Part 57

Geet was sleeping peacefully, somewhere due to tiredness of previous day also but Maan had no sleep anymore. He was still awake whereas almost three hours of night had passed. Everything was roaming inside his mind like fresh. He wanted to know why Geet was in that brutal condition when had been found. Looking at her calmly sleeping his heart filled out with so much affinity that how can anyone try to harm her? His temper started to raise high even with the think that if someone would have tried to hurt her, his heartbeat became fast.

Geet got her eyes open hearing his loud heartbeats. She stirred little then moved back at once thinking if he got any trouble but then been relaxed finding him sleeping calmly. Maan was acting like sleeping when saw her stirring. Geet moved back, how she was sleeping close to him' she thought and blushed. Slowly sat up and examined him that "is he okay!'

His face was calm though mind was unquiet which Geet could not see. She brings hand near his face and caressed it so gently, not to disturb him but least did she know that Maan was enjoying it. Her touch was healing his anxiety.

Slowly she slipped out from there and stood up, turned to go but as she took first step, found her hand was still in his. With smile she tried to take it out but his hold was so tough to be pulling out. She went near and checked if he was really sleeping or awake but Maan eyes were closed. Geet was having tough time to be near him remembering how they had shared proximity just few minutes before. She twisted her hand, gently tried many times but every attempt failed and then saw smiles on his face. In jolt she pulled hand out and glared him.

Maan peeped opening his one eye. Seeing her stood fuming, with crossing arms and tapping foot on floor speedily, he straighten up and smiled.

Geet- what!!!!' rigidly

Maan- What!' innocently

Geet- what was you doing!!

Maan- nothing!! Why! Did you feel something?'' he smirked

Geet- Maan!! Do you know you are ill….

Maan- And I should take rest. Geet I know it, and you don't need to get me remembered it again and again okay!!'' He made angry face and closed eyes in force.

She felt guilt. Slowly comes to him and called his name but Maan did not respond. She again called but Maan was real angry this time, he turned his face other side. "

"Maan'' she sat next to him.

"Maan idhar dekhiye na!' she softly spoke and held his face to turn. "Sorry!!'' she said.

Maan melted but then thought to fake this anger for more, just to make her talk to him, to tell everything.

"Geet I am sleeping. You just go from here as you wanted to do''

"But Maan I didn't want to go I just wanted you to take rest so...''

"So!! So what Geet!! Every time you do this only. Never listen me and do what you want and wish.

But what I did without your permission Maan!!'' she was shocked with his sudden change of behaviour. Why he was making big issue of their love fight, she couldn't guess out.

"You did Geet'

''No I never did I can't even think it Maan..

"Then why did you go HP without telling me..''

"I had called you, tried many times but it was not connecting''

"Why didn't you wait for me Geet!! Why didn't you trust me that I could go with you'' He said being frustrated.

"So I could protect you Geet to keep you safe from everything which given you suffer'' he thought. His heart was like crying to remember her condition in dark night.

Geet became quite. Maan confined her with his gaze. She looked his eyes. She saw his eyes wanted something from her but that she just could not give him. She didn't know what to say. Which truth could have told and what, had to veil on.

"Why you were running like that Geet??'' He stood up and came closer. She did not move back alike she had no energy. The thing she had been escaping from most finally came out, which she never had expected this soon would happen. Geet was not prepared for this question nor could say Maan truth in his ill condition and knew well that Maan will not stop now. She shivered inward.

In Hoshiyaarpur,

"Where is Geet Brij!!!'' Dev shouted clutched Brij collar in anger.

Collar chor Dev!!!'' Brij glared him with intensity but Dev was not ready for it. His hold got tighter and both were equal in their own way. Rano and Daarji got scared seeing them being violent; they tried to come in between but failed.

"Leave me Dev otherwise you will have to face same what your that brother is suffering from''

Dev eyes widen in shock. He could not believe what Brij said. "It mean- it mean it was you -- behind bro accident!!!''

Brij smirked brutality. Dev pushed Brij gravely "Why did you do this Brij!!'' he shouted. Before Brij could fight back they heard knock on door. First they did not reply but within time duration knock was becoming louder.

Brij pushed Dev back in force and came to shout on whoever it was. As door unfastened little Brij eyes got wider seeing who that was and he locked door back hurriedly. His body started sweating; he pushed hair back in tension. Giving a brutal glance to Dev and Rano he runs toward backyard and escaped jumping from high wall of Haveli.

Everyone there got shock by his action and Dev went to see who it was as meanwhile visitor had started braking door vigorously. As Dev unlocked it, force of police rushed inside, pushing door aside and started finding for Brij.
