I want a divorce she said like that is the best words she could think right now. Followed a pin drop silence. She could clearly see his eyebrows twitch. Emotions raging. Her brain felt it just stopped producing further speech. She just kept stepping carefully backward, eyes grimaced, lips pressed tight.
Couple of mins & he remained totally numb. Every passing min Geet felt earth slipping away. She began to get restless with her husbands numbness. Her eyes began to flood with a million of emotion & most of all helplessness. When still he didn't say anything she painfully called his name Maan
to add to her misery there was still no response. She fearfully inched towards him.. he raised his hand asking her to stop right where she was.
She painfully clutched the pallu against her lips trying to stop herself from breaking down. Maan .. her voice came out in shear whimper.. as he got up & walked speechlessly towards the door
I am getting late for my next meeting he said it in an emotionless tone
so will u please he said opening the door yet again for her. She held her broken heart & almost ran out. The moment she stepped out he slammed the door behind.
Geet felt like a door was closed on their relation. Actually it was always closed don't know why she even thought there was a chance. Before walking further out into the office area she composed herself. She tried to look calm & composed. By now every one was glaring at her & giving her a delightful greeting, guess it didn't take much to spread the news that Mrs MSK was in office. They were all so anxcious to see Mrs Maan Singh Khurana their demon boss's wife. Girls group like sasha & tasha were off course jealous few felt how she manages with his temper, few like adi & pinky were so curious to know was he like this kadus even at home.
Geet smiled weekly & walked out gracefully. She was not sure of Maans reaction. She had expected every other possibility & she even mentally prepared herself for all the options. Her 95% nahi may be 99% sure option was he would burst out in anger, probably slap her again.. all that would only make it easy for her to end this marriage. 5% sadly 1% she expected otherwise like he may realize her feelings. She held the hiccups which followed before the burst out.. he said nothing. He just asked her to leave. He didn't react. He was emotionless... did she hurt him, a pain pricked her heart. She has made him angry a lot many time but never hurt him, but why should he feel hurt he never cared about their relation, abt her. no.. no.. no.. he can't be hurt..yes his out of propotion ego would have been hurt she consoled herself. The moment she sad in the cab tears flooded down. He didn't care.. he never did, why was she even expecting anything from him.
she reached home broken & shattered only to hear taunts from pami.
Pami ' wat happened they kicked u out of the job.. pami laughed sheepishly. Geet tried ignoring it, pami was in a mood to pull her in a fight probably. She began with her being irresponsible, disrespectful...
All these years this non ' stop torture had made Geet mad. Pami's such mean talks added with no Maan at all her in life was one of the main reason of her decision to move on. It was not an easy thing for Geet to do. She is not the kind of person who wanted to give up on her marriage. She wanted to make it work. She wanted it more than anyone would ever try.. but there should have been atleast a little support from Maan definitely she would have survived.
It all began long back but the seed of thought of moving on came in her heart some time mid last years. She had been trying her best to do everything as he pleases always. Actually there was nothing much to do for him. He preferred to be independent & not disturbed. Initial few years she had tried always being around him. Asking him something for which she got nothing but a mono syllable answers always!. She try ways to start a conversation, like a generic one after knowing his temper on personal matters.

don't know when & how & why she gave up.
She kept on feeling guilty that atleast she shouldn't give up.
Things were getting really difficult at home to handle especially with pami. Even after 5yrs of wedding she couldn't accept Geet as her daughter-in-law. She did her best to put her down in all occasions. Geet began to spend more time away from home. When thinks went out control like during anni's wedding time omg !!! Geet almost broke down.. she even began to wish pami should die soon, then only she could have a peaceful life with Maan. Thats when Geet began to feel this strange inhuman feeling nourishing in her. How much had she changed in past 4yrs(this a yr from now.. now it is 5yrs) that she wished some ones death.
She composed herself & began to think. Was really everything fine between her & Maan. Did she love him at all..

she fought with herself.. he is my husband & I love him. A series of question began to follow... when was it last u wished to be in the same room as him
when was it u wished to hug him & sleep
when was it u last actually climaxed while they were close.
Sadly she had no answer to any of it.

She was taken back in memory to the first time she had her periods after marriage & Maan had called her in his own sweet way. She was so much in pain & discomfort with her monthly thing.. she almost wanted to pounce at him, scream at him. But his slap forced her to keep low distanced to openly express herself. She just came into the room & stood in the corner, knotting her duppatta.

his eyes were so full of desire how would she break his feeling. She gulped nervously.. bit of pain & a horrible feel self insufficiency filled in. only one thing they share & even that she has to refuse him.. it was only the 2nd day.
Maan was surely confused he didn't know how to ask her. She always understood then why is she behaving so indifferent. He began to get restless.

I have my periods she said very softly.. with her head dipped low. She didn't hear any response.. Maan had just left to the gym. She got really scared the way he sighed disappointed.
after seeing that face of his she could never refuse him.. initially & then it became normal.. she didn't refuse.
After few days she when she felt better she wanted to tell him they could & innocently she did manage to tell him.
That day Maan was back from office early he was looking into some file. Geet got all dressed & stood infront of him. She cutely complained to babaji.. dehko na notice bhi nahi kar rahen
actually he never did
she cleared her throat couple of times
he was still lost in his file
she stamped her foot & shook him from the arm.. Maan.
He angrily looked at her contact on his arms & then at her.
She immediately pulled her hand away .. chune tho dethen nahi.. pyar kya khak karenge
he kept staring at her angrily.
Geet I am at home doesn't mean I am jobless he spat furiously seeing her continuously chatting with herself which he found cute actually.

she was totally flushed at her own words. It took her some time to look back at him. Her eyes welled up seeing him still lost in his file. Forget getting a hint he was not even interested. She slowly stepped out & rushed to furthest corner of the house & cried.. making sure no one heard her like always.
