And even if once, I want I meet a person like Maan, I really doubt it though. Such men rarely exist! He is so sensible that he understands the way his wife his reacting, yet he is lovestruck enough to never want to live when she isn't around. This combination has made him so special today that I just can't think how Geet wouldn't forgive him! The way he thinks has just left me wondering how a person can be so understanding.

The bond he shares with Adi and the way he can tell with just one look that his friend has found a girl is just adorable! And Adi is cute with his confusion over the female gender! 😆

Loved it Palin! Thanks for updating! 😊

👏 Firstly great analysis..
Second, I don't agree with the underlined... Most people are like Maan and Geet within the veils of insecurity and ego, shyness and self-protectiveness.. It just takes a little digging to get there. Not digging faults in others but digging within to mold ourselves to become the ideal couple that we want to be.. While this is easier said than done, we should question how judgemental we are esp when it comes to selecting a partner.. are we looking for the house, the car, the six packs, the slim bodies, what not... in the end is that all we are left with... The way to recognize a jewel is to have the eyes of a jeweler..
I loved the update Palin. There is a wealth of character in your stories and your characters.
Thanks for the update...
Love always, Avi.

Thank you aditi..😊
May your Mr.X has all the qualities you want in him but i would suggest you to control your expectations..
I myself have created this maan but I always refrain myself from believing or dreaming that i would get a hubby like him because I am not as good as geet in this story...😃

How do I slap thee, let me count the ways.
Kya subject choose kiya hain tumne Pilli.
The slapanomics behind different slaps is confusing as hell, as we don't weigh all of them on the same scale.
But it is a definite that the slap that carries the worst social stigma is the slap from a man to a woman.
There was a undercover program on a TV show called 20/20, where they had 2 scenarios played out in an open park by some actors. In the first scenario, a guy was physically abusing and yelling at a girl. People immediately intervend. In the secon scenario a girl was abusing a guy. More than 100 people walked by and only one lady finally decided to call the cops after many hours.
When questioned about their apathy to the guy being abused, their answers were varied, some said that they did not think she could seriously hurt him to somebody saying , he probably deserved it, to yet another person saying, she was excited to see the role reversal.
Perhaps it's because for so long it's was okay to slap women. Even older movies, if you watch them you'll see many such scenes.
Now the roles have started reversing and many a movie shows women slaping the man.
It's an age old battle of the sexes and when the women are hitting men its almost like avenging centuries of abuse that's been heaped on them.
Is it right?
Absolutely not.
Abuse is abuse.
It's not the abuse that is right, it's our perspective that is wrong.{I completely agree you parjai ji..Abuse is wrong and slap that comes under the category of "abusing" is wrong. You might find me prejudiced in saying so but not every slap from a woman comes under the category of abuse just like not every slap from a "man" is abuse..My prejudiced perspective arises from the large difference in percentage of such slaps from men and women..😊 Slaps form men would come under abusing category most of times whereas slap from women are non-abusing mostly..}
Not sure about India, but here, man file complaint against women's physical abuse everyday.
From everyday people to famous personalities.{Really??? well I have not heard a single complain of domestic violence from a man here in 25 years of my life. Even if such a male victim exist,he would never complain because It would be direct attack on his macho and potency in the society where i live..😆People here suffer form sick mentality which is incurable to some extent.. though there is little change in scenario..A husband helping his wife in kitchen as well as raising kids is not entitled as "Jodu ka ghulam" these days but a wife beating an husband is rare phenomenon.."}

Ok that was a hell long comment on the slap
A few of my friends and me were discussing this exact thing a few weeks ago and so you got the tail end of it😆
"She sacrifices her parental home,her childhood and half of her youth for her husband when she marries to him.Even her remaining life is all devoted to him and his family..and for all these sacrifices, she expects only respect and love from her husband"
I'm not sure I agree to Maan's point of view, completely. Every creature in the animal and bird kingdom gets kicked out of their nest{Boys are not kicked out from their nests..😕Even if they are kicked out for progress and blooming, when they would return , their nest would still belong to them..It would be called their home not their "mayka"...I want to share few lines of a punjabi ghazal here ..
"Kudiyan chidiyan hundiyan ne par par nahi hunde kudiayan de..{ girls are called sparrows but they don't have wings..}
Peke saure hunde ne but ghar nahi hunde kudiyan de..."{ They have "sausral" and "mayka" instead of home..}
, so that they can propogate and build their own future and their own nest.It's the rule of the universe.
Though there is some truth to the above statement I agree, especailly when women live in joint familes and things like that. My point is, is her rage justified for this reason.{umm.😕.I don't know parjai ji..Whatever questions adi asked Maan was all the questions I have asked myself..and this was the answer that i got..Leaving my parental home and dedicating rest years of my life to a "stranger"is a very big sacrifice for me😭. This rage is generated from hurt expectations hence its justified somewhere..}
Don't want to complicate this further so I'll stop right here.
The rest of Adi Maan conversation I loved.😃
Just a fantastic deeply thought provoking update, that I swear I wanted to keep on commenting.
I may come back to bore you. You never know.😉{ you are most most welcome....😊}
