On the first day of medical college,there is an ancient tradition for the freashers to take the oath of medical professoin.

'' #I solemnly pledge myslef to consecrate my life to the service of humanity.

#I will give to my teachers the respect and gratitude which is their due.

#The health of my patients will be my first considaration.

#I will respect the secrets which are confined in me,even after the patient has died.

#My colleagues will be by brothers and sisters.

#I will not permit considaration of religion,nationality,race,party politics or social standing to intervene between my duty and my patients.

#I will maintain the utmost respect for human life from the time of conception.

#Even under threat I will not Use my medical knowledge contrary to the laws of humanity.

I make these promises solemnly,Freely and upon my honor...''

my whole life...my dignity and my honor revolves around this oath...this profession...the most respected profession in this world.

And simply i haven't and i bet no one has seen a physician got scared of a powerful person...cause no matter how ''powerful'' he is...he is bound to bend his Head down to a DOCTOR...not the OTHER WAY AROUND.Doctor is a life saver...not an object of delivering threts.

This is my life's goal...and i will simply take it highly offensively,If the medical community is being constantly humiliated in such way.

I have edited it...but i can't promise u about my decision changing...I am sorry...but i won't lie .

my...as well as every doctor's whole life...dignity and honor revolves around this oath...this profession...the most respected profession in this world.

And simply i haven't and i bet no one has seen a physician got scared of a powerful person...cause no matter how ''powerful'' he is...he is bound to bend his Head down to a DOCTOR when he comes with health condition...not the OTHER WAY AROUND.Doctor is a life saver,a respective personality...not an object of delivering threats.

I didn't mean to hurt to u bulbul di...but it really hurts to read in many stories that people r grabbing doctors collars...punching them in faces...threatning them to oparate more carefully.Why????Aren't they qualified enough to do a oparation..??they've joined in a hospital as a sergon...that means they r taking a life's responsibily in their own hands...they are chosen to do this cause they were the best.

My papa...my brother...my sister...and me...in one word my whole family are in this profession...and no one can see their father's profession or ur own profession being humiliated...i am no exception too.

Bulbul di,I love u very much and only and only for that reason i have posted this comment ...otherwise there r many threads where i could post this...but i think they r not worthy enough.


It is time that all should know that medical community is a respective community and such constant humiliation will not be tolarated afterwards.this is against the forum codes...plz respect it.
