I've got a lot on my mind after reading this, mixed feelings towards what has transpired.

It really all did turn 180-degrees. To look at the situation from either of their views, it was definitely very very hurting, and it's easy to let guilt take over for hurting the other. But if I look at it as a third person, I can't seem to say either of them is at fault. They're humans and they make mistakes. Especially Maan. Even though he isn't as verbal as he should be with his wife on things like complimenting her or asking her what she's thinking, his anger made him jump the gun and yell to her face whatever first thing came to his mind. It isn't for fun that they say one shouldn't open his mouth when he's angry!
Hmm... this third person view was very good. And did show that soemwhere something was lacking from both thier sides... You noticed it shows that you really are QoC... 😊Yup anger is ones biggest weakness... Maan did & spoke things blinded by anger...
I feel really really sympathetic for Geet. Expectations always hurt. She expected her husband to remember their anniversary, there's nothing wrong with it. She expected him to treat her special and be happy with her on this day, she has all rights to it. But she forgot something important. It's better to step in the front and clear out anything that may cause some misunderstanding. Her only mistake I found is to not tell him about their special day. To not remind him, to be precise. If she had told wished him the previous night rather than expecting him to understand why she kissed him, all of this could've been avoided. If she's forced him to listen to what she had to say, if only she'd let him rant his irrational anger out before she herself told him to the point what was special about the day.
Hmm... Geet also had her own follies and you would know why she did things that way... I'm not saying she wasn't wrong, yes she too was wrong in her relation that led to so out of proportion blown out issues..
For Maan, I can't blame him really. To put myself in his shoes, I'd have been upset on not being able to love up to a promise I made to a special person. But only one thing went wrong here was he didn't give her a chance to speak, let her explain what actually the matter was.
Yes we sometimes just don't have time to listen to others we keep ranting out without giving a listening ear...
Theirs is the case of miscommunications. They haven't expressed openly to the other what they felt and what they wanted to say and this was what created the wall between them. This was what hurt the two to an unbearable point.
Hmm ... this is what was intended to come out in the update... glad I could do it.. 😊
Two things I'm most looking forward to: what was in the contract that Maan didn't want Geet to read it, and the other thing, dreadfully is, what more went wrong. He has apologised - which is totally not enough - but still things went further wrong...
You will know soon... Hopefully I will be able to update this weekend... 😊

I do not judge or blame Maan though I admit he is wrong here. I do not blame him because we all have some faults with us, our innate characteristics which make us react the way we do. For someone it is unreasonable anger, for someone stubbornness, for someone DQ-giri (Pun intended)😆

Hmm.. yes hurt is something that only a loved one can cause you... As we ourselves give them that right as no one else matters. Yes anger & impulsivity are his characteristics... but at the same time he loves Geet a lot... Its just that he was blinded by anger...

And so he is angry, and furious naturally so when he almost lost something important to him, and which he promised to be a surprise for her.
As he admitted, it is devastating for him that he failed her at some level. So, his disappointment at himself was let lose and he lashed out at her. It might be his twisted form of logic, but oh well.
I do not entirely blame him because he was not totally unreasonable too. I thought he would be rude when he picked up her call. He wasn't. Then I thought he will snap when she asked why he wasn't complimenting her? Honestly, had I been in his place, I would have.
I have a friend who expects and asks me why was I not complementing on some inane thing like a new dress or whatever when I am in neck deep work and I generally snap at her, and of course I will say sorry with puppy dog eyes later😆 that's besides the point, but I was amazed that he kept his personal life slightly away from professional crisis until of course there was a reminder.I guess I already answered that above... 😆 But yes very true... you actually got a gist of his characteristics... 😊
As I already told you, I like the strength of character this Geet exhibits. No OTT lines, no typical bollywoodish behavior, just simple way to show she's hurt, and simple way to show she want to move on with this, though she knows that some scars take time to heal.

Glad you like her here... She along with Maan will have to take steps to resolve it all... 😊
