The hall reverberated with the sound of clappings and cheerings which brought geet back from her trance and she realized that it was not a dream but a beautiful reality. Maan actually proposed to her and that too infront of the whole world...!!

Her eyes widened as the realization dawned on her and maan chuckled seeing his mishty finally understanding what transpired between them a few seconds ago. He leaned closer and pressed his lips to her forehead softly and whispered with utmost love...

I love you mishty...I love you so very much and you have made me so happy today...!!

Geet smiled as she felt his touch again and hear his words. They had a soothing effect on her as well as sent goosebumps throughout her body. Maan chuckled seeing the blush on her cheeks, but before he could say anything their parents approached them...

Sneha was totally shocked...literally...watching the scene infront of her...her friend and her boss...the Maan Singh Khurana proposed GEET and that too like this.

Her mind was blank as if she has seen some sought of ghost. She was so oblivious that she didn't realize that someone was holding her for more than a minute. But as soon as the lights came back and the sound of applause reach her ears, she came back to reality and realized the situation she was in.

Her head shot up to find two emrald colour eyes staring down at her with some deep emotions, which was beyond her understanding. But when she saw no movement from his side, she cleared her throat to draw his attention and the irony was that is attention was on her only...!!

Vicky moved towards the main door waiting impatiently for neha. Though neither neha nor his father has promised about her arrival, yet he was confident and would wait till last. He didn't know why but he was very excited about the idea of her coming to his house as in the case of all his previous gfs, he always used to avoid of their coming to KM. But here his heart was jumping with anticipation.

As he stood by the gate suddenly the lights went off and he knew it was time for his bhai's surprise.

Oh god...!!...finally...a big smile crept up his lips at the thought of witnessing his elder brother's confession to his doll. He turned around slowly, but bumped into someone and instinctly his arms went around her waist to prevent her from falling. But what he felt after that was something he couldn't understand. Her touch and fragrance totally enticed him, but it was so dark that he couldn't see anything.

He tried to make her stand straight, but the sudden silence in the hall drew his attention towards the stairs and they kept standing in that position throughout the time maan proposed geet.

But as soon as light came back he shifted his eyes towards the girl in his arms to steady her so that he could join the crowd in the applause and hootings. But boy...!!...he was himself in for a big surprise. The very girl for whom he was waiting from hours was now in his arms...so close...!!

He couldn't believe his luck and his heart was going mad with joy...!!

His eyes got fixed on her ever so innocent face and mesmerizing glow on her skin. But what amazed him more was the fact that his single simple touch shook his very core...!!...Never in his life has he felt like this. It all seemed so pure so serene...so surreal...!!

And when he saw her turn her face towards him, his eyes frozed and he got drawned in the deep oceanic eyes of the angel.

Seeing him not responding to her voice and looking at her surrounding full of people, she wriggled in his hold slightly to get him out of his dreamland and that did its work. Vicky felt her movements and realized he was still holding her and immediately came back to earth. He lifted her up and they straightened themselves.

Uh, I am...am sorry...he apolozied seeing her uncomfortable look and suddenly added to divert her attention...I am so glad that you came neha...!!

Its sneha...she replied

Huh...??

Its sneha...she finally looked up into his eyes and said...my name is sneha...neha mujhe sirf papa bulate...!!

Oh...okay, but I like neha too...he replied cheekily...and thank you very much for accepting my invitation...he added seeing her paying no attention to him.

I am here for my friend not for you...she said straight forward breaking his hopes and dreams into pieces and leaving him confused.

Uh,...umm...whatever but still I am glad...he smacked himself mentally...stop acting like a despo man...woh galat samajh legi...!!

Sneha badly wanted to run away from there, but as geet was busy she can't even meet her. But then she saw pari, meera and nt standing in another corner of the hall and without giving vicky any more response strode away to them leaving vicky baffled and slightly disappointed.

Raj and mohinder hugged both their kids, while naina and rano kissed geet's and maan's forehead affectionately. Raj took the mike forwarded by dev...

Okay, attention ladies and gentlemen...as you all have seen my eldest son has proposed his lady love a minute before and she has oblized him gladly...raj beamed while others listened to him with a smile...So, now I would like to disclose the third and most important occasion for which today's party has been held and that is the engagement of my eldest son Maan to my beloved Geet...!!

Geet was dumbfounded at his words...it was their engagement tonight...??...he heart screamed in joy which could clearly be seen in her big eyes. She looked towrds maan for confirmation and he simply winked at her mischieviously and she understood that it was all his plan.

She was totally ecstatic...!!

So, maan has already slipped the ring in geet's finger and now its geet's turn...raj informed and rano brought the ring and gave it to her. Geet was all of a sudden feeling extremely shy to even look at maan again.

Maan saw her condition and showing some mercy extended his hand without her asking and geet slipped the ring. The whole crowd again erupted in another loud applause thrilling the whole atmosphere. Maan and geet bend down and took the blessings from their parents.

Sam, adi, dev, vicky, nt, pari, meera, yash, sneha...everyone was happy with this alliance. Though sneha was still in a bit of shock, yet just by looking at them standing so close to each other she knew they are made for each other.

But there were some people who were not at all happy, instead they were seething in anger and jealousy. Alisha's body jolted with tremours of rage and jealosy. This was a complete shocker for her. She knew they were good friends, but never knew maan would propose her in full public and that too this soon. Her hopes to become maan's wife went down the drain.

On the other hand, sandy was totally mesmerized seeing geet descending the stairs in the spot light. She looked etheral and he was floored by her. Never in his life has he seen such a spakling beauty, though he had been with so many girls in his life. He felt a sudden urge to have a taste of her. Lust crept up his eyes overpowering all his senses. But when he saw a man grabbing her hand and then slipping his ring asif claiming her, a burning sensation scratched his ego.

Everyone went towards maan and geet and congratulated them. Vicky, dev, adi, sam, meera, nt, pari, yash and sneha congratulated maan and geet. They were extremely delighted.

Geet saw the questioning gaze of sneha and thought to clear everything...uh, sneha...woh...but before she could say anything, sneha hugged her and whispered...though I am upset for hiding this from me, but I can understand and I am much more happy...you both are made for each other...!!

Geet blushed at her words while her friends teased. Vicky's hawk eyes which were fixed on sneha saw the interaction between geet and sneha and thought...oh great, so geet is the friend for whom sneha decided to attend the party...he did a hula dance within his heart thinking geet will definitely help him winning sneha and smiled at them.

After the ring ceremony ended, vicky quickly went to the center hoding the mike and announced...

Okay guys, as you all know it is also the music release for my album, but this first song is not mine. As maan bhai wanted me to sing it for his lady love so here it is dedicated to Maan bhai and geet bhabhi on this beautiful occasion of their engagement...he turned towards maan and geet and requested...Bhai, geet...the dance floor is waiting for you both to start...!!

Maan smiled at his brother and extended his hand towards geet which she gladly accepted and went towards the dance floor. Vicky took the guiter and mike and signalled his band memebers to start the music...

Vicky placed the guitar around his neck and struck the strings. Slowly his companions started adding up the music. As the music filled the air with desires and love, geet felt maan bringing her closer to him putting his hand around her delicate waist. A chill ran down her spine feeling his cold hand on her bare waist and her breath hitched as he leaned forward to whisper...

You know mishty why I asked vicky to sing this one...she shook her head indicating him to continue...because this song created those sensations in my body for you for the first time and I was left breathless...with that he pressed a soft kiss behind her earlobe giving geet the feel of ecstacy once again...!!

As the lyrics entered her ears, she recalled that it was the same song on which he taught her ball dancing. A smile crept up her lips and she held him softly giving herself into the beautiful music and ambience and most importantly into the secure arms of her love...her maan...!!

Maan held her hand and twirled her around bringing her back to his arms. Everyone watch in awe as the two of them danced so gracefully. Their love was oozing out in the way they held each other, the way they were lost in each other's eyes, the way they were oblivious to the rest of the world. Their parents watch them with a big smile on their face feeling contented seeing their dream coming true, while their friends celebrated the success of the union of their two friends...!!

mmhmm...hey he he...mmhmm...oo...ho ho...

Soon others joined them on the dance floor, but it hardly mattered to maan or geet what the world around them was up to as their world resides in one another...!!

The song ended and vicky took hold of the mike yet again...

Thank you maan bhai and geet for the lovely dance and now its time for the first song of my album. So, hold your breath as here comes...woh pehli baar...!!

Here inside the hall, dev approached meera and asked her for a dance and without waiting for her reply took her to the dance floor. Sam made a face seeing all the couples dancing on the floor and looked towards adi who was busy talking to some of his friends actually collegues...hmph, stupid didn't even asked me for a dance. Its such a wonderful song...!!

She was busy cribbing when adi tapped on her shoulder and said...may I have the pleasure to dance with the beautiful lady...!!

All her anger vanished in thin air and she happily went with him to the dance floor.

Outside, away from the noise of the crowd, in the nest of nature...maan was running behind geet and finally caught her before she could move towards the gate leading to the party. Both were slight breathless with this chasing game and stood panting with geet's back on maan's hard chest and their heart beat mingling together...!!

In a swift move, he turned geet around and made her face him. As she looked into his deep dark eyes filled with passion, blood rushed to her veins making her eyes go blurr in dizziness...!!

He bend his lips towards her and caught her plump lips into his manly rough ones. He sucked deep showing his madness to her making her senses go numb...!!

Maan and geet were still kissing hearing the loud counting going on, as if welcoming the new year with the sweetness of their love and the heat of their passion...!!

Nt, pari, yash...sam, adi, dev, meera...all were counting, while sneha was suddenly feeling a weird feeling in her stomach like something was going to happen. She looked around everywhere to find some respite, but nothing was working.

Vicky saw the flicker of emotions crossing sneha's face and was utterly confused by her discomfort. He moved towards her to talk to her, but suddenly light went off as the counting reached 5.

Meera was excited to be the first one to wish dev new year and so was standing close to him. Raj, naina, mohinder and rano were beaming with joy as the new year was going to bring with it lots of good news and happiness.

Alisha was looking around for maan thinking to wish him first, but he was no where to be found in the hall and when the light went off it becme impossible. Sandy was obviously making out with one of his gfs, whom he met in the party, in the darkness of the corridor not bothering about the wishing thing.

Meera moved closer to dev, but suddenly she found something missing. Sneha moved towards some other corner inorder to find the exit as the whole atmosphere was suddenly suffocating her.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012...!!

Finally the clock struck 12 and amidst loud music and cheering the new year was welcomed. The light came back and everyone hugged each other wishing a properous new year to their loved ones. Meera turned to wish dev, but what she saw left her completely heart broken. Dev was standing at a farther corner hugging some other girl, wishing her.

Before she could make a move dev looked towards her and brought the girl with him to her...

Hey meera, this is my surprise...he spoke with a smile while meera tried hard to put up a fake smile...meet jiya, my girlfriend...!!

His words felt so acrid to her heart that she felt a hole might have formed in her heart. She gulped hard to clear her choked throat and replied...hi...nice to meet you...!!

The girl smiled at meera and said...oh my god, finally I got to meet you. You know dev talks a lot about you and I must say you are very pretty...!!

Meera simply smiled as she was not in a state to say anything. Dev came towards her and hugged her...

Hey, happy new year meera...!!

Same to you...she whispered and suddenly added...uh, dev I have to go now. I'll talk to you later...!!

But...

He interrupted but was cut short by her...I am sorry, but its an emergency...saying so she rushed out of the hall...!!

Sneha accidentally reached the opposite end from the entrance and bumped into the worst nightmare of her life. A sudden horror gripped her and she saw him approaching her with the same nasty smirk on his lips...!!

All of a sudden all the terrible memories borbarded her and tears form their way down her cheeks. Gathering herself and before he could reach her, she dashed out from there and left the hall...!!

She moved out in the garden and cried her heart out feeling terrible. The past from which she was running away from came back to haunt her gain. A fear gripped her heart and then she felt a hand on her shoulders. She turned around startled at the touch fearing him, but saw vicky standing infront of her...

Hey, are you alright...??...he asked and she could see the worry and concern in his eyes and voice. Without thinking anything else and in dire need of some soothing and support, she flew her hand around his neck and hugged him tightly crying her heart out...!!

As the final counting finished the sky was brightened by sparkling firecrakers, which brought maan and geet back to earth. Without breaking their kiss, maan mumbled in her mouth...

Happy new year, love...!!

Ha...ppy...n..ew...yea...r...!!

He smiled as her reply reached his ears, but it was low enough to tell him that she was on the verge of losing consciuosness. So, he slowly separated from her and let her take some breath.

They were panting heavily and there was a strange sense of satisfaction which could be easily seen in their eyes. Maan leaned forward and pecked her lips...

Thank you for making my new year so sweet and special...I'll cherish it the whole year...!!

Geet blushed at his words and hid herself in his arms, while maan chuckled at her reaction and couldn't thank god enough to send this angel in his life...!!
