Hey guys x
Well... where do I start?
I have so much to say yet so little .. haha
anywayy... You guys can call me princess as that's what my beloved family call me :) . I'm quite young and was born and bred in the UK yet with DESI origins! I've never been to in to the whole dramas and serials concept. But still, I watch a few here and there and prefer to read about them on I. I have been a silent reader for almost a year now and have finallyyy got the guts to make a membership and ... V OILA.. here I am now; typing my very first post! :D eeepp... lol
Anyway... BASICALLY! I am a BIG FAN of creative writing and LOVE LOVE LOVE to write (ever since I could hold a pen). I always jot a few short stories when I'm bored but keep them to myself. NOW, I have decided to enlighten all you out there with the gift of my creativity.

pahaha anyhoo..
I wanted to start with an SS inspired by the GREAT AND GIFTED WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE (big fan). His play the taming of the shrew is EXCEPTIONAL and I would love to write based on the same concept.
If you haven't read it... WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH YOUR LIFE??? lol joookkeee you should read it. I greatly recommend it. But if you're not into all that, I'll just tell you. It's about an extremely rich and handsome man named Petruchio who is quite ruthless and has an attitude the size of Mt.Everest. He gets married to a woman called Katherina who is a very STRANGE character. She can be quite mean, spoilt and violent. But, I LIKE HER! I think she's witty and confident and can stand up for herself. The play is about how they fall in love and he tames her from a wild woman to caring and affectionate.
SO... I wanted to write an SS based on this with a similar. BUT there's no point if you guys aren't interested so PLZ PLZ PLZ let me know whether I should write this . Thank you mwah xxx

Well, I
felt that our beloved Maaneet were the most suited for this role. MSK does
remind me a lot of Petruchio (the protagonist from the play). However, Geet is
much more 'civilised' than the Kate from the play but I'm sure I can tweak that
a little. SO here we go..
Geet -
(as Kate)
Geet is
known in HP (village) as the full on 'mast' girl who totally does not fit into
social norms of Indian society. She is bold, independent and feisty! She stands
up against the men in the house and is as brave as Napoleon! She is
unfortunately bound by the bonds she shares with her beloved father, a rich
landowner. She can never deny him. No matter how much she tries, she ends up
doing as he says in most matters. The rest of the world sees Geet as an outcast,
as a wild 'shrew' and she's disliked by many due to her attitude.
Maan – (as Petruchio)
A ruthless
business man who has only a few aims in life:
Money
His ego
More money
He has
spent his entire life building these. He's very rich as he inherited the
business from his father who left him recently. His father was the one of the
few figures he was fond of in his life and he has just passed away. Maan is
now, thanks to his Daadi, on a search for a bride to fulfil his father's last
wish. However, he won't take any Tom, Dick or Harry as his wife (partly because
he's not interested in wedding a man). After all, this is MSK, a wealthy idol
in society! Besides, he's sick of meeting the usual shy, timid, quiet women his
Daadi has introduced to him. He needs someone with a spark to counteract his
attitude; he needs a challenge; he needs Geet Handa.
MOHINDER HANDA – This is Geet's father who loves both his
daughters greatly. He is very rich and owns lots of properties around India. However,
he has strict orthodox Indian values. He sees the women of the house as
inferior who should obey his orders.
NANDINI HANDA – This is Geet's younger sister. She is also
beautiful like Geet but completely OPPOSITE! She is timid, quiet and fearful.
She lacks confidence, authority and power. She is the standard pretty damsel in
distress who would be a 'good little wife' for a dominating man.
DEV KHURANA – Maan's younger brother who is hopelessly in
love with Nandini but cannot wed her as she is younger to Geet who is still
single. Plus, his bro is still a bachelor and he would like to wait for him to
get married first.
DAADIMA - Just like in GHSP, she wants her grandchildren
to get settled in life to live peacefully so she can pass away in peace. She is
the only one who can order Maan… kind of
