I wonder if the character of Maan had the martial arts aspect written into it or the CVs/writers/Nissar (who really visualised the characters that we got) decided to put it in when they realised GC was going to be playing the role. Maybe he himself suggested it as a way for him to showcase his skills.

I guess this is why the Geet team seems like such a happy place. They actually seem to think, for the most part anyway, and incorporate specific skills and features of the actors into the characters, which only serves to enhance their presence. Also, it will make the show a more enjoyable and fulfilling experience for GC because he gets to do what he loves and will obviously up the TRPs because of the novelty factor.

Yup! No doubt that MSK would have been a different thing altogether without GC's talent and his unique skills, that were all put to use perfectly by the CVs. I see the MSK we got as a brilliant effort by all these people to recognise and understand each others contributions and make everything add up to what we got finally.

Swati Pande said in an interview that she wrote MSK as the ideal man but I think Nissar with his direction brought the necessary conflict and flaws to his character. And GC, what can I say, that paradox he brings about between harsh and gentle, those split second transformations in his expressions and his entire body language are just beyond brilliant. Even in Friday's episode he is shouting at Adi with the sternest expressions and the moment Geet touches his hand, his face softens ever so subtly! I just can't get enough if those precise facial movements!

I just read that Gurti gave a joint interview at the SBS party, which will apparently air next week some time. We will have to see if they show them in the same frame in the actual segment though. 😕

But now that NPM is back I believe anything can happen! 👍🏼
