PART 1
4 Years later...
She unlocked the door and rushed in, kept her bag aside, the climate outside was highly irritating ..She had to roam all over in the scorching heat for whole 2 hours and now when she is back there's so electricity inside, she kept tapping the switch of the fan hoping the fan would start rotating and she would be blessed with some air that would relax her but probably things were not moving according to her simply increasing the levels of irritation. She went near the fridge ,took a bottle and gulped half of the bottle in one sip. She was badly sweating ,so she went in the washroom to have a shower.
She opened the shower and let the water flow on her ...Though the water was hot due to the aggressive sun ,the feel of those droplets on her skin itself relieved her from irritation.
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath , she remembered all the incidents that took place in these 2-weeks ,a lot of things have changed forming a new path for her to move. Things were moving in a fast pace ,such pace was not a new thing in her life...things were always like that. She would blink and everything would change ..Last 5 years of her life have been a roller-coaster ride.
She dressed herself in a simple white kurta. She moved towards the study table and again went through her appointment letter . She looked at the sheet of paper that was going to change her life at least to some extent and hopefully for the better this time.
**Scene shifts**
Maan ktini baar kaha hai humne aapse ,itni der raat tak kaam karte rahenge bina lunch yiye..aapki tabyat kaharab ho jayegi bte.
Dadi ...I'm fine..Today I had two meetings one after the other ,so didn't get time to have lunch. There's nothing to worry.
He said and went to his room.
What should I do with this person..He has become a workaholic..thinks about nothing else. Sometimes his attitude towards things scares me . He doesn't even talk to anyone else openly..even in office ,everyone is scared of him and they don't even dare open their mouth unnecessarily..How urgently Maan needs to come out this seriousness of life and has to take few things lightly.
***The next day***
Geet..Geet...Geet...Pari came running towards her. I'm so happy for you darling! Today you are going to accompany me to the office and you'll directly work under Maan Singh Khurana!! Oh My God!! Dhak Dhak!! You are damn lucky Geet!! How dreamy!!
Pari..how strange is that , sometimes ou scare me by narrating his khaufnaak gestures , his strictness and all and now what ??!! You are "Dreamy"ing!! said Geet while nodding her head hopelessly.
Geet jo bhi ho..these all are trivial things!
Pari..ok baba ok..now let's get ready and move fast ..agar late ho gaye na..toh naukri join karne se phle hi chali jaayegi!!
Maan Singh Khurana..Geet mumbled.
She picked up the magazine lying on Pari's table and looked at the cover page which had Maan's photograph on it.
She smiled..Things have surely changed. She felt a sudden shiver run through her spine while looking at his picture.
She was of course nervous. A lot of things were running in her mind ...Maan was no more just the Maan she had known . He is now the Maan Singh Khurana who is nothing like the old person.
It was obvious for anyone to get nervous on the first day but it was something more than the First day feeling that she has in her. She already knew him but was feeling so strange thinking about how would she face this new Maan..It was not going to be easy for her.
Maan was closing his shirt buttons..thinking about the letter that he has signed recently with name Geet Handa written on that.
She was about to enter his life once again but this time he very well knew how to handle her. He will not let her affect his life like she did years ago. How things have changed ..Now she is nothing more than an employee to him. She soon brushed all his thoughts and stopped thinking about her.
