Geet smiled faintly, her eyes glistened with tears, as she wiped them away, her eyes went to Maan who was stood on the second floor leaning over the banister, she could tell by his face expressions, he must've heard everything. His eyes were proud to call her his wife, Maan couldn't be happier to know that his wife trusted him more than anyone in this family. Though everyone wanted to believe him, it's the situation that made them all think Maan may have been in the wrongs.

He closed his eyes and curtly nodded letting her know how much he loves and respects her for her belief in him. Geet smiled with her eyes filling up accepting his love.

Geet entered their room after a while, maan was stood at the balcony, his back towards geet, he sensed geet was behind him, he wanted to say so much yet had no words, what can he say, nothing he says will be sufficient enough to express himself, express his love and respect for his wife. Being a stranger a few weeks back now a part of his being... his heart and his soul... Today he understood what a wife is...Jeevan saathi... one whom is there in sadness, happiness, in times of need, in times of illness, she's there for you to love and give love to you... she's there to support you, hold your hand, guide you in the right when you are in the wrong, for Maan, Geet is love, life, happiness, she may have flaws but for him she was perfection...

Maan felt her arms wrapping around his torso from behind, he took a deep breath, as if all his tension from his body evaporated with her touch,

"I'm sorry" Geet whispered hugging him tight, maan wanted to turn but she held him tight, his hands went on top of hers which rested on his chest,

"kis ke liye?"

"hum ne aap par shak kiye"

Maan turned round firmly, taking Geet in his embrace, "don't ever ever say that.." he gently pulled her out, looking straight at one another, "Geet how can you say you suspected me when you yourself freed me of the burden and guilt which had settled in me? agar tum nahi hote main Amma se, tumse, apne bhai behen se nazar kabhi nahi mila pata... agar shak karte toh tumhara shak jaiyez bhi hai, mujhe khud pata nahi ta kal raat kya hua, kabhi bhi apne aap ko doshi mat tehrana.." he spoke cupping her face in his palms, Geet nodded,with tears cascading down,

He pressed his forehead to hers,

"kuch pal ke liye mujhe laga main tumhe kho diya" Geet nodded no, her voice got stuck in her throat, she held his hand, turning her head she placed a soft kiss on his palm.

Sameera knocked on their door, Geet wiped at her tears and walked over to open the door.

"bhabhi neeche chaliye amma ne kahan aap dono aakar breakfast kijiye"

"hum aa rahe hai"

Sameera nodded and left, geet walked towards Maan, clasping his hand into hers, "chale?" she asked.

"tum jao... Mujhe fresh hona hai"

Geet was helping set the table, the turmoil of the morning events rushed through her. Her whole world would've changed in the split second, she wouldn't have been able to save her relationship with Maan or her in laws had it not been for the trust she had on Maan. For a moment she believed he'd cheated her, but how could he? He wouldn't do such a despicable thing, he loved her as she loved him, their times together proves that. But she knew that the trust they have isn't strong yet, she feared if something was to happen again it could raise doubts, and she didn't want that, she wanted to secure her relationship, secure it so tight that no one, no one will be able to come between them.

"Suniye" Geet called out to Maan as he walked out the mansion, heading towards the car.

"haan?"

"Sameera aur Hena ke kapre chunne jana hai aaj, aap kya jaldi aa sakte hai?"
"mujhe jana hoga kya?" he asked as he took his briefcase off her

"Nahi, lekin hume pata nahi hoga na ke aap kya pehnenge"

"Kuch bhi chunn lo mere liye"

"Par hum chahte hai ke aap humare saat aaye, aur yeh aapki akhri kuch pal hai apne behen ke saat"

"Teek hai, kitne baje jana hai?"
"paanch baje"

"Teek hai pohoch jaoonga" he pecked her cheek and got into the car.

"Amma aapne bulaya?" Geet peeped into Saira's room after knocking.

"Haan bete andar ao"

She entered, and took a seat beside her.

"Bete hum chahte hai ke aap apne padhai ka koi faida uta le"

"Ji?" Geet was confused.

"Geet aapne padha, lekin uska faida uta nahi rahi hai"

"par amma..."

"Hum sab padhte hai, uska koi faida hota haina?"

"Ji"

"Toh hum chahte hai ke aap apne padhai ka faida utaye, geet aapke amma abbu aapke liye kitne sapne dekhe honge, shayad woh chahte te ke aap kuch kare lekin shadi ke hone ke baad yeh mumkin nahi hai" Saira paused, caressing Geet's cheek lovingly.

"Hum chahte hai ke aap kuch kare"

She nodded understanding but what could she possibly do? and Will Maan allow her.

"Bhabhi chaliye" Sameera pulled Geet as she walked out of KM, she wanted to rush to the malls wanting to choose things for the wedding.

"Hum aa rahe hai, tum chalo" Geet told her wanting to make a call to Maan reminding him to come join them.

"No"

"Sameera hume tumhare bhai ko call karna hai"

"Aap bro ko bulana chahte hai?"

"Haan"

"No ways, bro chahenge ke hum shopping do minute ke andar shopping kar de"

"Sameera"

"Nahi please"

"humne unhe subha hi bata diya hai"

"Bhabhieee" she whined.

"Sameeerrraaa" Geet mimcked her name back.

"I dont like you at the moment" Sameera moaned as she settled in the car.

Geet chuckled and settled next to her as she took her phone out and made a call to Maan, Kabir and Hena joined, Kabir settled at the drivers seat with Hena sitting on the passenger seat.

They were shopping when Geet's phone rang.

"Hello"

"Geet main hoon"

"Aap kahan hai? hum yahan aapke intezaar kar rahe hai"

"bas pohuch gaya hoon, tum loug kahan ho?"

"Hum xyz ke andar hai"

"teek hai main aa raha hoon"

"Ji" she cut the call and looked at Sameera who was scowling.

"Tumhe kya hua?"
"bhabhi..." She whined

"Kya?"
"bro ko kyun bulaya? pata hai ab hum adhe gante ke andar wapas ghar jana hoga" She moaned, crossing her arms across her chest.

"Aisa kuch nahi hoga"

"Hoga"

"Nahi hoga"

"Hoga"

"Sameera nahi hoga, hum par vishwaas nahi hai tumhe?"

"Vishwaas hai na bhabhi lekin mujhe aapke andar ki patni par nahi"

"Sameera Khurana! aap dekhiye ga jab tak tumhari shopping khatm nahi ho jati hum mein se koi ghar nahi jayega, OK?"
"teek hai lekin aap bro se kehdijiye"

Geet rolled her eyes at her, "ab waqt barbaad mat karo, jaake kapre dekho"

"yeh kaisi hai bhabhi?" Hena gleefully asked showing the chiffon saree to Geet and Sameera.

"No"

All of them turned to see Maan walking over.

"kyun?" Hena pouted

"Kyun ki yeh red hai, red apni shadi main pehen rahe ho, kya tum chahte ho ke mehndi main red bhi pehno?"

"Arre haan" she turned and asked the saleswoman for another colour in the same saree.

"Tumne kuch chuna hai?" Maan asked sameera

"woh... main na aur bhi dukhaan dekhni hai"

"Kitna shopping karna chahte ho? ek hi dukhaan se le lo, das pandra dukhaan jaane ki kya zarurat hai?" Maan asked

Sameera frowned at Geet, making a face

"Sameera jaake tum bhi dekho" Geet stepped in, sameera slipped away from them.

"Usse kyun bej diya?"

"Kyun aap yahan bhi shuru hogaye hai, dekhiye" she paused, wrapping her arm around his and walked him away from them letting the others shop peacefully without Maan's gaze on them. "Unke shaadi hai, yeh sab waqt lagta hai"

"Geet tumhari bhi shadi huyi na?"

"Aap jante nahi hai, hum din mein chaar paanch gante shopping mall mein guzari hai"

"Tum aurten ko itne shopping karne ki kya zarurat hai?"

"Agar hum aise shopping karte hai na toh sirf aapke liye"

"Accha? aur woh kyun?"

"Kyun ki sirf aapke hi liye sajh dajh sakte hai na?" she answered.

"sahi kahan tumne" he nodded.

"Chaliye hum kahi bait te hai, aur un logoun ko shoppping karne dete hai araam se"

He agreed, Geet text Sameera letting them know that she and Maan are in the nearby cafe, and told her to do the shopping peacefully.

As they sat, Maan ordered coffee for himself and a tea for Geet.

"Kuch aur khana chahte ho?" Maan asked before he sent the waiter away, She nodded negatively.

After the waiter left, Geet decided to tell Maan about what Saira said.

"Woh aaj amma ne humse keh rahe te hum aapne padhai ka koi toh faida utaye"

"Hmm.. aur?"

"Woh kehrahe hai ke hum koi kaam kare"

Maan smiled, "main sirf yehi poochungi tum kya karna chahte ho?"

"Aap mind nahi karenge?"

"Main kyun mind karu Geet, tumne padha toh uska faida utao"

"lekin kuch loug hai jo apne biwi ko kaam karte huye accha nahi lagta"

"Woh kuch loug hai, Maan Singh Khurana nahi, Tum kya chahte ho Geet?"

She was about to answer but coming to think she didn't know.

"Pata nahi" She told him honestly.

Maan waited till the waiter left after placing their cups down, he pressed his hand to hers.

"Tum jo bhi faisla lo ge mera saat hamesha hoga"

"yahi toh hume pata hai"

"agar kaam karna chahte ho, toh mujhe bata do main khud tumhare liye ek acchi kaam dundhunga" he sipped his coffee.

She rested her head on his shoulder, "Ghar kaun sambhalega?"
"amma, mami sab hai, Sameera aur Hena chale jayenge aur tum akele ho jaoge, aur zyada kaam bhi nahi hoga, ghar baite baite bore ho jaoge"

Geet took a sip of her tea and contemplated over if she wanted to work, true after sameera and hena leave she'd be bored at home, but if she was to work as what?

"Agar hum shadi ke baad kaam karna chahe par kya karenge?"

"Geet tumhari shadi ho chuki hai, pir se shadi nahi kar rahe ho" Maan joked.

"Aap na..." She tugged his forearm.

"ok.. kya banna chahte ho?"
"Pata nahi"
"Koi preference hai?"
she nodded no.

"Kaam karna chahte ho?" she shrugged her shoulders.

Maan chuckled, "Lagta hai meri biwi bohut hi confused hai?"
Geet nodded agreeing.

Maan took another sip of his coffee as he thought of what Geet might like and what she could do.

"Mere saat kaam karna chahte ho?"

She was stunned to hear that, Maan who'd never let anyone enter the office from the family was now asking her did she want to work with him.

"Par.."

"I know, I don't allow anyone to work at KC, but you can work provided you accept having security guards with you"

"humare saat hamesha honge kya?"
"Haan, main ek female wali ko bhi tumhare liye appoint kar dungi"

"Par wahan karungi kya?"

"Nadia meri PA ek mahine baad chali jaa rahi hai, aur mujhe ek nayi PA ki zarurat hogi"

"Hum pehle amma se baat karke aapko batayenge" Geet answered, she needed to talk to saira about Maan's offer then getting her view she'd proceed.

"teek hai" he took the last sip of his coffee when Sameera along with Hena and Kabir joined.

"Hogaya?" maan asked seeing them take a seat.

"Nahi bro, Sameera ko aur bhi shopping karni hai" Hena answered.

Maan rolled his eyes, "Ek kaam karlo pura mall hi khareed lo?" he mocked.

"That would be my dream come true" Sameera spoke as if already day dreaming.

"Sameera, Asr namaaz ka waqt hone jaa raha hai, iss liye tum shopping jald hi khatm karo" Geet said as she remembered it was nearly the time for prayer

Maan looked at his watch, "Sameera jitne bhi shopping karli hai wohi kaafi hai, agar aur bhi shopping karni hai kal wapas chali aana"

She pouted then agreed, knowing Maan didn't like delaying any prayers at all.

As they walked back towards the car, Maan stopped half way telling them to go into their car as he had some work. He took Geet with him, as the others left, he entered a shop.

"Aap yaha kyun aaye hai?"

"Kuch dekha ta, uske liye bina ghar nahi jaa raha hoon"

"Kya hai?"

"That my wife is a surprise, stay here I'll be back"

He walked to the counter leaving Geet near the entrance of the shop, purchasing something he joined her.

"Kya hai?" she asked eyeing the bag.

"Pata chale ga, ghar pehlo chalo"

She followed him to the car, as they settled geet tried to peep into the bag.

"Geet"

"Hume dekhna hai"

"Dekhoge, tumhare liye hi hai"

"Hum dekh sakte hai?" she asked after a bit.

"No"

"Please" she asked after a mere two second gap.

"Geet jaan ghar jaake dekhoge"

She pouted then nodded.

Geet was occupied with cooking when she arrived, she was in the kitchen when Kabir came.

"Bhabhi"

"Haan?"

"Aap mujhe pyar karte hai?"
"kya?"

"Bhabhi bataye na?"

"Devar ji kya chahte hai aap?" she asked realising he wanted something.

"Nahi bhabhi bataye na?"

"Haan bohut pyar aakhir sirf ek hi toh devar hai"

"toh main aapki ek laadla devar hoon?"

"Kabir bataoge?" she asked as she stirred the curry.

"Well... you see ek ladki hai"

"Mmhhmm?" she hummed nodding.

"Aur usse main sameera aur hena ke shadi main bulana chahti hoon, aur jab woh aaye aapko sirf.."

"Mujhe usse dekhna hain, right?" She interrupted guessing he wanted her to check the girl out if she was suitable for this family.

"Haan..." he bit his bottom lip.

"Pasand karte ho usse?" she asked.

"todha todha.."

She smiled, "teek hai... lekin aap hume pehle bataye aap kuch galat nahi kar rahe hai"

"Bhabhi hum dono sirf dost hai, maine usse bataya nahi"

"teek hai, hum aapke saat hai, lekin hume aapki bhai ko yeh baat batani hogi"

Kabir hesitated, "Bhabhi lekin..."

"Kabir agar kuch galat nahi kar rahe ho, darni ki baat nahi hai, hum aapke bhai se kuch nahi chupayenge, unhe haq hai"

"Par bhabhi agar bhai nahi maane toh?"

"Woh sirf waqt hi batayega, kabir agar woh nahi maane uska koi waja toh hogi na?"

He nodded agreeing, but was still hesitant.

"Par jab tak hum khud ladki ko nahi dekhte hum batayenge nahi deal?"

"Deal" he answered happily.
"Kaunsi deal chal rahi hai?"

Both turned their heads to see Maan, his eyebrows raised at them.

"Kuch nahi bhai..." Kabir answered quickly and was quick enough to leave before Maan asked anything further.

"Kya baatein chal rahe hai?" He walked towards her, as she turned back to the cooking.

"Bhabhi devar ki baat hai" She teased.

"Accha?"

She nodded, grabbing a piece of cucumber and biting into it.

"fine... nahi puchunga" he took the other half of cucumber off her and popped it into his mouth.

"Hum aapko waqt aane par batadenge"

"Teek hai... khair chalo dekhna nahi hai kya?"
"kya?"

"Jo maine liya hai"

"Ab? Ab toh hum khana paka rahe hai?"

He looked at the dishes she'd cooked, "khana pak gaya hai"

"Haan lekin yeh nahi paka abhi tak" She pointed at the dish on the cooker.

"Kitna waqt lagega?"

"Bees (20) minute"

"teek hai, khane ke baad hi dikha deta hoon"
"ok"

"Amma se baat huyi?"

"Nahi abhi tak waqt nahi mila, hum aaj raat hi baat karlenge"

He nodded, "Ok... main study jaa raha hoon"
