After that what? Dev-NT are imprisoned. End of story? I would have preferred to see Geet take on Dev and Nt in an unconventional manner and make them suffer on a day to day basis. They will keep hatching plots and she and Maan will keep thwarting them. Now that can keep the show engaging. Throw in Maan's past ka tadka and Vicky. I'm sure it would have been one interesting tale. By the way I always wanted to see Geet continuing her education (a college track which brought in Vicky would have been interesting here) and taking up a profession completely independent of Maan. The domestic tussles between two equally successful people could have paved for another track. A business set back and Maan's financial woes could have brought in a Abhimaan like track. The possibilities were endless even with a married Maaneeet. Unfortunately the CVs avoided everything that was logical and went in for the stupidest of tracks.

The live-in, coupled with the court case would have been fantastic. If that was the reason they didn't get married, that is, Geet didn't want to until Dev was behind bars, that would have been so powerful! The idea that they couldn't fully be together until she got justice, I love it!

Asolutely that would justify the live in track. Maaneet would never go all the way😉but we would still gebt some steamy scenes☺️. I also thought Dadi would oppose Maaneet marriage when the truth came out as it would be natural for her to try to protect family name. This could be another reason for live in. In the hands of Swati & Vincent I'm sure this track would get justice.

One other thing I loved about Swati/Vincent's vision was that Dev-Geet was never an option after the first track and I don't think that was just because of the success of the Maaneet jodi. In any other show I can see Dev divorcing NT to do right by Geet and Geet marrying him to do right by her child, despite being in love with Maan, lots of awkwardness and compromise. But not in GHSP! Geet fell in love with Maan and stood by it. Even Dev stood by his crazy marriage until Ved Raj was introduced.

I always wanted Dev to be married to NT till the end of the show but the current CVs are more interested in making him the Guinness Record holder for marring the maximum no of times😡

And I absolutely loved the IP track. I thought it was brilliant. Even though they were separated, they were interacting in every episode and the issues they tackled were so intense! The conversation they have after all the ice chopping ☺️ was just beautiful, with Geet trying so desperately to assert her independence and Maan letting her go. It still gives me goosebumps!

I also loved the IP track. I loved MSK's intense passion along with his ego mixed with love☺️. Geet's determination to prove herself, Loved the Maaneet fights😳, the Zaleem Singh Khurana title😆, Geet's vow to take chun chun ke badla😆. My personal fav is when Geet was changing into that worker suit MSK stormed in😉 she turned around☺️ & he didnt know what to do. Then he saw her struggling with the straps he slowly moved ahead & tied the straps☺️. It was for me one of the best Maaneet scenes till date😳. The dance sequence to make Geet jealous. Maan crossing all limits in his restlessness. The subsequent slap by Geet. Everything was so intense, passionate & powerful it still gives me goosebumps☺️. I thought the IP track was cut short just like the Pauper track.

@Opti: Yes I also think they hurried all the tracks too much. It happened bcoz the PH is inexperienced & cant handle things properly neither success nor failure. I loved all the options you gave to advance the story in a proper way. If only if they had the mind & courage to do that.

@Opti:After that nobody knows how things would hv taken shape even in trps na ..and based on trps track would hv gone in some other direction rather than going in Amritsar direction na 😆 Mayb Dev-NT supreme court jaate ...would hv come out of jail and some more drama and suspense😛...toh jo bhi hota at least present scenario se toh better hota 😆

I want a RC track in geet on SD this is the only way to save geet with RC atleast mistakes done in the present geet can be rectified & old writers like swwati & vincent can also be brought back so now I don't have any expectations from this present geet instead now I am on a mission to make sure that geet stays in SD with a RC track any idea on what are the chances of geet in SD as somebody said that it has bright chances of stay in SD & per my little experience considering maneet are the only ones to have gone for promotions in gujrat london ITA so chances are great now I am on a mission to see geet on SD with a RC track there they can show another social issue live in & all the mistakes can be rectified

@Priya:If GHSP is continued on star desh then toh definitely this circus party and MP wont b there becuase it will b all new story and cast except for GC-DD who will b only common factor then ..

but to get Geet in star desh ,we need to make sure it survives till Dec with some decent trps at least

I have to disagree on this. The Devtara-Maaneet cat and mouse sounds like pretty run of the mill, soap opera drama to me actually. I think a court case and Dev being brought to justice would have been far more unconventional (And like Jyoti said, it didn't have to be 100% realistic). That was actually one of the things I loved about Maan's character. He was a man's man but not over-macho in the sense that he didn't beat anybody up himself unless necessary. He normally went through the law, as proven by the restraining order.

When I said I would love if they could never be together fully until she got justice, I meant marriage. It would have been interesting if Geet refused to make her relationship with Maan official until Dev and NT were in prison, the potential MC being incorporated and giving fuel to the mission as well as Maan's past being introduced for drama.

What then? I think the college/Vicky track could have been introduced then and they could have also gotten married, or not gotten married.

I do agree that the possibilities were endless after marriage though. Yes, they changed the direction but that did not have to mean the end of all long-term stories. But none of the writers they brought had the vision needed to carry the show forward decisively.

@Samana:I m sure if Swati had thought of live-in + Justice track together ,they mayb she had a plan to further take the story ...see they r the ones who created Sameera and Vicky too ...so eventually after the justice track ,they would hv brought Sameera and Vicky too instead of creating Annie which is again Ved raj ka creation 😆

My point is old writers started it all with a proper plan and lot of characters who r yet to come in the picture like Vicky or Sam ..but those were old writers ka creation ...so today if they were on board ,those characters would hv come in the picture after the justice track for sure ...

jyoti how can we be sure that the circus party and mp will be gone! What if they stay. I haven't been watching geet since the past week and see no reason to, no maan no geet, least the ones I recognise.
