~~~~~~~~GHSP / MANEET~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A CHARACTER OF MAAN YOUR HUSBAND / BOYFRIEND POSSES :
My husband likes to give me silent treatment, totally ignoring me like Maan when he is angry'aur woh haan'Babaji'gussa toh unki naak pe hi rehta hai'.but best part is he can not see me in pain. Cold bhi hoga toh, green tea le le'honey lele'banayega nahi but he will keep on irritating me till I go and take something'.
Last but not least ' He is no way conventionally romantic'phool, music, movies etc he does only to pacify me once in a blue moon. He has his own style of expressing his affection by taking all my moods, tantrums and taking care of even my choti choti needs.
A CHARACTER OF GEET THAT YOU POSSES :
I am quite spontaneous'jo man mein aaya bol deti hoon and then crib over it.
ONE TRACK U WISHED TO SEE IN GHSP :
There are many but the most important one to me was Geet fulfilling her education and joining KC as a co-MD or lead architect/head designer.
I also wished they had done better job of bankruptcy track especially as that had potential of showing Geet as a supportive wife who in every sense complements Maan.
ANY INCIDENT IN YOUR LIFE THAT REMINDED U OF GHSP :
Not directly but on of the FFs by sweetu_aishu reminded me of an incident where my masi found a girl child, crying and alive in her community dustbin. We were all so shaken up and till now my heart goes out when I think about the face of that girl.
IF U WERE DIRECTOR OF GHSP :
I would not have massacred such a potent story. I would have taken a leaf out of Balika Vadhu and explored more social issues instead of making a senseless comedy. Dev should have never been forgiven. Maybe Geet herself, for her own peace could have asked Maan to divide property and send Dev to Canada for ever but a rapist living under the same roof with the victim was quite nauseous. Also, given more screen time to Maaneet as parents and Geet actually succeeding in career.
A FILM THAT YOU WISH TO SEE AS A SHOW IN TV WITH MANEET :
This is a tough one. DDLJ comes to my mind as a first choice.
~~~~~~~~ CRAZY ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
WHAT WILL YOU DO IF YOU SEE MAAN AND GEET ( AS IN FICTION CHARACTER ) IN REAL LIFE:
I think I will be totally awestruck. I will thank them for bringing such strong characters to life and request them to think about working again.
HAVE YOU HAD DREAM ABOUT MANEET IF YES EXPLAIN :
I usually dream them in context of my FFs or some other FFs which I love
YOUR FAVORITE SCENE IN GHSP AND TELL WHAT WILL YOU DO IF YOU ARE STUCK IN THAT SITUATION :
It is very very tough to pick one fav scene out of GHSP'not possible for me.
DO YOUR PARENTS / COUSIONS / HUSBAN TEASE YOU FOR BEING CRAZY ABOUT A SHOW WHAT DO YOU ANSWE THEM : -
No one knows my craziness. My husband knows I write but I try to avoid any talks around it. For some reason I feel very shy.
ONE THING THAT YOU HATE ABOUT GHSP ( MUST ANSWER ) :
Forgiveness of Dev
~~~~~~~ FF ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
INSPIRATION FOR FIRST FF / SS / OS :
Muskanp and her Deewangi and Khamoshi'Not only she gave us gems but her abilities intimidated as well as inspired me. She is my yardstick and a silent mentor. There are some authors who may have more eloquent way of writing, but her stories and simple language just gives another meaning to the emotions I feel as a reader.
ANY INCIDENT OR STORY OF FF THAT RELATE YOUR LIFE :
I have shades of me in my own FF but nothing very particular
ANY CHARACTER OF YOUR FF THAT RESEMBLES YOU : Same as above
YOUR FAVORITE AMONG YOUR WORKS ( GIVE LINK AS WELL ) :
Ha ha ha'I have only two FFs yaar'ab usmein se kya fav choose karoon.
Both my works ' Till Death Do Us Part (completed) and Vivah (ongoing) '
BEST COMMENT YOU HAVE EVER GOT FOR ANY WORK :
There are few again difficult to choose. But I love it when my readers say that I bring smile and positivity in their life through my FFs. My day is made if I can bring even a single smile on someone's face.
HOW YOUR LIFE CHANGED AFTER YOU STARTED WRITING :
Busy as ever. I don't have a natural flair of a writer so it takes me quite some time to write each chapter and it is tough to carve that time out. Initially my work and family was also suffering and hence I have decided to not write/read FFs on weekend.
MESSAGE TO READERS :
I love you all. I was always an average student in school and very shy. Though I did find my groove in college and in my work but I was again very lonely when I came to UK. My social life was zero when I had joined IF. But when I started writing, I got such lovely friends who have encouraged me so much. You guys don't know how much your love and appreciation means to me as a person. Thank you so much.
What is the most demeaning thing said about you as a writer?
I am probably one of the lucky few, who did not have to face wrath of any other member.
How do you react to a bad review of one of your stories?
Well mostly, it has only helped me in writing better. As I said before, I am not a natural writer. So comments only help me in improving. I don't think there is anything as bad review.
Would you ever write your own autobiography?
No...I don't think I have such an interesting life.
Are there any occupational hazards to being a writer?
You are in your own dream world most of the time and this can be irritating to your family
If you were going to commit the perfect murder, how would you go about it and would you write about it?
Babaji'chi 'chi'Me and murder. Nahi yaar'I can't even hit a bug. I caught a snake once, that also, I used to teach a lesson to a boy and you are asking me about murder'.I never misuse, just make proper use. J
Do you ever create the perfect situation and mood to help you write?
No, all I need is my lappy and some time.
How do you handle a writer's block?
Sleep and dream.
What is your writing bug, how often do you write?
Whenever I get time but I like to write in advance. So I always keep bank of 5-10 chapters at any given time.
What are the most important attributes to remaining sane as a writer?
Dream less and debunk your mind as soon as possible.
Have you ever imagined yourself as a character in a story?
No, not really. Some parts may be inspired by what I have gone through or noticed/observed.
Do you research your stories and backgrounds?
No, I just use my current knowledge. Being from Delhi and studying from Punjab has naturally given me advantage of knowing the background.
How much impact does your childhood have on your writing?
Not much
How do you feel about being interviewed?
I feel honored and a little embarrassed. Trust me I have never got so much attention ever before. And yes, this is my first interview of any kind.
I wanted to ask u dat how u wrote till death do us apart...as it is d best story i have read when i was silent reader..i wanted to ask u how u imagined d characters to be like this if it is Geet's disease or Maan's love towards d Sam..and when he got betrayal d emotions which u explained abt Maan and after meeting Geet how he felt and i too wanna ask dat how u got d idea to make Maan's father as a khrana also..and i want to know how u thot of portraying Naintara here...did ur readers helped u for some extent or it was ur self attempt..u do know dat readers help for some extent by giving their opinion to turn d story it was done like that or it was ur self attempt..
Story was completely my own attempt and it was a story I had been visualizing and dreaming from a long time. May a blend of many many movies.
Yes opinions have definitely helped. I have to mention about the comment I got from mystique_girl. She pointed out that I was intially giving more focus on event then the emotions attached to it. It was a very valuable opinion because that changed me as a writer..
ur ongoing Vivah ff is mindblowing and wanted to ask dat how u got d idea..know dat so many people had seen Vivah film but how u decided d character of Prem in Maan...in dat film Prem was comfortable with Poonam but in here Maan is nt dat expressible of his emotions he's opening now to Geet after realising his true love..then where u got d portraying idea of Maan like in Vivah...and love ur both ff's and if u have other works too then am so overwhelmed to read dat too...:D
Vivah's inspiration was my sadistic thought that what would have happened if Poonam had died in the movie. She was badly burnt and how it would have affected Prem if Poonam had died. So I wanted to write a sequel with an assumption that Poonam did not survive and can such a person find happiness again.
y0u are an amazing writer and ur w0rk is just I0ved by aII, w0uId I0ve if we get a dark I0ve st0ry fr0m urside. y0u have been a great writer with ur sweet I0ve st0ries but reaIIy w0uId I0ve t0 see s0me dark st0ry c0ncept fr0m u. Can we get a chance where u can write s0mething Iike tat
Well, I seriously think that I may not be able to do justice to a dark story. For me Maan is a hero'a role model and though I enjoy reading dark stories but it will be tough for me to bring out an aggressive Maan. I am not a natural writer and I don't have any real life inspiration for such a story.
Always so much positivity in your story ... defo opening ur PM gives me smile that lasts till i read the whole update ... how do u manage that ?
Thanks Dear. Well I am really glad that I can make someone happy because in the end, that is the goal'isn't it
In both FFs family plays beautiful part is that because you love ur family ?
I do love my family a lot and somewhere yearn for their presence as well. Nowadays, living in nuclear families, I miss all the fun of summer vacations which I used to have with my cousins and siblings.
I haven't seen VIVAH but love ur story so do u think it can be made as a sequel ? if yes who u want in the movie ( don't say GC or DD)
Yes, it could be made into a sequel specially if they show Poonam succumbed to her injuries. I still think Shahid will be best for a role of Prem and off course one and only Kareena Kapoor as pataka mast maula Geet to bring him out of his own misery.
The different plots that u have shown in ur FF (both till death and Vivah) was there any particular track wherein u had to think twice before posting it? If yes then what was it and why were u in two minds before posting that update?
I don't think there was any track I had difficulty in posting because I always etch my plots before hand. But yes, I had difficulty writing the entire Naintara track in "Till Death do us Part" and showing a man's vulnerability after being accused of a heinous act and that too in front of his own family and love. It was very emotional part and though Geet has been molested etc in FFs before but abuse of Maan was something very new. Also, whole psychologist track was difficult as again I have no real life experience and I don't even know a psychologist.
Which is the best gift that u feel ur FFs have bestowed on u? Have u got something precious after u became an established FF writer?
There is only one answer to this question Piya and I think you know. I got such great friends which I could have never thought of especially at my age. I became Di to my friends and my friends are the most precious thing I got thru my FFs. Before that also, I used to read a lot of FFs but hardly had emotional connection with many. But writing gave me an identity which led to some of you being so close to me emotionally.
