I'm very nervous, so decided to write. it's incomplete and not perfect
"You sing that very well" he said. I shrugged and asked "how long have you been spying on me?" I asked. He frowned thoughtfully and said "just in time to notice that you know the chords" he said pointing to me. I frowned.
"I heard that Neha was telling the others; every time at this hour you sit here" he said and sat on the bench. I gave him odd looks.
He ignored me while I was rolling my eyes. "So why?" he asked. I shrugged "I like being here".
"Just asking" he said putting his hands up. I chuckled. "You're amazing" I said then frowned again.
"Why are you in such a nice humour", he said smirking. "Oh, I see; then you don't want to talk about it", he said smirking again.
"You don't look cool" I said rolling my eyes. "You should have some others trademark; than rolling your eyes", he said and I frowned.
He grabbed my hands and with his hands; turned me to face him "will you marry me?" he asked.
Two seconds passed I stood there staring at him; shocked; startled; frightened, all these emotions came in a mixture.
He chuckled laughingly
I gave a weak smile and fell laughing. "Geet, you should have seen your face ' I thought you'd laugh when I'd say that but you turned dark" I shook my head and said "everything is alright?" he asked. I nodded "I'm just too tired after work".
"See if you would have been my wife, you'd have lived a luxurious life" he chuckled.
I shrugged and grinned "wasn't that place already booked, Maan". He frowned and said "I've still not find someone who fits in my profile".
"Like?" I questioned scribbling in my diary.
"Like someone with the cutest smile, the cutest eyes, the hottest figure, the charming greeting'like you except the way you rolled your eyes".
I laughed.
"See" he said "I know how to make you laughed".
I chuckled.
He was funny. He was my best thing ever; after all he was my summer love when I was seventeen.
It was the best years of my life, it was nice. Very nice.
He had those devil eyes. I had gone camping with my friends and he was with his family.
Too boring, huh? No, it wasn't, he had the coolest family; with the amazing mother and perfect grandmother.
We had met when I accidently went in his tent and saw him dancing in his shorts without his tees. I had turned so red and rooted; he had those headsets in his ears and was dancing the 'Dance o' the Duck' as he called that.
When he opened his eyes and saw me, he nearly had a heart attack. He was embarrassed; so was I, I had ran from his tent and cursed myself to bits. But that teenage heart was still there; grinning like a fool while my mind was cursing me.
Then we met at the restaurant; I had gone there with my friends for some eating; what ' it was a restaurant. I bumped into him there and he was all shocked when he saw me. I gawked when I saw him; then sheepishly I asked to forgive me.
He nodded but did not talk again. Imagine a girl seeing your break-dance in your skull shorts, huh.
Yuck!
But when my friend introduced Maan as his distance relative; I fumbled with my words of greeting and when he chuckled, I knew he was not really angry with me for my stupid misunderstanding.
He was cool; not hot-tempered; funny and cheering.
The next day we bunked the visit to the Witches' Caves and went to have a picnic at the beach. He told me there that he was nineteen.
He built the Taj Mahal from sand and said "I give this Taj your name; it's a Geet Mahal from Maan Taj" and he chuckled. I sprinkled some bitter sea water on him and pouted "I'm not yet dead". He chuckled and said "it's a live love".
The next day we had to go; our holidays were over; but it was fun.
He was my summer love.
But I did not know who I was for him. Then I met him some days ago; in a meeting with the heads.
He grinned when he saw me, commenting I was still the same, cute and all. Well; I could not help grinning at his comments and slightly blushing. He was a nice type and a unique one.
He had devil's eyes; those brown ones, dark ones. [Like Me, I got dark brown eyes]
I loved his devilish eyes; he was a real devil. He was in partnership with the company that I was working. And I'd like that. We met every day and when the GM came to know that we were close; I was given special facilities, but I found that wrong. Call me Ms. Justice, that's how Maan called me when I told him.
All these years he had been perfect for me; my summer love; I never met anyone. Well, I never tried to meet anyone. But I made my mind; summer love did not last long; it didn't in my case.
For all I knew; Devil's Eyes did not have any girlfriend. He told me he did not want to take any commitment right now.
"Geet" he called me.
I came back to Earth and flashed him my smile. I love my smile; Maan called me bighead when I told him that in my summer vacations.
"I want to ask you something" he said. I nodded in agreement. "I like a girl" he said. I nodded. I was hurt, but I had convinced myself it would happen one day; so no hurt.
"Yes" I said, keeping my voice calm.
"Well; she's a very close friend; I met her when I was nineteen" I nodded. So he already knew someone before or after meeting me. Bad.
Concentrate, I told myself.
"I like...no I love her, I thought I had lost her until I saw her some days ago" I nodded. He continued "if I confess and if she's hurt...well; I'm scared of her reactions".
"Well; it's a game, you should give it a try, Maan, accept it'" I replied. He smiled and then said "promise, you won't scream at me" he said. No, I thought, you're free to take any decision, I don't count anyway.
"I love you" he said taking my palms in his. His devilish eyes pouring down in mine.
I gawked.
"Stop joking" I said turning away. I could cry any minute if it was a joke.
"I'm not" he said. He was serious, and I knew it.
"So...it's me...?" I asked. He frowned.
"You are really that stupid? Summer vacations? Meeting when I was nineteen! I lost contact with her! Met her a few days ago" he said. "I love you Geet".
We were sitting in front of the beach on a bench. Perfect moment in books!
"I...me? 17? You...my summer'love" I blurted.
He grinned, he does that a lot. "You know, don't hesitate to make sentences" he chuckled.
"Reply" he said grimly. I nodded. I took a deep breath and said "I'too'" I could not. It was hard since I had it in my head that it won't work.
"You're my summer love" I blurted.
He grinned.
"Mine too" and winked.
"So...so like every movie or novels; at the sunset, we're suppose to have a long steaming kiss" he grinned. I hit him on his chest, it's hard. He had that devilish gleam in his devilish eyes.
He moved forward and the'
The rest was magic.
