Amazing symbolism with the swing and Maaneet's life Samana!

I agree.. that no matter how many times these two have gone away from each other whether intentionally or unintentionally.. they've always come swining right back .. I love that the terrace is sort of their secret place where they go away from the rest of the world and just spend time with each other..much better than hanging around in the bedroom or living room .. and it has so much nature and greenery there too .. adds to the aesthetic feel..
And I also agree about Vikram invading that space.. I mean he started off by placing the gift there.. and from there itself we knew that he would do anything and everything to invade and take over Maaneet's life.. he will go to any length to get to Geet and the challenging aspect of escaping Maan is something he finds thrill in ..
Amazing post Samana ... loved it! :D

Thanks for answering my desperate plea and responding to this! ๐Ÿ˜†

I completely agree that the terrace is such a romantic hideaway for these two, from the rest of the world. Not only does it add to the aesthetic appeal of a scene, like you said, it also affirms the connection with nature that they have had from the beginning with the open air and the greenery. It shows that them being together is as natural and inevitable as stars shining and plants growing. It also allows for plenty of chanda mama face time, another aspect of their romance. ๐Ÿ˜‰

You know now that you mention it, this is the second time Geet is mistaking the stalker for Maan on the roof. The first time was when she thought he gave her the dupatta. The dream could even be incorporating that incident, which is playing on Geet's subconscious.

Thanks for clearing up a lot of confusion that arose in my mind after Wednesday's episode.

Geet running into Vikram's arms is prophetic..(I hope...can't trust these cvs at all.)

It seems to indicate how their story is likely to proceed. If the cvs use this track intelligently, they'll connect the whole journey to this scene in the end.

The dream sequence seems to cover Geet's life after Maan falls for Geet post ML up to the stalker's entry and its effect on her life.

The soothing movements of the swing, radiant happiness on Geet's face, the terrace itself, where they've shared many private moments (hope they use it for the song I was telling you about, one day.) all spoiled by the stalker's presence.

Lucky describing the stalker's physique being like Maan;s is done for a purpose I guess.
It could possibly be used for an actual sequence where Geet actually mistakes him for Maan later in the story. and runs to him in a similar fashion only to realise that he is indeed her bete noir.
That she's likely to trust him as an old friend and confide in him is hopefully a given...only then will there be any meat to the cat and mouse game if the Cvs are planning to go that way.

I only hope that we don't see a terrified and helpless Geet till this track is done...one, coz, that's NOT our Geet and, two, this could mean that the Amritsar Toli may hang around longer to support Maaneet. That's a truly horrifying thought...more horrifying than the stalker's antics!๐Ÿ˜†

Ah the song! Yes! It would be perfect for them, and that too in their new special spot on the terrace. It could be them reclaiming the terrace and erasing the stalker's unwanted, invasive presence.

I agree that she should mistake him for someone she can trust later in the track so the dramatic irony intensifies, with us being fully aware of the stalker's double identity and watching Geet unknowingly fall further and further into the trap he has laid.

I agree. At some point after they have exhausted all of DD's fab fearful expressions, I them to have a scene where she feels uncontrollable anger and frustration at manner in which the stalker has reduced her to a scared cowering creature. I want her to scream and rage and break things, before she finally rallies and channels her anger towards fighting back!

I loved the idea yesterday that some people voiced that Geet only becomes feisty when her loved ones are in danger. So maybe when the stalker threatens Maan she will have to rise from the ashes to fend him off, essentially on her own, as seen in the dream.

Hmmm Hellooo i read this in the morning and at that time i guess i was still sleeping...but now that you have brought up the sequence of the dream...i feel like symbolising that dear old swing.
The swing...and moves back and forth...like a pendelum...the environment in which Geet was sitting in, was a peaceful one...which symbolized the place of Maaneet...
it is like even in her home...she no longer feels protected...worse yet...even in her sleep, and dreams she feels no longer protected...
this guy has penetrated her comfort zone...by entering the house many times...during Maan's absence...and in maan's absence
funny thing is, this whole thing started on the terrace...and lastly ended in her bedroom...
she dreams of herself on the terrace in her room...ironic isn't it samana? hopefully u understood with what i meant towards the end...
and i loved your thoughts on the dream...especially the thought to have wrapped that dupatta around her and to know that it was given to her by a stranger...and then later to be wrapped around by his arms in her sleep...
the connection, of the duppata she wrapped that vikram gifted her...down to later being hugged by him...goes hand in hand don't u think?

Oh nice! I love the idea of the terrace signifying Geet being exposed and vulnerable rather than safe inside, although Vikram has penetrated that barrier before as well. I agree that she no longer feels safe, even in her sleep which is why she clings to Maan when she wakes up and refuses to go back to sleep, trying desperately to maximise her physical contact with Maan, ensuring that this, unlike her dream is real.

I do think the dupatta scene has a connection here. Let's see, he left her a letter, which she thought was from Maan and she went on the terrace. So it connects with him deceiving her into thinking he is trustworthy and luring her into a position of vulnerability, ie alone on the terrace.

However, the dream shows some progress from the dupatta scene. In the dupatta scene, Geet didn't find out it wasn't from Maan until she came down the stairs and was presented with Maan's real gift. She was happily draping the dupatta around herself before she found out and threw it out the window, back in her room. On the other hand in the dream, she ran into his arms out of fear. She was once again enveloped by the stalker and fooled into trusting him but in the dream time she found out on the terrace itself that he was not Maan. She didn't have to come down to do it and she didn't need a clue from Maan to do it.

I think this could herald Maan being distanced from the situation by the stalker through blackmail or something, like he threatens to hurt Maan if Geet tells him anything so Geet has to figure out ways to deal with this in her own after a point.

Let's see where it goes...

Aww that swing symbolism...that very first swing scene where Maan is almost shirtless and Geet is delicious pink๐Ÿ˜› Yup wherever these two go...they will always find each other without any third party interruptions or without any "I am getting married to somebody else bc of my ego"๐Ÿ˜‰ You know who I am referring to right?๐Ÿ˜› Thats what I have like about Maneet...there has been no third party that has ever caused to go drift apart...yes Dev did come but Maneet's fight was more about their ego rather than misunderstanding from Dev๐Ÿ˜ณ The swing symbolism is apt for them because they have a magnetic force between them which will always bind them together in their highs and lows (like the highs and lows of the swing)๐Ÿ˜†

Exactly...he fooled her twice...by the duppata...as she draped it around her happily not knowing that it wasn't from maan...
then running to him out of fear...
but also the moment she found out about how it was not maan...she pushed him away with disgust immediately...the same way she threw the dupatta away with disgust.
The one thing i don't want her to do is play quiet quiet...cause i see that most of the time in many shows...i want her to tell Maan everything
also did u notice how they never showed his face when she looked at him in her dream? which means she still hasn't seen his face...doesn't recognize him well enough to fight him...
so even now she is still an easy target...

So true. He has a huge advantage over her because she has no idea what he looks like, only recognises his voice. I am sure he will use this to his advantage as he did with Maan. ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

Even I don't want to see her being quiet. I hope she musters some fighting spirit once his actions become a little more predictable and she knows what to fight against!
