He rushed inside handa haweli slamming his car door screaming geet's name, maan knew geet was in trouble. She is hi rooh!! His life!! But the game of destiny led him to separate himself from his love, his life. Geet has always loved him more than anything, more than anyone could imagine. But when he saw rano maa sitting in the hall checking on the wedding invitations, his anger rose to peak. God when he could grasp his geet's condition being so far away from her?? Why could not her own mother sense it?? Even though geet's words did seem silly to him whenever she mentioned rano loves him rather than her now those words piercing him now donno as to why!!

While rano was immersed in the cards maan rushed into geet's room, he found her lying on the floor and appeared to be asleep. Maan checked her body franatically, he shook her trying to wake her up but the coldness scared him. He held her wrist, couldn't sense the pulse. That all confused him so much, she seemed fine but her body was telling something else. He picked her up and made his way down, that was when rano saw geet in maan's arms. The sight only irked her, how foolish a mother can be?? She was thinking of it in an other angle when her own daughter was slipping into the deep sleep from where she can never come.

Where are you taking my daughter maan?? Put her down!! Its not funny anymore, I said leave her, rano tried to hold maan's arm. He moved away from her not letting the woman to touch him.

She is dying ... sun rahi hona aap she is dying and you were busy down with your work, I have always felt that you loved your daughter no!! You never did. Agar aisa hota toh geet ki yeh haalat nahi hui hoti, saying so maan rushed to the hospital. Blood began to ooze out from her mouth, making maan even more scared. She held onto him sensing his touch on her hand, which clutched to her. Geet was sure he will come, her rooh will call him. She somehow relaxed her body on him, maan did not speak but only accelerated the car more. He didn't know how he managed reaching the hospital, picking up geet in his arms he made way towards the reception. That was when geet be head of the words she wanted to tell maan, she had no complaints ... I am gonna die maan jinda hi kab thi jo ab aap mujhe bachana chahte hain?? ... Just shut up geet maan roared calling onto the doctor. She was nowhere to stop, My hopes to live with you died down long back maan and I don't intend it anymore ... Bas ek aakhri baar aapke bahon mein sona tha hamesha ke liye, she felt her eyes closing yet she fought ... Pata hai mama says I am lucky having you in my life, I wanted to live being yours!! But I know that cannot happen I cant be anybody else's maan papa ne meri shaadi kisi aur ke saath ussi din ... she pulled him holding his shirt ... I can die being yours haina maan?? I know you love me!! Only you do not even my parents!!

Geet struggled when she was placed on the stretcher, she was not leaving maan. But the energy she had in her body was going down every moment. Geet lost her senses, his eyes saw her lashes fluttering, fighting to keep them open. His patience broke seeing her that way, so weak and vulnerable

How could you do such thing geet?? Ek baar bhi nahi socha ki jis insaan ke liye tumne apni jaan lene ki koshish ki hai he is moving on leaving you back?? He didn't expect this from his strong misti, he understood that she is strong only with him being around her. He then felt geet struggling for breath!! His heart almost stopped, he slapped her cheeks again and again madly ...... geet!! geet!! Breath dammit!! Saans lo!! He screamed, she gulped gathering herself trying to be tough ... Saans kis ke liye loon maan?? Jabse maine apne saans ko jaana tabse yeh saans sirf aapke ho chuke!! Ab nahi hota mujhse aapke bina yeh jindagi meri ... Meri nahi rahi ... My body, My eyes are not listening to me!!

His eyes bled as geet's hand left his!! His rooh!! He didnt know when she will be back to him all normal.

That was when geet's parents came down. More than rano mohinder was scared coz rano knew maan will never let anything happen to his geet. Mohinder did want to ask maan about the condition of his daughter, but noticed maan sitting on the floor sinking down by the sofa as the doctors led geet into the ICU. His love, his care everything seemed so tiny infront of maan's sorrow. How wrong he had been all the time with his view on maan. He had been screening himself from geet's pain, he is the reason for geet to be in that condition. He never liked maan but still he agreed for his daughter, when maan ditched geet mohinder couldn't take it. His big fat ego has made her land into such situation. He felt proud on one side and on the other side he was sure that maan will save his geet.

After an hour the doctor came out ... she is fine!! We cleaned her stomach but she will remain asleep till morning, Make sure that she doesn't stress herself he said while mohinder patted maan's shoulder, he knew it was already late on him to realize the facts better late than never he thought ... we are leaving you with her maan bas meri beti ko jinda rakho.

That was shock to maan, but he was in no condition to think of anything other than geet. He held geet closer, with guilt eating him up. Had he explained geet about aditi she would not have taken such big step. It was only geet who understood him, late night geet opened her eyes to find her hand entangled into maan's. He was sleeping beside her on the bed, she kissed his forehead and drifted to sleep as her body was not helping her to move.

In the morning geet saw a note on the table beside her, her hands shivered to open it still she did. Geet knew who wrote it, she wondered why was she alive?? For whom?? She wanted to die, that strong feeling was not letting her to think rationally. If she cant be maan's, there was no reason for her to live, there was no reason for her to breath. She read the letter with those droopy eyes,

I should have told you the reason, agar aise karta toh yeh din na aata geet. I didn't had the courage to say this directly to you, iss liye ... Munshi ji toh yaad hai na geet?? Aditi is his daughter, he had done so much for khurana family. He saved my father's life once and three days back history repeated, I was so happy that you will be mine misti. But the incident that night!! I wanted to come home as soon as possible, tumhara karvacauth than na. Munshi ji has asked me for a lift, I didn't know that the lift will cost a life. On the way back home, I saw few people trying to force a girl. I stopped my car to save her, I began to fight with them ... didn't notice that someone aimed me from back. To save me munshiji tried to shield, instead they hit him, mujhe bachate bachate he lost his life. But he had taken a promise that night before he breathed his last, he was worried for aditi unke bina woh ladki kya karti!! He could trust no one, he asked me to marry her for saving my life. It was a burden on me geet, wada kiya tha maine unhe kya karta?? Majboori thi meri!! I couldn't tell you the truth, I thought you will move on with anger par tumhe toh gussa karna bhi nahi aata gussa kiya toh bhi khud par!! I am bound with the promise, I wanted you to hate me. Why cant you hate me misti?? Why do you love me so much without expecting anything?? Tumse dur nahi reh sakta, tumhare paas bhi nahi aa sakta!! Karun toh kya karun?? Hate me and move on thinking I betrayed you for a girl but please never repeat this again!!

NOTE:

Maan wanted geet to hate him thinking that he cheated on her for other girl but geet committed suicide so he thought it was better on him to tell her his helplessness. Probably that will make her understand that he has to move on!! Atleast geet will not do the same she did once!! I hope you understood maan's POV
