@Opti:Yes its too early to say ..but my piont is if GC-DD wants a long career in showbiz,then cashing on the current brand value is important irrespective of whatever thier fans say ...they should remember that as brand they got a chance to perform on a rival channel zee tv show ,then on gold awards and also if u see the Gujarati dandiya video ,their the whole bunch of crowd went mahiii and shouted Maaneett ...so its nothing less than a mass hysteria and if GC-DD r clever ,they will care any damn about those link-ups and just cash on their brand value by giving more diplomatic interviews rather than honest ones .

coming to TV ,take the case of Rajeev-Aamna only ...they hv more psychotic fans than Gurti 😆..when Rajeev got hitched with a girl and then Aamna got hitched with Aftab ,respective fans ripped them apart from both sides but in interviews both maintained a diplomatic stand of how they would love to work together in future as they know how much fans like them 😆...its another story they never worked together but even a false hope makes the fan love these actors and their career remains stable too

You are forgetting an important fact. Both Rajeev and Amna were not in any committed relationship when the gossip mills worked overtime. Here one of them is married and the other is called a homebreaker. As to the stability of their careers I dont see any relationship between that and their so-called diplomacy. Rajeev is more into films (except anchoring a reality show) and Amna has been quiet for so long except for some news of a show recently.

if GC-DD hv no plans for a long term career ,then mayb such honest replies wont affect them but if they hv plans for a long term career in showbiz ,then such direct replies will affect them because the general viewers who r giving fame to these actors and might watch their new shows in future will not see their back history but will judge them on their interviews in media ...

Public have a notoriously short memory. At the end of the day what counts is your performance of the show on air, not past interviews.

The respective 1000 fans of each actors cannot really save their careers or take decisions on their behalf na 🤔

No they cannot. That is why they should do what they feel is right without being lectured about what is right and what is wrong for their careers.

Jyo, every person has a threshold point up to which they can take things and when that is broken nothing else matters. What guarantee is there that giving diplomatic answers will give them more offers in future? Should they trade their current peace for an uncertain future? As I said, it is a highly individualistic decision and who are we to feel we know more than them as to what is good for their future? Let them make their own 'mistakes'. Maybe they may not be mistakes after all.

Nice discussion...

to me it boils downs to saying...
If GC can go get his wife's name tattooed on his wrist and shoot and show the same hand to fans ...and still be accepted and loved as a good actor...
then DD can damn well say she wants to work with new co stars and still be loved for the talent and beauty.DD also has a family and her family also will have an opinion on her reputation.

At the end of the day...we all like the actors for how well they essay their roles..if the actor is good..we are able to leave their personal life behind to watch them.

And DD herself has said this...that at the end of the day they also like to have a simple life.
Working with GC is making life complex for all the reasons we have seen so far.

Agreed , maybe no other pairing may reach Gurti hysteria...but that might not be the focus of Gurti probably? May be ..next time round they want to win best actress and best actor ...and not best jodi award...?Maybe they may win best jodi with someone else...only time will tell.

Its very unfortuneate this so called fans spilting up and blasting on each other if DD OR GC get to know about it they will only feel bad its very painfull and hurting for real fans ,hello all

sorry for entering in the middle of discussion...

an intelligent person uses the opportunity ..which he/she has in hand...

Humans tend to forget the things very easily...today GHSP is our fav. show..who knows tomorrow another show may come which will erase all our GHSP memories...today who are drooling over GC may not like him tomorrow if another better person than him comes ..same is the case with DD...

In short ..this period is the golden period for GC and DD...for earning more name and fame...

The rumours of their link-up appeared from nowhere and in the same way they disapperaed too...they both by their separate interviews gave more weightage and strength to the rumours...

anyways...as i said...this is the golden period for them...if they don't want to utilize it...its their wish...

fans may feel hurt ..but after few days they get busy with their own lives where they don't even have time to think about these issues...

Hey we are not blasting anybody here..I like GC too.
All I am saying is if we can accept him with his personal and professional life choices..we an accept DD too with her choices.

Secondly...how do we know what is hurting Gurti more...
a) rival fan group fighting
b) working on the sets constantly watching themselves over what to say/do and what not..so as to not attract media/fan speculation?
c)Fear if they will make it big with any other co-actor.
d) Fear that DD may get blamed again for anything in GC personal life.
e) Duck and hide each time there is a award ceremony dance to perform..wondering if the other person does not want to perform with them?

We dont know...whats really hurting GC or DD.
I do believe in the myriad of other issues they have...rival fan groups fighting is not a new or big thing...that happens with almost every hit jodi.

Look at Karan Kritikka..who are real and reel life pair.But even then..Kritika is trying it out with new co actor Mohnish Behl..in a new serial. Whether the jodi is hit or not...she will be remembered for trying it out with a new co star.

In the same senses ..if DD wants to work with someone new...nothing wrong or unprofessional in it.

I think wat DD said wasn't wrong but there are other ways to work around the question she was asked.
She is an actress and of course she will be workin with many different male actors...she has to it is her career...but the way she answered it was pretty dumb and in the end she just ended up creating drama...by saying, sure I will work with guru again if we get an offer...but the moment enjoy watching us on geet after all we r jus actors and sooner or later we also have to experiment with other actors as well...
Would have not meant that she has to work with him again...being frank is not always a good thing...I too am frank and being that at times I do not realize that I am being mean or hurting someone or even hurting myself.

Bru, it is precisely for this reason that they dont want to work with each other in future I think. They still get along very well and have no ego hassles. If today they are reluctant to even give hopes of working in future together it is because they want to put a full stop to this madness.

Bluefish, I wouldn't make this out to be a one- upmanship by saying if it is good for GC why not for DD. It is not about that at all. These extreme reactions by the actors are a fallout of the extreme reactions of certain fans. I agree with you on the point that they may prefer to win the best male and female actors rather than the jodi award or maybe they dont care for awards at all. We do not know what their priorities in life are. All we know is that they are trying to maintain some peace in their private lives and are even willing to face the flak from their fans for it.
