I couldn't attend the Star live event, but was determined to meet DD. However I had no idea of the hotel in which she was staying. So I decided to note down all the hotels near Wembley arena...thinking surely she must be in one of them! So after my class I started calling up and on my third attempt I succeeded. I asked the reception if I could speak with one of their guests, Miss. Dhami. She asked me, "is the first name Drashti?" At that point I got excited and quickly replied, "YES! That's right." But then she said, "she's not here...she just checked out." As soon as I heard that, I felt a sting
I tried my level best to meet up with DD but alas! I guess the stars were not with me. Kehte hain ke zindagi mein baar baar mauke nahin milte hain but I shall remain optimistic. I know that this was my best chance ever to meet her in person and give her the gift that I had bought for her but I guess I will have to put that on hold for now. Bahut kuch maine kehna tha but even those words will have to be witheld by me. I just hope that I get that one chance in this life time! I have never actually done something like this before and meeting up with her would have been a bit of a struggle as the area is far from my location. But some people are worth it ;)
And to all those that actually met her in person, you are very lucky and please cherish that moment. You are envied by people like me who have tried and tried yet failed! Oh, how I wanted to see DD's warm smile in person and tell her how much she is loved. Chalo, koi baat nahin. Maybe some day. But till then, I will keep her chain with 'D' on it safely in my cupbaord, until I can present it to its rightful owner.
