Hey Maggie..I don't know how I found this Story but I couldn't stop myself to read it whole in one go..Its worth spending my whole Sunday in reading this story..I loved the way you portrayed lives of many people in a single story..I started reading it by thinking it would be Maaneet Fan Fiction but its more about Esha, Naina and Geet Friendship, Maan's Family, Vicky, then Maaneet..mindblowingly superb work, keep it up ..

I also have questions lol are you going to continue the story? I mean there are still open questions eg. what is the future of Maaneet? Besides, wheres actually Naina? Wheres Sameer? They parted their ways but what happened with them? Why is Maan so reluctant to fall in love, because of his missunderstanding with his ma? Hope to get these answers soon..

It will be a great if you will continue it...desperately waiting...

The source of the sound she heard was coming from a video that was playing in the room, but what left her immobile was the man, who had his head bowed, and from whose arm was blood dripping onto the clean floor, forming a small pool there.

It might be her instincts, which asked her to move away the moment she saw his head jerk at her direction. She waited with a bated breath, without moving, and knew he hadn't seen her. And she hoped he wouldn't see her.

Being a witness to someone's vulnerable state would wound their pride and she didn't want to cause him anymore wounds than he already seemed to have...

Her parted lips whimpered as her felt her mumble something incoherently. He felt a stab in his heart at the sight, he knew not why.

He wasn't a man who was affected by tears in anyone's eyes. He disliked them for the sole reason that they are shed by the weak. He believed tears made people weak. Then why does her tears made him weak? Why does his hands itch to wipe those offensive tears off her face, he knew not but he did that with the pad of his thumb, and he felt a tenderness seep into him as he saw her countenance change slowly. He saw her whimper again as her hands clutched his and pulled them closer to her face, a simple act which pulled him closer, making him hear her murmur.

In midst of all this, he forgot he needed care too...

Care...

What was it?

As he looked at the band aid and a remembered something...a flash of someone's eyes...tearful and hurt...her eyes.

He didn't need anyone's care or pity.

He didn't need her sympathy.

He removed each finger of his from the band aid as he opened his fist. He saw it flutter violently. If not for the weight of his little finger on it, it would have fled away by now.

How simple is it to leave it, to let it go... he didn't need it anyway. He didn't want it.

But...

His eyes darted towards the university that is just a quarter mile away from his site and is quite visible from the point he was standing. The very university where he dropped her...where she was at this moment...

"Sir"

His reverie broke as he heard his secretary call up to him, and he unconsciously fisted his hand and pushed the crumpled band aid in his back pocket without any conscious effort.

He hadn't let it go this time...
