My eyes shed tat tear tat was longing to prove tat Maan Singh Khuranna was wrong. My eyes burned with my tears but this burning sensation was not stronger tat wat my heart felt by seeing her. There she sat amongst all her family, relatives and friends but all alone in tat crowd lost somewhere in the past. A moment of past tat her heart had sealed inside it. I wiped my tears and slowly walked towards her but the moment she looked at me, I burned in misery. Misery tat my heart and soul felt, my legs did not have the strength to walk and I averted my gaze from her walking away quickly but where did I know tat I would be asked the same question again when I met my Mom, Priya who though very angry on me but her eyes filled with pain to see my love in pain. She slowly traced by cheek trying hard to hide those tears from me.

Priya: When will she smile Maan?

I looked deep into her eyes; asking the same to my reflection in them "When will she smile" but I did not have the answer.

I walked further when I heard her say again with a choking voice.

Priya: Aaj Sangeet hain.. And in 2 days it's your wedding. How will you marry her Maan when she is just a dead soul?

My heart pierced with her words while my whole body shivered realizing tat it was our Wedding, My Mishti's Dream Wedding but I had shattered it into pieces with my own hands. I was so lost in my pain tat I failed to see another heart bearing the same pain like me when I felt a hand gripping mine. She was our Naina, the shareholder of my all secrets tat even Geet never knew tat Naina knew about our love since the very beginning. I turned and my heart broke further looking at her, who though dressed like an angel, was all broken with no smile on her lips. My heart ached seeing our little Angel, My Geet's sister but more of mine trying hard to smile like me. I pulled her into my arms trying to soothe the pain only to hear her say.

Naina: Jij' I want my Di back.

How m I suppose to console her heart when I myself did not know when I would get her back. I tried to say something but my eyes stared at soul who though near was very far from my reach.

Naina: Why did we do tat Jij?

Maan: Its me Sweetheart, only me, and m sorry to take your Di away from you.

I said trying hard to suppress my pain but how. Was it so easy to undo wat I had done with my Mishti. My whole family suffered with one single prank tat was played just to tease my Mishti knowing how sensitive she was. Knowing tat she would not be able to understand tat I was pulling her leg and this was the biggest thing in my life tat I wanted her to know. My Geet she knew me from in and out, she knew when I would be unhappy but she always failed to understand my pranks and knowing the truth tat she will break I did the biggest grave mistake in my life.

Naina: Jij.. Maa..

I looked at the direction Naina wa pointing and saw Maa (Rano) calling me and Naina to her. I shook my head denying her but her eyes pleaded me to come but my heart who was beating there next to her sat numb. I could see all her cousins teasing her in their own way, some jealous tat she was marrying me while some jealous tat I was marrying her. I walked with slow steps while Naina held my hand tight fearing to break down. I looked at her and assured her tat we need to be strong so tat none of the relatives get a hint of the ongoing storm in the families. Rano smiled looking at them and asked Maan and Naina to sit keeping Geet in between them. Naina looked at her mother denying while Rano's one stern look made her sit down. Rano slowly took Naina's hand and kept in on Geet's asking her to hold her Di but the moment she did she shivered as if something broke inside her. Her eyes glued at her Geet tat stared somewhere other than her while Maan placed his right hand on their hands trying to keep them safe. He looked at Naina and than at Geet but the moment he did he withdrew his hand fearing the pain tat was engulfing him in it. He stood to walk away when I heard her soft voice after like ages but only to break me more

Geet: Shaadi hain.

Her words were rather a question to him than her and how could I say tat it was. It was their dream tat was turning into a reality but sadly, I could not say anything. I wanted to run away from this pain but when I heard Naina speak, I sat back.

Naina: Your Dream Di.. Jij is yours ever and forever.

Geet just kept staring at Maan instead of Naina while Naina cried wiping her tears. She looked at Maan and than at Geet trying to make her believe tat it was a reality but her heart broke when her Di just kept staring at Maan again. Naina could not take it anymore and ran away from the place to hide herself in some corner while Rano wiped the tears wetting her cheeks looking at the guest coming to wish her princess and prince for the occasion.

I smiled at the guest giving them a fake smile while Rano covered up saying tat Geet was shy and its was not a lie as indeed it was the biggest truth in our life. I heard everyone asking us to join the dance floor, cheering and calling out our names. The whole crowd knew how good I was at dance but now they wanted me to dance with my bride. I knew how good she was but the world never knew about it. I shook my head saying a NO but than suddenly, Geet and I were standing right in the centre surrounded by all. I could hear them cheering asking us to dance but when I shook my head I heard one of them saying " Kyu darr rahe ho kya tat Geet would not match up to your level" the mere words tat I heard made me furious and I pulled My Mishti harshly into me asking to change the music into some passionate dance number. My moves and steps were so harsh tat I knew she was not able to cope up but I did not care as the words only ignited more of my anger. How could I let others think tat she was not my level but the truth was tat I was not a match for her. I tried to make her dance but she was not getting it and tats when I felt someone else a boy, pulling her away from me saying " Maan, she is a delicate flower and your harshness can break her into pieces. Why don't you leave her for me, as I know how to take care of such delicate flower."

My anger crossed all my limits and next second my Mishti was all glued to me where I failed to see tat I hurt her. I looked deep at tat boy shooting all my anger and rage for him saying, "Maan Singh Khuranna ki Geet hain, and the way I can love her no one in this world can do." I moved out from the crowd holding her close to me. I looked out for Maa and Mom but I met only my two angry fathers who looked and accused me. I never complained about it, as I knew tat Geet was dearer to them than I was but all loved us equally but next moment I saw them looking at me and my Mishti with pain but more of anger towards me. I walked away holding Geet closer but was stopped again when Maa and Mom stopped me from going out. I knew tat I was wrong leaving the function but I could not stay here and than heard my Dad saying.

Raj: The whole of Delhi is here and I don't want any drama. I hope you get tat straight son.

I turned to plead but it was fury as a glare from my Dad and I knew I had to stop. It was just not Khuranna's but even Handa's reputation as we belonged to the top most class of the rich people. I could not let our family honor down because of me and I slowly loosened by grip on her waist, moved leaving my Mishti behind, and tried to mingle with some of the business associates who had come to grace the function keeping an eye on my Mishti but it was not long tat my eyes saw her sleeve turning red when it was pure white. I panicked seeing it and for god's grace, my own family had announced the end for Sangeet as it was Mehndi and Haldi the next day and soon the whole Haveli was empty within minutes leaving just the family. I ran fast t reach my Mishti and in a swift move carried her upstairs and that is when our family looked at the tiled floor colored with her blood.

My eyes did not leave the sight of her wrist and the moment I reached her room I placed her on bed tearing her sleeve with no mercy and the sight of her wrist shook the earth beneath me. I cried out loud scaring the hell out from each and shouted for the first aid box which was brought in no seconds by Naina. Mom and Maa tried coming closer but I shove them all asking them not to near. Naina looked at me while I cleaned the wound, the wound tat was instilled on her by her but for me for our love. I looked up for a moment but the moment I did my heart shattered further seeing her all numb to the pain and my tears mixed with the antiseptic I used to clean her wound while my lips shivered even to say a word.

Maan: Mishti..

My words choked in his throat seeing his Mishti in a world where she was lost and numb and he called her again bending his head in front of her again

Maan: Punish your culprit but trust me tat its real. Your DREAM WEDDING it turning into a REALITY.

He looked at her again cupping her face in his hands placing a soft peck on her forehead and said.

Maan: Don't kill MY MISHTI but kill MAAN. Har ek sazza manzoor hain par mujhe meri Mishti ki smile wapas chahiye. Don't do this please.. I won't be able to take this pain anymore. I cant Mishti'. My heart cries seeing you my soul is leaving your Maan seeing you all numb.
