Geet was left all alone her only companion was that letter

Maan's words were echoing in her ears "Ek baar letter phadne se pehle usse pad zarur lena [Before tearing the letter do read it once]

She opened the letter

Maan's letter

Maan: Geet main nahi jaanta k tum iss khat ko ek nazar dekhogi bhi ya nahi phir bhi ek umeed se ye khat tumhare naam se main likh raha hoon [Geet I am writing this letter for you with a small hope that atleast u will read it once though I am not sure off it]

Maan: Jaanti ho Geet uss raat jab maine tumpar haat uthaya tab uss pal se aaj tak main sekdoh maut mar chukka hoon aaj bhi main apni kismat ko kosta hoon k kya sochkar mere haatho ki lakeero mein ye waqt likh diya gaya jaha par main apni zindagi apni Geet ko takleef pauchane par majboor ho gaya [I have died a million deaths after that unfortunate night where I had to slap u against my will. I keep on blaming my destiny and keep on questioning myself was it that necessary to write this moment in the lines of my palm that I was forced to torment my own life my Geet was it that essential?]

Maan: Tumse zyada main khud ka gunegaar tha Geet haan maine humare pyar ki bezatii kithi aur iski saza mujhe jitni bhi mile utni kum hi hai [More than u I was the offender in front of my own eyes yes I had shown disrespect towards our love and every punishment would be small in front of this sin of mine]

Maan: Main issi khashmash mein ulaj raha tha k iss gunha k liye main khud ko kya saza duh tabhi humesha ki tarah tum mere andhere mein suraj ki roshni bankar aa gayi aur mujhe sahi raasta dhikaya [I was in a dilemma as I was not able to decide the right punishment for such a big sin of mine but as usual you showed me the right path by entering as the ray of sun in my world which was full of darkness]

Maan: Yaad hai maine tumse pucha tha k Geet tum mere ghar kyun aayi ho tab tum waha se bina kuch bole hi chali gayi par tum chakar bhi mujhse kuch chupa nahi paayi mujhse itna pyar jo karti ho issliye tumne mujhe apni aakhon se bata diya k Maan main tumhe saza dene aayi thi [ Do u remember Geet I had asked u the reason for coming to my house as usual u went away without replying but u love me to such an extent that u cannot hide anything from me hence u answered me through your eyes that Maan I was here to punish you]

Maan: Tumhare ek jawab ne mujhe itni khushi di k main usse lafzo mein bayan nahi kar saktha main bade hi besabri se apni saza ka intezaar kar raha tha [Your one answer gave me the happiness that cannot be described in words I was waiting impatiently for my punishment]

Maan: Meri Geet mujhe kabhi bhi zyada takleef mein nahi dekh sakthi ye main jaanta tha aur dekho meri ye baat sahib hi saabit ho gayi tumhare saza dene ka tareeka kitna pyara tha [My Geet can never see me in pain and look I was right you selected such a sweet way to punish me]

Maan: Tumne mujhse DOSTI kar li [U extended the hand of friendship in front of me]

Maan: Par tab bhi tumne mujhe dhoke mein nahi rakha tumne apni nazre jhuka lithi jab hum dono k beech dosti hui thi aur main samaj gaya tha k ye dosti sirf ek naatak hai [ But u did not hide anything from me you had lowered your gaze when we became friends and I understood that this friendship is fake]

Maan: Tumne iss nakli dosti ki shuruwat kitne wafadaari se ki main toh kabhi bhi tumse itna pyar kar hi nahi saktha jitna k tum mujhse karti ho [ The basis of this fake friendship was trust I can never love u the way u love me]

Maan: Maine bhi tumhare har ek faisle mein tumhara saath diya aur saath hi saath apne wo beethe hue pal jo kabhi bhi lautkar nahi aa sakthe unhe tumhare saath guzarne ki koshish ki [I stood with u in every decision of yours and I tried to revive the moments that were lost long back in our past by spending some time with u]

Maan: Jab tumne wo saaree pehni toh ek pal k liye laga k shayad mere pyar ka ehsaas tumhe ho gaya hai par dusre hi pal main ye samaj gaya k tum toh mujhe maaf kar bhi doh par humara pyar tumhe mujhe maaf karne ki gawahi nahi dega maine humare pavitra rishte ko tesh jo pauchayi thi tumpar haath uthakar [When I saw u in that saree for a moment I felt that maybe you have forgiven me butthen very soon I realized my mistake that even though you wanted to forgive me but our love was not allowing you to do so as I had insulted our divine relationship by slapping u]

Maan: Tum toh ye sab meri khushi k liye kar rahi thi taaki main iss bojh se baahar aa pau kitna khayal rakthi ho tum mera Geet kitna khuskismat hoon main jot um mujhe mili [ U were doing this for my satisfaction so that u can relieve me from this sin you still care for me Geet I am indeed lucky]

Maan: Aaj prom night hai aur main jaanta hoon k aaj ka special function kya hai College ka trustee hoon toh ye baat janna mere liye mushkil nahi hai aur tum tak ye khabar bhi maine hi pauchayi thi wo message jo ek unknown number se tumhe mila tha who darasal mere ek employee ka number hai ussi se maine tumhe iss special event k baare mein information di thi [Today is the prom night and I already knew about the special function that was going to take place being the trustee of this college it is not a difficult task for me. I had passed this message to u remember u had got a message from an unknown number it was from the mobile of one of my employers]

Maan: Mujhe maaf kardoh Geet maine tumse ye baat chupahi par main kya karta main tumhe aur tadaptha hua nahi dekh paa raha tha [ I am sorry Geet pls forgive me I did not tell u about this earlier but I had no other option I just couldn't see u in pain]

Maan: Tum mera kitna khayal rakh rahi thi toh mujhe bhi tumhara khayal rakhna hi thana [You were taking care of me so this is my responsibility to shower u with the same care as well]

Maan: Phir kya tha maine tumhe propose kiya aur main jaanta tha k tum mera proposal thukrayogi aur meri bezathi bhi karogi [ I proposed u in front of everyone and I knew that u won't accept my proposal and u would go ahead and insult me]

Maan: Daro mat Geet main tumse naaraz nahi hoon main jaanta hoon tum toh mujhe haan kehna chahthi thi par mujhe sukoon mile iss liye tumne inkaar kar diya [Don't worry Geet I am not angry with u I know that u wanted to accept my proposal but u did this so that I could get over from my guilt]

Maan: Main aaj bhi tumse utna hi pyar karta hoon Geet jitna k pehle karta tha aaj mujhe khushi hai k mere haar se tumhari jeet ho gayi meri bezathi se tumhe khushi mili aur mera yakeen mano Geet tumhe khush dekhkar mere dil ko jo sukoon mila haina wo sukoon mujhe aaj tak nahi mila [I still love u Geet and I am happy that my loss has made u win my insult has made u smile and believe me Geet this is the happiest day of my life as today u r smiling because of me and my heart is experiencing a strange happiness as u r happy today]

Maan: I love u Geet aur mujhe mere zindagi ka sabse haseen lamha dene k liye shukriyaan [I love u Geet and thanks for gifting me the most beautiful day of my life]
