PART 69

A world where order and chaos coexisted with unconditional love, that is what MK mansion had become. There was nothing less than pure bliss. Maanvi was the embodiment of discipline and duty just like her dad while Misha was the most funky mischeivous kid anyone had ever met, yet she was as adorable and cute as Geet. Maan enjoyed the Geet in Misha, so he never let anyone say anything about her. Misha's over protective sister was not much different. Yet it was Geet who maintained a balance not letting her become the spoilt brat. When it came to Misha,not much policing was required. She is an easy going kid. She made friends pretty quickly. She was cheerful and vibrant and surprisingly much matured than any other eight year old kid. Maanvi was on the verge of becoming a teenager. She excelled in anything that was possible by a 12 year old. Maan Singh Khurana had become an unstoppable force. Khurana Industries had reached its all-time high in the stock market. GK resorts had chains all over the world now. Wonder had now become one of the best-selling models ever in the history of auto-world. It became the first luxury car that's been exported to maximum number of countries in the world. Maan Singh Khurana was listed in the top 10 richest people of the world by Forbes. Adi , the CEO of KI, and Pinky had a son, Vinay who is a year younger than Misha. Poor thing had to suffer the punishment for most of the mischief by Misha. He never complained though. Vaishnav and Kriti, Annie and Arjun's kids complete the 'bachcha party'. Vaishnav the elder one is a year older than Misha and Kriti is the youngest of all. They gave a hard time when put together. That's the only thing that scared Maan these days, kids' He just doesn't get this cleared up. It was easier for him to convince some international client with whatever clause he wanted but baby-sitting these little ones all together was nothing less than a nightmare. However Mr and Mrs Khurana were too busy with their life that they hardly ate together. It was then Maan declared that they should take a break. And so the vacation was planned during the summer vacation of the kids. Geet wanted Annie and kids to join but the Rathore's had a family puja scheduled already for the welfare of the family. So it was just the four of them. They set off in their private jet. The kids had fun in a cabin of their own and Maaneet in theirs.

Geet rested her head on his arm and leaned closer.

Geet : Maan, me kya soch rhi thi...umm..should I expect more surprise like last time??

Maan : last time? U mean our honeymoon??

She blushed crimson as he said that.

Maan smirked, 'Mishty, u are the mother of our two kids and still you blush...in our second honeymoon..

Geet wacked him,' oho..hold on Mr.Khurana we have our kids with us..

Maan : do you think that will stop me from having a second honeymoon??

He leaned closer if it was any more possible, his intent eyes on her lips. Before she knew, her breath caught in a tight kiss and there was no effort from her to restrain him. His hands moved all over her body as he memorized her perfect form once more. She moaned at his touch and forced her kiss with even more urgency. And when they finally parted for breath, the little angels came screaming into their cabin. Geet eyed Maan as a proof for what she had said earlier. He only smiled. Misha jumped into Maan's lap. He shuffled her hair affectionately and asked,"wats the matter kido?"

Misha made a puppy face just like Geet.

Misha : I m not talking to Maanu didi..

(After Geet only Misha had the license to call Maanvi Maanu..)

Maan : Oh, and why is that so?

Misha: She is so rude.. Ek dam dusht daanav...ban gayi..arey daanav nhi chudail..

Maan knew this language and he immediately glared at Geet who looked away innocently.

Maan : aisa kya kar diya apki di nhi..

Maanvi barged in then.

Maanvi : I will tell you dad. She is not letting me read. Cant she keep quiet for just half an hour?

Misha : see she wants to read that stupid book instead of playing..

Maanvi : mish the book is not stupid ok?

Misha : oh! really? Like a bunch of kids with magic wands in a magic school is very clever!!

Maanvi : U lack imagination!!

Misha: its stupid stupid stupid...stupid Harry!

Maanvi pounced at her and tried to shut her mouth. Maan looked at Geet helplessly.

Geet : ok! Ok...now u both stop or we are flying back.(the kids stopped and looked at her)u want to read Maanvi? Go to your cabin and read. And Misha, dad and I will play with you. So that's settled.

Before Maan could give her those looks of accusation the steward knocked at their door.

Steward : sir, we are about to land at Rio in a couple of minutes. So it would be wise, if the kids, the lady and yourself have your seat belts put on.

Maan : sure! Thank you.

The steward took his leave.

Geet made sure the kids had their seatbelts fastened and quickly got seated herself. She held Maan's hand firmly as the flight bumped while landing.

The good old Khurana mansion stood in its place as a reminder of its lost glory. The downfall of Dev Singh Khurana began the day when Maan Singh Khurana made him buy his own house at a fairly huge money. Maan had now grown too big that any event of even conspiring against him was impossible for Ansh and Abhay. It's not that they had not tried but eventually they had to admit it to themselves. Since then Dev had not much a place among his so-called friends as he was totally unworthy now. The office of Dev Khurana constructions was still there but Dev didn't have any powers in his hand. The only reason they didn't throw him out was the bench strength. Incase they had a chance against Maan anyday, they could move this pawn.. Dev.. He knew it himself but he was a coward to give away everything that he had just for some self-respect. NT was a dutiful wife who stood by him without any complaints. She took it as a punishment for her husband's deeds that they didn't have any children. Samira and Ansh had not much of a great married life. In the initial stages she found solace in their plotting against Maan but when that reduced she slipped into depression and almost cut off from everything in life. It was for her sake that Abhay tried to bring down Maan. Ansh wasn't a doting lover and husband. He valued his association with Abhay too much to end it for a divorce. So he seemed to take care of his sick wife though she stayed at Abhay's and had his own pleasures in other ways. Abhay had to pay much higher a price Piya left him as she saw him trying to avenge her dear brother. She didn't even bother to tell him that she had given birth to his son at Dehradun. It took him fifteen long years to search for her and bring back his family. She returned only because she was sure that he wont be upto anything after all that had happened.

Things were running smooth on either sides-the good and the evil- but one may wonder.. Is it a silence before the storm???
