Thanks all for contributing your ideas on the dance sequence and our take! There are a million ways to look at it and think about it so why not choose the one that gives us the most satisfaction? We can choose to be unhappy over the technical flaws or we can put our idle imaginations to use and make sense of it all as we have done!

I agree that the dance showed a spontaneous Maaneet, full of love and energy. The dance was performed with so much gusto, even though the steps and composition were a little hodge-podge, that it made me smile in spite of myself. For me the intense expressions and the narrative that could be derived out of the sequence is now much more important than the technical aspect, because the energy and mood of the scene (mainly Maan's desperate efforts to cheer Geet up) were infectious!

I also noticed one more thing that adds to our interpretation. It's only at the end of the song that we hear the female voice sing the lyrics. To me this fits perfectly with our idea of Geet finally forgetting her troubles to be with Maan in the moment. All this time he has been singing to her, convincing her that they will be fine if they are together and finally his touch, his hold does the magic and she repeats his sentiments.

Keep discussing. 😃

Why is it all the negative topics get more than 5-6 pages and this has only around 10-15 comments :\

OMG !!!! Thaaank you sooo much to both of you @ skg and Z. I am actually one on the people who didn't think much of the dance ---but reading your post has opened up a whole new perspective and thought process for me. Thanks again for going beyond the skindeep and taking time to explain. Cheers !

@sky : Totally agree with your post.
I loved the dance. It was just perfect. the song , lyrics is just perfect for the situation. How they have included the stalker in the song and everything is fab.
A husband and wife dancing on her birthday. The dancing does not have to be perfect. Expressions and emotions are all there. Both were looking so lovingly to each other and just trying to have fun and enjoying.
DD & GC has given full justice.
After a long long time I am watching the repeats and everytime enjoying more and more.
Wants to see more scenes like Maan & Geet enjoying their romantic moments when the stalker is around.
