was cracking!!

"Was she crying???' then kept aside every concern, he knocked again saying he's Adi..

"I know you would not let me come inside knowing I'm Maan but Geet I need to talk you at any cost!!'

His trail of thoughts got an halt when heard door unlocking sound and then he saw something bright and shinning in front of his eyes. As door been little ajar, Maan noticed intense brightness on her face then noticed a burning candle in her hand. Then he realized that there was power cut in area.

"Adi Sir you this time..''

As Geet was to speak more, she saw, it was not Adi but Maan and Maan heard her loud rapid breathes came out in reflex! She hurried to shut door but Maan stopped it and jumped inside shutting door behind not letting Geet be understood what had went on in a moment and when she knew, her mind began to retreat. She shouted when Maan held her waist and pulled to him and covered her mouth keeping hand on it.

"Chup… Don't dare to shout!!!!!'

And candle dropped on floor from her hand turning its flame into smoke..

Precap : "Shut up Geet just shut up !!!! How dare you to blame me for the deed I cannot think even in my worst dream!!!''

He was shocked with her accuses ...
