Chapter 12

Geet prepared food for Rehaan becoz she had to take it with her.Around 1:25 she reached school.Where Maan was already waiting for Rehaan n Geet too.He came toward her finding she was out of car now.

Maan: Ms Handa how r u ? (He had forgotten what had happened some where he thinks Geet was rite so he was very normal)

Geet: I m fine...yeh Rehaan k liye (handing over tiffin to Maan she said)

Maan: Thanx Ms Handa

Geet: Plz Mr Khuraana don say this again.Need not to b formal

Maan: okey..need not b formal...U can ask me Maan

Geet: Ji ? (she was amazed how he had been changed in hours)

Maan: Ji

Geet:Okey so don ask me Miss Handa also jst Geet (she flashed a smile)

Maan: okey Geet jaisa aap kahe

Geet: Aap nahi tum...aap main keh sakti hu..aap mujhe se badde hai.

Maan: Main badda hu apne..I mean tumne yeh estimate kaise laga liya...(he placed his one hand on waist)

Geet: Its not a big deal.Rehaan 5 years ka hai as all kg kids r.Yahan tak mujhe pata hai u r in this business for 10 years to its clear aap 35 to 40 k to hongay he (she teased )

Maan: No No Geet aap oh I mean tum estimate sahi...(before he could complete Geet stops)

Geet: I m rite ? (she giggled)

Geet: Oh per apke in kaale baalon(black hair) ka raaz kya hai..which brand u use (she teased )

Both stared each other for some time n then burst in laughter.

Maan: Mere black hair ka raaz apne cosmetologist se push kar bata sakta hu..who is my only stylist also from last 29 years or I mean since my birth

Geet: Aap janam se he aise hai...mera matlaab from my bith u started to wear suits..cut ur hair..or hav stubble (she winked hiding her face with her one hand not to show him )

Maan: Kar lijiye mazaak aab keh kya sakta hu kush kaha to fir se shuru ho jaayegi (he mumbled )

Geet: Jo kehna hai keh lijiye I don mind...waise school bell has been rung challe (she flashed a smile )

Maan: Sure (Maan first placed tiffin at back seat of car..locking it followed Geet to school gate)

First attendant handed over Rehaan to Maan n then Mannat to Geet.Maan waited for Geet n Mannat.

Maan: He is Rehaan Geet..Mannat se to main mil he chukka hu..met my son

Geet: To aap hai Rehaan (looking at Rehaan Geet bent on her knees)

Rehaan: aap kon

Maan : Rehaan yeh Mannat ki momi hai..bahut azeeb hai Rehaan apko by face nahi jaanta

Rehaan: Aap Mannat ki Mommi ho meri nahi (he was much sad)

Geet: Beta main Mannat ki momi hu per aap aisa kyo keh rahe hai main apki momi nahi..apki momi to aur hai na (she was surprised why he said so...n cupped his face)

Mannat: Momi ...Rehaan ki Momi nahi hai to humne kaha tha k jo Mannat ki momi hai wo Rehaan ki bhi hai ..ho na (she said with much hop)

Maan n Geet both understood why Rehaan said so.Poor creature missing his mother

Geet: Ha beta Mannat ki momi apki momi..agar aap mujhe momi kehna chahte ho aap keh sakte ho( she hugged him tightly with tear filled eyes)

Mannat: Momi Rehaan k pass to aab momi bhi hai..per Mannat k Pass Papa nahi hai..Rehaan ne humse paka kaha tha Mannat ki Momi Rehaan ki momi aur Rehaan k Papa Mannat k 'Mere Papa Maan hai ' (she made pity face in hop to get same response from Maan)

Maan:'Mannat k 'Mere Papa Maan'

Geet: Beta he is uncle

Mannat: No he is Papa...Mannat k 'Mere Papa Maan'9she yelled to make them understand )

Geet: Mannat tum to hamara keh kar bolti ho to aab aise kyo bol rahi ho mere..

Mannat: Rehaan ne bola agar Mannat kahe 'Hamare Papa Maan' to uska meaning hai wp Rehaan k bhi aur Mannat k bhi Papa hai...hamare Papa to tabhi kehte hai jab brother sister ho Rehaan k real wale papa aur hai Mannat k aur hai isliye Rehaan k bhi wo 'Mere Papa Maan 'hai aur Mannat k bhi but real waale nahi

Both were surprised how both kids hav created their own assumptions.For Geet it was easy to accept this to b mother But for Maan it was not easy.

Maan try to distract Mannat. Saying he had to attend an urgent meeting n he left taking Rehaan with out answering Mannat .

Mannat: Momi aap Rehaan ki 'Meri Momi Geet' ho to Rehaan k 'Mere Papa Maan' ..Mannat k 'Mere Papa Maan' kyo nahi hai (poor girl rubbed her tear filled eyes)

Geet: Beta he is not ur Papa jaise main sirf apki momi hu...ha Rehaan apki mujhe momi kahta hai to main real wali momi to apki he hu..per it is not okey na k aap Rehaan k Papa ko force karo to b ur Papa

Mannat: TO fir Rehaan bhi apko momi nahi kahega

Geet: No its not good isme Rehaan ka kya kassor.Promise me aap Rehaan ko apki momi ko momi kehne dengi..Uncle bhi apse pyar karegay butr beta don force him to b ur Papa

Mannat: But momi (she was sobbing)

Geet: Dekho apki momi kon hai 'apki Nani' rite but mausi bhi humse kitna lov karti hai per apki momi unko mausi kehti hai na(she hugged her )

Mannat: Ha

Geet: waise he uncle apse pyar kare-gay but its not possible k aap unko Papa kaho...

Mannat: Per momi 'Mere Papa Maan' kyo nahi hai(she rubbed her head to Geet's neck)

Geet: Mannat ab royo mat Momi ne apke liye special banaya hai chale aab

Mannat: okey

Geet lifted her n she put her arms around Geet's neck.Both mother n daughter had tears.As usual Mannat understood she hurt her mother.So she was quite now.But Geet she was thinking 'is Mannat such big now to question her about her father or she was gonna face it soon'

She placed Mannat at back seat with her where driver was waiting
