The helplessness, the guilt, the grief of a person who's had to witness three important people breathe their last in front of his eyes in a single day and who comes to know that the identity he's been living with is not entirely true on the same day, it's deep, unfathomable..! I cannot fully know the pain hidden inside Geet which she could only let out after laying her head in a mother's lap. Dadi became that mother for her.. This moment, when Geet cried for her dead mother with her head in Dadi's lap, is an important moment in their relationship indeed. Geet sharing her pain with Dadi, baring her heart to her, means that she has given the place of a mother to Dadi. Of course, Dadi cannot take the place of her Aai but she has become a mother figure to Geet now. And the way Dadi let her cry out, the way she caressed her head, her heart has clearly accepted Geet as a daughter! It's going to be interesting to read their camaraderie in the coming story! 😃

A loving hug and the gentle touch can say I care more than a thousand words could. And that is why Geet could open herself to dadi. B'coz she knows dadi cares.
Dadi and Geet are true soulmates with soul attraction, not the other kind of attraction.😉

We sometimes meet people in life with whom we feel instant kinship. It is the same with Geet and Dadi.

We often give far more importance to blood ties than to those of the heart, when in fact, ties that are their in the heart are the true 'binding ties'. Mohinder's acceptance of Geet into his life, his giving love to her without limits, Brij's ignorance towards the fact that his sister was a step sister and caring for her even more than a real brother would do, Pinky's friendship with Geet where she put her own life on hold for her, her easy relationship with Geet's Aai, Adi, Pinky and Manchanda's efforts to cheer Geet up. These are all the example of dil ke rishtey surmounting khoon ke rishtey! These are all proofs that whether blood proves its mettle or not, these relations, heart to heart, will never disappoint! It's been quite a long time since I've had years in my eyes while reading something and the whole part where Pari was involved did it. It made me emotional to the extent that I had to pause reading for a while.

Ah, how pitiful those parents are who ran after money and their so-called izzat while their daughter was alive. They didn't support her throughout her life and only when she was dead did they realise that she had been right about her husband all along! But what use is their repentance of now? What use is their money and property now? Can this all bring back the wife that Mohinder lost, the mother that Geet and Brij lost, the friend that Pari lost, the father and grandmother that Miri lost?!

And this is why we should never judge a person like we habitually do! Like Maan judged Geet. You never know what the other person has been through, you never know how painful his story might be... Geet would be very justified if she gives Maan a very tough time for being judgemental! 😃

After all this rant above, I feel lighter and I'm game for Devi Bonaparte's scheming! 😃 it's going to be a fun ride now, isn't it? 😉

I was visitng a bookstore when I saw this book called Napolean: A political life.

So i jist picked it up randomly and was browsing through it when I had this epiphany about Devi Bonaparte. Just perfct for that old scheming rascal I thought.😆

I missed the narrative in the last two chapters! So glad you put it up here. I can almost feel the friendliness of your neighbourhood! 😊
