I got sometime yesterday and today and so thought of posting the next part...I'll be posting it tonight around 12...yeah...thats late, but have some unfinished work to do...

Who is he bhai...??...vicky waited impatiently to hear the name of the monster responsible for sneha's ruin, while geet just held vicky's hand. Maan, however was not knowing how to tell them. He knew vicky's nature and temprament. He also knew that right now he is very angry and could take wrong impulsive step. But he also knew they should atleast know him for their own safety.

Fine, I'll tell you, but you have to promise me that you'll not take any impulsive step in anger...maan brought his palm in front and asked him again...promise me vicky...a khurana promise...!!

But...vicky tried to persuade him, but maan was adamant...promise or no name...!!

Vicky took a deep breath to control himself and replied looking straight in his eyes...okay...he placed his hand on maan's and promised...I promise bhai...now tell me the name...!!

Maan looked at geet once and then at vicky and replied...Sandeep Mehra...!!

Geet gasped aloud as her hands flew to her mouth, while vicky looked confused with the name and geet's reaction...what...??... who is he...??...doll, you know him...??

Oh my god...!!...geet was totally out of her wits and maan saw how affected she was. He immediately took her in his arms consoling her...relax geet. Everything will be fine...!!

Maan...woh...he ruined sneha...and...now...she choked due to the tears clogging her throat, while vicky was getting anxious seeing geet sobbing so badly.

Maan somehow calmed geet and vicky brought a glass of water for her. He could see she was badly shaken. Geet just couldn't believe what she heard...Sandy...??...the guy who had almost separated her from maan and was still after her, was behind sneha's misery. She never felt the amount of rage as well as fear together, which she is feeling now.

Bhai...what's the matter...??...how does geet know him...??...vicky was getting totally impatient and maan finally turned to him to explain the whole situation. As he finished briefing vicky about sandy's ill-doings in their life, the thin fabric of vicky's control snapped and he stormed towards the door like a raging bull.

But maan knowing his brother's impulsive nature was fast enough to catch him at the door itself. Grabbing his hand maan roughly pulled vicky in and locked the door.

Leave me bhai...I'll kill that bas***d...vicky spat enraged.

Stop it vicky...!!...you just now promised...he reminded him to calm down, but vicky was beyond control.

How can you ask me to calm down bhai...??...that...that PERVETED bas***d...!!...he tried to harm you and geet, destroyed sneha's life and that pathetic excuse of man even thought to pursue doll...the nevre of him...!!...vicky yelled fuming. Geet got scared seeing him so angry and sneha was sleeping in the same room...so maan grabbed vicky's shoulders tightly and shook him to instill some sense...

First, low your voice...he spoke slowly and firmly...sneha is here only and secondly, your anger will only harm you and us and no one else...!!

Maan words did the work and vicky realized his folly and looked at sneha, who still seemed in deep sleep. Maan wanted to assure himself of vicky's actions so continued...sandy is a dangerous man, vicky...he is a criminal and even has connections from underworld. Its not that I am scared of him or anything, but we have to act with mind to defeat and conquer him. We also have to see to it that our family remain safe, that is why acting impulsively will do no good...!!

I have already made arrangements for everyone's security and I didn't tell you all before because I wanted you all to live freely without any tension or fear...maan said keeping his hand on vicky's shoulder. Vicky looked at geet, who herself was quite shaken by everything and relaxed. Going near her, he side hugged her patting her head calmly...its okay doll, we'll get him punished soon, don't worry...!!

Maan was amazed seeing vicky's change behavior for geet. He knew, if not for himself atleats for his family and friends vicky would remain calm.

Vicky,geet I want this to remain among ourselves. In no circumstances should sneha know about sandy's presence in our life. Not until its utmost necessary...!!

Both nodded understandingly.

Good. Its late now and I think we should get back to our rooms. Geet you be with sneha tonight, in case she needs something or get any anxiety attack inform us straight way, okay...??

Okay...she replied meekly. After casting a last glance at sneha, vicky left the room. Maan too followed after bidding geet good night. She locked the door and sat by sneha's side caressing her hair. Her heart went out for her friend after all that she came to know, but she made her mind to help sneha come out of her trauma at any cost. With that determination she closed her eyes.

After laying in the bed for long hours, maan finally gave up and decided to take a short walk to the terrace. The villa's terrace was exceptionally beautiful with numerous plants. It was still dawn and soft cool wind was blowing. Maan find it very relaxing.

He went ahead and stood facing the vast expanse of sea. Everything seemed so silent, but he was not sure whether it was the silence after a storm or the one which send alarm of an upcoming storm. Sighing he closed his eyes and thats when he felt her soft warm hands against his.

Geet...he opened his eyes surprise at finding her there...you here...??

Tum bhi toh yehi ho...she replied looking ahead.

Sneha...??

She is sleeping. I just thought to grab a book from my room, when saw you coming here...geet glanced at him once and then turned back to look ahead.

Can't sleep...??...maan asked in a concern tone.

Mm-hmm...she nodded and then took a deep breath and added...its all so...so scary...I just...

Hey...maan took her in his arms seeing her worried and scared and he hated seeing this expression of fear on her face...there is nothing to be scared, sweetheart. I am here na...I'll make everything alright...okay...he asked looking deeply in her eyes to which she gave a small smile and nodded.

Good and for making things right I would start my work right now by amending my biggest mistake...he spoke with a steady voice and looked at her with loads of love. Geet frowned not understanding what he was hinting at until he took hold of her right hand and caressed her beautiful bracelet's heart.

Maan...

Shh...he placed a finger on her lips...I know you in and out, love so I know the extent to which you feel for me and for things that connect you to me. You can never part with such an important symbol of our togetherness...!!

Maan stood before geet with a glint of determination, love, hope and promise in his eyes. Geet looked into his eyes deep to find out what he was trying to do. But before she could proceed, she saw maan bending down on his knees and grabing her left wrist in his hand. She narrowed her eyes not understanding what he was trying to do and then her eyes widened to the shape of saucer seeing maan opening the heart on her bracelet, taking out her engagement ring...

See geet, I won...he rotated the ring in his long fingers making the diamond sparkle with magical brightness...I have won you back, mishty...marry me...he said in his deep husky voice making geet's whole being tremble with love and passion .

Her eyes misted as maan sliped the ring back to its rightful place, which suddenly beautified it even more. Maan looked into her teary eyes and the beautiful smile adorming her lips and kissed the ring on top of her finger.

I love you geet and today I promise to always love you, be with you...if any hurdle comes in the way of our love and the trust on our love, I'll always stand by your side to face it together and to never let go you of you ever till there is a single breath left in me...he stood up and brought his lips close to hers and whispered...I promise to never give up on you or on our love...and sealed his promise with a soul searing kiss.

They kissed till the first light in the sky appeared clearing away all the darkness of the night and bringing with new hues of hope, love and togetherness. Soon the sky was clear with the appearance of orange-ish sun.

They broke apart after sometime and stayed in each other's embrace calming their breaths. Geet raised her head and looked at him with a dazzling smile on her face. After so many days maan could see his old mishty back...completely. And he was beyond ecstatic.

So, now that we are engaged again, I hope all the bans you had put on me is lifted...he spoke with mischievous eyes, while geet chuckled with a devilish smirk and pushed him running away. She ran ahead while he chased laughing and warning her. Soon maan got better of her and grabbed her waist circling her around, while geet giggled feeling ticklish.

Putting her down on her feat he leaned in and whispered...don't try to run away from me mishty...I'll always get you back...and placed a soft loving peck on her lips.

She smiled at his words and replied catching her breath...that applies to you to mister. Never ever think of going away from me again or I'll kill you...saying so she kissed his cheek and they both smiled at each other feeling their beautiful relationship freely after a long time.

Suddenly geet felt maan's hold on her loosening and his smile diminished. She could feel something was. He suddenly went stiff, but before she could ask anything, he bend down pulling her along with him and covered her with his body like a shield. Then taking out his cell from his pant he pressed a speed dial and whispered with difficulty...cover villa's terrace...emergency...alert adi...and then disconnected the call.

Maan, what happened...??...are you okay...??...why are we on the ground...??...what emergency...she panicked and maan immediately pressed her close to her...nothing...jaan...its...it.s...oaky...his breathing laboured.

Geet felt something wet on her hands that were at maan's back and pulled it out to check. She froze seeing the deep red blood on her finger coz she knew it was not hers. She instantly looked at maan's face reflecting the pain he was in...maan...blood...you are bleeding...tears appeared in her eyes feeling her life was slipping away. She tried to get up to check him, but he pressed her down with his weight.

Please let me see...she pleaded, but he simply smiled trying to relax her...it..s...al.right...mishty...

Before she could say anything else, the terrace door banged open and five to six men with guns entered the terrace. Geet's eyes widened in horror seeing them, but soon relief flooded as adi appeared behind them.

Till now maan was half unconscious and his grip on her loosened knowing she was safe. Adi rushed to them helping geet up and turning maan around. Geet gasped as she saw maan's back covered in blood as he was wearing a white cotton shirt.

Damn...adi cussed loudly and instructed a few of the men to carry maan to the car, while he made some calls.

Adi...what the hell is happening here...??...how does maan got injured...??...we were just talking and then he just pulled me down not letting me up...and then I felt his back wet...the blood...her incoherent speech was showing her inner turmoil.

Geet...control yourself...maan will be fine...by now they were in the lobby and dev, Vicky, sam and yash too reached there. The girls were not informed about anything and being 6 in the morning no one was up.

Maan was rushed to the OT as soon as they reached the hospital. Adi and dev filled up the forms and went to check the security issues of others, while Vicky, yash and sam stayed back with geet, who was totally in shock with the turn of events. Just few minutes before she got her love back and now she was on the verge of loosing it again...forever...!!

Doll...vicky placed his hand on geet's shoulders comforting her...bhai will be fine...he was getting worried seeing her state. Her dress was covered in maan's blood, while her eyes were red and puffy from all the crying and lack of sleep. She seemed so distraught.

Geet looked at Vicky and next moment break down in his arms...crying hysterically for maan...I want him Vicky...I can't loose him...I'll...I'll die without him...vicky and yash somehow made her sit on one of the benches and gave water to drink.

Control yourself, geet. Bhai is very strong, he'll be fine...tu dekhna...he said caressing her head, while she kept her eyes fixed at the door of the operation theatre. Soon dev and adi returned and the doctor too came out of OT. Everyone rushed to the doc to enquire about maan.

Doctor, how is maan...??...woh thik toh ho jayenge na...??...geet asked in a pleading voice.

See, I'll be honest with you miss. He has been hit by a bullet and has suffered from severe blood loss...the doctor informed, which gave a shock to everyone except adi...we are preparing for operation, but there are very less chances for the success of this operation...!!

What are you saying doctor...??...dev spoke in disbelief.

Yes, and as he was conscious I had informed him too, but he wants to meet miss geet and mr. Adi before his operation.. Though I was against it, but he is very adamant and not ready to undergo operation without it.

We are going to start the operation in about half an hour and you have fifteen minutes to speak with him...and yes, one of you please come with me...saying so doctor turned to a nurse beside him and gave some instruction.

Then the doctor went away with dev to his cabin, while adi entered the OT first to talk to maan. Geet was just standing there numb at the relevation, while Vicky supported her crying himself.

Adi entered the OT wearing mask and gown and saw his dearest friend lying on the table while nurses leave the room to give them privacy as requested by maan before.

Maan...he called out to him softly and stood beside him. Maan opened his eyes and saw adi looking at him with a painful expression...I am still alive, adi. Don't make such faces...and chuckled with pain.

Shut up okay...nothing will happen to you...adi said emotionally.

Okay listen adi, I need you to do something...maan became totally serious...he knows we are here and the bullet came from the sea, may be from some cruise near the shore. He is keeping a watch on us. With me here, its not safe for geet and others to be here.

Do you think they will go back leaving you here alone...??

I know that and I am not talking about sending them back. I just want you to keep an eye on everyone and I mean EVERYONE...especially geet and sneha. Call dad and mohinder uncle here and explain the situation to them along with dev and Vicky...!!...maan paused feeling acute pain in his wound and added...please take care of geet...!!

Okay maan, infact I have already doubled the security. I'll take care of them and once you're okay, we'll think about future. You just relax and get well soon...!!

Geet...send her in...!!

Adi nodded and left the room. Outside he saw geet sitting like a zombie staring at no one in particular. He went near her and shook her to came back...geet...maan wants to talk to you...go...!!

Vicky helped her to stand up and supported her till the door. She entered with shaky legs not knowing what she'll witness.

many of u asked why vicky asked the name as sneha has already told him in her story, but thats not true. sneha just refers sandy as him there as it was shown through flashback. she didn't said the name...hope its clear😊
