Chapter 40

Geet was not ready to go back with Daddi.It was really tough for her to decide . When she left Rehaan behind it was quite possible people may raise finger on her that she was step mother so she never think once .But no one knew the real reason.The only reason Geet left him there was she was not who brought him to this world This was biggest curse for a mother . Daddi at last dropped her weapons

Daddi :Geet I always thought that in my upbringing there was not a single fault , never did a single mistake to make Maan and Dev complete men .But I was at fault especially when it comes to Maan I had forgotten that I m human not omnipotent How can I blame u.But how ever I will wait for u.I know u ll come not for anyone but for ur son at least (sighed and got up)

Daddi returned back empty handed. Everyone was suffering reason may be different for every one.But no one was able to understand poor boy's grief.A introvert child became mum in few days. It was not that Geet left him never . Thrice in a day she never forgot to send food for Rehaan secretly. Always kept eye on him from far when at school.In school time it was easy for both kids to stay with each other but after school. Mannat had her mother but Rehaan for him Maan always disappeared,some times in office some times in bar. Daddi was there but she had not that much energy and courage due to her age which not allowed her to give company to him for more time.

Both kids were not getting why this happened but they always got scared to question parents. Mannat due to her mother's problem from years as she was used to it and Rehaan due to Maan's anger

Daddi tried to question Maan but he always avoids her.

About a week later one day

Daddi was out to visit doctor for regular check up.Rehaan was alone in home after school.When he felt bored he rushed out of room and ran toward stairs . Suddenly some thing happens which no one expected.He held his head with hands and fell down from first stair.Maan just had stepped in from office he noticed it.Before Rehaan got more hurt he grabbed him in hands climbing stairs Even than from three to four stairs from where Rehaan rolled down were enough to give injuries to him

Stair railing hit him on forehead and he was bleeding.More than that he got scared due to this.What we can expect from a five year old lil innocent boy who became victim of parents ego

Maan : Rehaan nothing ll happen .Papa hai na.(He cradled him and yelled on servants to start car) Mohan start car fast.

Within 10 minutes he reached nearest life care hospital.Whose owner was Karan Maan's best friend's Brother in Law.Karan's sister Dr Anu also was practicing here .

Maan without waiting for stretcher rushed toward emergency.Dr Gupta senior surgeon was ready to attend Rehaan as Maan had already asked Nakul to phone Dr Anu.Anu was at home so she informed Dr Gupta

Dr Gupta: Mr Khuraana Dr Anu informed me.Let us start treatment plz wait outside (he stopped Maan who was yelling on staff to go inside ICU with his son)

Maan : Mera Bacha kush nahi hoga tumko (before staff took Rehaan inside Maan cupped his bleeding son's face tear drops from his eyes fell on Rehaan's cheeks)

Within 10 minutes Dr Anu and after her Daddi Maan reached hospital.But Dr Anu instead of talking to Maan rushed inside.

Daddi Maa : Maan nothing gonna happen to Rehaan.Have faith on God (she tried to consoled Maan who was crying like child hugging her)

Maan : Daddi Maa if some one did wrong that is me.Then why that almighty punishing my lil son

Daddi : Kya hua kisne kya kiya this is not time to discuss. Rehaan's safety is most importance .But I told nothing to Geet.Aap Geet ki pregnancy ko importance de na de but for me bahut important hai.Usko shock lagega ek dam bataya to also she is depression patient.(she taunted Maan)

Maan : Every one is blaming me Daddi Maa. Really I m bad.Fine jisko jo sochna hai soche but for me now my son is most important (he wiped her tears with his wrist instead of hand)

After two hours at last they saved Rehaan .But he was still unconscious. But biggest reason was shock to Rehaan.Only family one by one could go inside so Daddi rushed first without waiting Maan.He was looking at his son from glass pane.Bit satisfaction at last he was safe.

Dr Anu came outside she was disturbed.Her facial expression was telling whole truth

Maan : Anu Di why r u looking upset sabh theek to hai (he held her shoulder)

Dr Anu : Maan Rehaan is out of danger from the injuries he experienced due to this accident

Maan : Fir problem kya hai (amazed he said)

Dr Anu : Problem ho sakti hai I hope sabh theek ho (sighed and consoled him putting hand on shoulder)

Maan : Plz Di clear every thing my heart is sinking (he folded both handed)

Dr Anu : I m a gynecologist Maan fir bhi as a doctor I know what is difference in between a normal person and a patient.Rehaan has some problem.Due to which he fainted I think and he fell.Let reports come .Morning tak clear ho jaaega.May god what we think that will turn out to be wrong (she cleared)

Maan : What mere bache ko koi problem hai.How is this possible Di .No ur observation is wrong (he fell on chair outside room and hided his face with hands)

Dr Anu : Even I hop so .I hadn't told any thing to Daddi Maa.Just go to lab tumhara bhi ek test karna hai its must for Rehaan.Tum morning main 9 baje mujhe aa kar milna.Dr Gupta ll also join us. Let me check progress in lab regarding Rehaan's tests.(she left saying this)

Maan was shocked speechless what to say.He couldn't tell truth to Daddi not to Geet.Rehaan got his consciousness back after hour but the real happiness which should be on Maan's face that had been vanished

This nite was like centuries for Maan. Every passing second was bringing him close to the fact which he never imagined.How his son could have any problem.

Maan : If some how kush galat hua Apne bache k liye main apna saara paisa to kya apni jaan bhi de dunga.But usko kush nahi hone dunga (he thought looking at sleeping Rehaan. Where Daddi was also sleeping peacefully on chair unaware of coming storm) Rehaan mere bache Papa hai na (he went near to Rehaan and kissed him on cheek fore head)

At last the time came...9 in the morning.

Inside Dr Anu's cabin

Dr Anu and Dr Gupta were waiting for Maan having Pin drop silence.Looking at faces of both Maan realized some thing was wrong when he came inside.But he was not ready to accept any such fact.

Maan : Dr Gupta Anu Di why r u both sad.Boliye sabh theek hai na

Dr Gupta : Mr Khuraana first plz have a seat.(he requested)

Maan : No Dr Gupta tell me whats there kya hai in reports main. (yelled)

Anu : Maan u r such a strong man.Aur tumse kush hide karna it is not good.U have full rite to know the conditon fo Rehaan.Ya our doubt comes out to be rite.Rehaan is victim of a serious problem (sighed and placed reports in front of Maan) Check thses mujhe batane ki jaroorat nahi

Maan checked each and every report. Rooted to spot Maan was looking once at reports once at both doctors.Destiny dropped biggest bombshell on Maan

Maan : Di Dr Gupta how is this possible. Yeh mere Rehaan ki reports ho he nahi sakti.I think reports change ho gayi hongi.Ask ur lab technician to correct this mistake (his over flooded eyes at last broke barriers and came to his cheeks .He was shivering)

Dr Anu got up.Maan hugged her tightly and burst in tears.

Maan : Anu Di yeh nahi ho sakta.Why this with my innocent son.

Dr Anu : Maan is reality ko tumko accept karna he hoga and his condition is not very good

Dr Gupta had an emergency case so he left.

Maan : Di main apna saari dault /wealth spend kar dunga.Per apne Rehaan ko kush nahi hone dunga.Boliye kon sa specialist mere Rehaan ko theek kar sakta hai.If I have to take him outside India I m also ready (he said with hope)

Anu : Maan kehna to nahi chahea in this time.But it is true tumhara yahi ghamand ur self proud on ur wealth some where gonna be reason for Rehaan's Incurable condition.Main tumko taana nahi maar rahi but I m trying to show real face of u.Jo kissi ki himmat nahi hue dikhane ki.Even u always insulted and hurt Daddi (she burst on Maan)

Maan : Anu Di I m asking u for solution and u r taunting me

Anu : I m not taunting u this is fact.Ur wealth any top specialist can't save ur son .Issi dault k sahaare tumne Rehaan ko apni jindgi main shaamil kiya tha na.Even not let Daddi know how u get ur son Rehaan.Per kai marz (problems) aise hote hai jiska ilaaz nahi hota.History witnesses the downfall of most powerful empires where power became reason of pain and destruction.But some times inse bhi uper Wealth of and relations faith on god can do those miracles which no one can expect (what she said Maan heard silently )

Maan : Di koi to Rasta hoga

Anu : No the door which could be way toward that final destination to save him u locked five years back with lock of ur wealth (what Anu told him that was shocking he became lifeless and fell on floor) Maan main aati hu let me check a patient uski surgery hue hai Utho tum neeche se.Try to control urself.Daddi ka kya hoga aur Rehaan ka they r with u (she tried to pull him up but no effect at las the himself got up .Anu gave water to him and after making him sit on chair she left)
